Title: Slim fit, amazing sound.
Review: Used these in my son's single cab ranger with hardly any room. I was sceptical about the sound was clear and powerful. They work well and we're priced good. They look like classic pioneer speakers with pioneer quality . Would buy again.

Title: bought for my 06 4runner toyota
Review: this fit perfectly and was a plug-in play for my Toyota. I’m super happy with the speaker even though it’s not a super high-quality speaker it’s still sounds amazing and gives you that extra base that you need. there’s an amazing video on YouTube that tells you exactly how to plug and play this and the screws lineup perfectly and it wasn’t more than two hours of labor.

Title: Great replacement for stock JBL subwoofer in 2nd gen Tundra
Review: The foam in my stock "JBL" subwoofer cone finally deteriorated enough that music was almost unplayable in my Tundra, so I went seeking a replacement. Crutchfield actually led me to this speaker, but I thought I would check Amazon to try and get it quicker. Thanks to Jeff Bezos, I had a replacement woofer the next day and was able to swap out the broken JBL with this much more substantially construction Pioneer in about 20 minutes. I was able to use the factory speaker retainer ring and guard, even though the retainer didn't fit perfectly. Audio quality is about the same, maybe a bit better. This obviously isn't a booming system, but I do appreciate having the sealed bass enclosure when listening to music.

Title: Great sound good quality
Review: Installed this when replacing the OEM speakers in a Honda Civic 2008 Si. Needed the open air aspect and low profile. This bring so much more base than the original and fit in without any issues. The only thing is it would have been nice to have foam to place around the speaker upon install. I had to buy that separate. So if you know you will need foam to dampened the vibrations this doesn’t come with it.

Title: Thumps hard, high quality
Review: Bought a pair of these 12" shallow-mount Pioneers and they dropped into my low-profile enclosure just fine (didn't need to enlarge cutout if sub was too big or mount screws at odd angle if sub too small..), they thump HARD af, i was tired of my old dual 12 sealed box taking up so much space and got low-profile box which wouldn't contain my 2 Kicker 12s (exceeds mounting depth of box) so these shallow-mount Pioneer work well. Audio Quality is not quite as deep of bass as bigger box obviously (speakers aside) but for me, it's worth the "space vs bass" trade-off. Twas hard to find dual 12 shallow sealed box (most are for pickup trucks and too wide for me) but i scored a PAIR of single 12" low-profile sealed boxes on sale for 52 USD then bolted them together thru the middle. Also stuffed abt 8 oz of polyfill in each box (filled box nicely, could put more but didn't want it too packed/dense and start resisting the cone); never sound-tested w/o polyfill but maybe one day.. wise man buys 200-300 watt RMS subs like these Pioneer because they last forever, i started w/ cheaper 100-150 watt RMS subs for under 100 USD but ALWAYS one will fail after 2-3 yrs.. then it is hard to find new sub that matches working one because spkr manufacturers update the models every 2 yrs.. shame on me for swapping-out subs every 2-3 yrs over 15 yrs before thinking of getting higher-wattage subs. Hope this helps, thx for reading, have a wonderful day fellow audiophiles

Title: Perfect replacement 2010 Tundra JBL
Review: Bought this to replace my worn out JBL sub in my 2010 Toyota Tundra with the sub behind the seat. Fit perfectly in the factory box and wired right up. Base is great too. Not too much, just enough for this 40 yr old.

Title: Where's the bass?
Review: EDIT: I'm going to give this another try after building a smaller enclosure for it. The factory enclosure looks like it's about 1 cubic foot, but the product details suggest this subwoofer works best in an enclosure between 0.15 and 0.5 cubic feet. I’m also planning to use a mono amp matched to this sub's full RMS capabilities, connected to the subwoofer RCA jack on the back of my new Android Auto head unit. I’ll update this review with the results.Original Post: There was nothing physically wrong with the 2x2 ohm subwoofer in my 5th-generation Grand Caravan (about 7 years old), but I read that this sub was a good upgrade and it was recommended by Crutchfield. Installation was straightforward, with multiple slot arrangements that lined up well. I used new gasket sealing tape and cleaned the surface with isopropyl alcohol before installing it.It’s working fine, but to be honest, it feels like a slight downgrade from the original sub. The cone diameter is about 1/4" smaller, and the depth is about 3/4" less than the factory subwoofer. I’d suggest listening to it before reinstalling the moldings. It’s also helpful to play the same song before and after installation, and try isolating just the bass frequencies for a more accurate comparison. The suspension on this sub is much stiffer than on the 7-year-old factory sub, which likely impacts its performance. With the factory amp—expensive and difficult to replace in these CAN bus integrated systems—it’s not worth the hassle to upgrade. You could technically overload the amp by wiring to just one coil and then bridging to the other, but that seems like a risky move since electrical issues in vehicles can be time-consuming and costly to repair. If you’re looking for more bass, I’d recommend adding a secondary sub to your system rather than replacing the factory one.
