Title: By far the best guide and I looked at a few
Review: By far the best guide and I looked at a few!! We are back from our 2 week charter and this is the one that is scattered around the BVIs in various bars and restaurants, seems to the guide of choice. It's accurate, easy reading, succinct and comprehensive at the same time. My only build would be that a bit more of a steer on the cost of the various restaurants and provisioning stores would be very handy (Lonely Planet stylie). You might plan to stock up in a certain place/eat out e.g. The Bitter End, Virgin Gorda, and seriously get ripped off!!! Watch the costs as stores and restaurant price varies!!

Title: but served a better purpose as a sailing aid
Review: I just got back from a sailing trip to the British Virgin Islands. I did a lot of research on what guide book to purchase. This book received many recommendations, so I decided to purchase it.We were sailing bareboat, so did not have a crew with us. Two of us had moderate sailing experience, and two were seasoned sailors. I was hoping the book would give us the extra insight we needed to successfully navigate the BVI.The recommendations were spot on, and the book is a must have for sailing those islands. It served well as a guide book, but served a better purpose as a sailing aid. The detailed descriptions and full color photos helped us navigate the islands with ease. I would recommend this book to anyone sailing the BVI.

Title: Only Reference Youâll Need to Cruise BVI
Review: We four couples bareboat sailed the BVI for two weeks recently. It was the first time in BVI for all of us. We arrived with three different BVI sailing references among us, but soon found that we needed only this âCruising Guide to the British Virgin Islands.â It has it all: Beautifully illustrated and easy to use with water-repellent pages; well-selected photos; crisp, clear maps and planning charts; useful aerial photos; up-to-date information on moorings and anchorages, water depths, fees and resort supplies, amenities, and restaurants; must-see sights; and recommended snorkeling and diving sites, etc. It is a uniquely useful sailing reference that I wish other island sailing locations offered.

Title: Excellent Product. This appears to be The GO TO book for the BVI.
Review: Excellent Product. This appears to be The GO TO book for the BVI. There was a boat copy on our sailboat when we arrived. Our sailing instructor referenced it regularly, and knew everyone in the book (small community), including the gal on the cover. We referenced it regularly for excellent anchoring and mooring information. The only problem was that everyone else decided to go the the "nice secluded spot" recommended. Thus, they were no longer nice and secluded, especially when the Americans behaved as usual, expecting everyone around to appreciate their loud behaviors and loud trendy popular socially programmed music.

Title: BVI Guide
Review: It was a great guide seemed up to date for all the places we stopped. If you go bring a decent guide book and this is certainly as good as any The chart was even decent although I wouldn't navigate with it well maybe in the BVI's where you can point to where you want to go

Title: It had great tips on where to anchor
Review: This guide was our bible while cruising in the BVI. It had great tips on where to anchor, where moorings were scarce/how many were available at a given location, and of course how to approach each island or bay. It helped us figure out where to go for the night based on the ocean swells, where the best snorkeling was and what our dinner and provisioning options were. When we got to our charter sailboat an older edition of this same guide was onboard, and I know of many people who used it. It's the best guide for the area that there is. Thanks to this guide we had a great cruise!

Title: If You Are Going to the Virgin Islands Buy This Book..In Advance.
Review: This book was invaluable to us in the BVIs. The descriptions of the islands, harbors, moorings, restaurants, and attractions were detailed and accurate. We referred to the book and maps many times a day while sailing and to plan our time on land. If you are going to the BVIS get this guide a head of time and keep it close while you are down there. It's well constructed too and held up great.

Title: Very useful
Review: I got this for my first BVI charter. It turned out that the boat I chartered already had a copy on board so in a sense I didn't need to have spent the money. However, I found that by having the book ahead of time I was able to have great familiarity with the BVI before getting there, which is what I prefer. In my opinion it's well worth the money and I don't see how a person could navigate about these waters without either this book or something equivalent . . . and this one is very good.

Review: This is a wonderfuly written with clarity so both first time sailors and people like me with 47 years experience will enjoy the comple Island package. I will be using it to schooling my family on every aspect of what they can expect on our upcoming charter in 2017. Even though I have sailed the region before this guide will educate my family on the history, variety of terrain, anchorages, local customs and the ocean.
