Title: One of the better 3D pens so far
Review: I've worked with a handful of 3D pensand this has been the easiest and most responsive. The manual is rather vague but does come with a link to Mynt3D's YouTube channel. Plenty of troubleshooting and idea videos to peruse. Here are a few things I've experienced while working with the pen:BalanceThe pen is super light weight. As with most 3D pens, the filament enters at the top of the unit. The power supply also attaches at the top end. I usually have my power cords suspended *above* my work space which helps to keep the power and filament weighing downward. It also helps me maintain control of the pen instead of constantly fighting with how unbalanced it can get.Quick to heatSuper quick to heat but to get that going you'll need to press forward button to start. You catch the temp reading in the bright OLED screen.SpeedIs adjustable by a sliding switch. Especially helpful if you've got some detail work and want the filament to chase you instead of the other way around.QUICK NOTE: double clicking the "forward" button will cause the pen to continuous feed.Overall, the pens ease of use and quick heating is a plus. I've got some plans for repair projects around the house but loads to make for fun!

Title: Great! I Would Buy It Again
Review: This is so great, I recommended it to my friend and they got it too. I have a 3D printer, but some things are better suited freehand. This allows you to break free of restraints of build plate restraints and allows you to do things that may fail on a printer because you can vary the control yourself, like a vertical standing string. There is a learning curve, you will definitely need more filament. I really like that this allows temperature settings for abs and pla. I can make 2 flat objects and then join them at off angles which I really like to create true 3d objects with ease. This of course comes at the cost of it only being as accurate as your hand moves. I suggest starting with the speed at the lowest level. Play with the temperature if needed. I suggest buying a roll of 20$ Pla filament for 3d printers like hatchbox unless you want the color variety. Then buy a 3d pen variety kit, but it will be more expensive. I was nervous about the temperature, but in reality, I can touch the filament as it just came out of the tip. I made a stand as my first project to hold the pen, but it turns out, letting sit flat on the silicone mat worked fine. The fresh pla was hot but wont leave a burn. The speed control, temperature control, and ease of use is amazing. Beware the chord is kinda short, i used it about 4ft from the plug, you may need an extension chord. The box it came in was packaged so nice! Youâll want a pair of tiny precision wire snips to cut off excess drool from your print, since as you pull away it will leave strings. I also got the myint doodle pad which was nice but not necessary to make precise shapes.I found the prints sometimes cooled and peeled off my surface. Using masking tape helped it adhere better, as is the same with 3d printing. If its an issue for someone, I wonder if some sort of mild heated bed would work, like a beverage heater..?I find in my use, the nozzle gets covered in the filament as I rub it around, so I bought a brush set from the dollar store and it works perfect to brush off the filament while the tips hot to keep it clean.I had to switch from red to green and it was very easy to change filament, both by unloading and by just following up. Be sure to read the little manual. I have never got a clog yet. By loading directly, I did get a weird color, with red and green it wasnât pretty, but I could see this being useful in applications to change colors often and create beautiful effects, although that is likely not recommended since it could cause clogs. The pen fits nicely in my hand and is easy to manipulate. I was worried it would be big, but it is just right.

Title: Great tool for manual 3d printing!
Review: I bought this one as a replacement for the 3Doodler and though it costs a little less, it actually has more value for the money. It does not overheat generally, so I don't need to wear gloves. The pen transitions easily from one color of PLA to the next and, as of today, has not jammed at all unlike the 3Doodler which jams quite often. This pen isn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, but works well and is easy for a first time user to determine how to use. The extruder does get quite hot though, so I suggest parental observation when used by children to prevent burning.Unfortunately, here we are at day 32 since delivery and it no longer works at all. The mechanism that pulls the PLA through no longer works. It is customer service garbage that I can no longer return it after just 32 days. Total waste of money! Don't buy it.

Title: Check your expectations!
Review: First, if you are looking into 3D penning for the 1st time, you're probably expecting to "draw" in the air. Not happening! Not right out the gate anyway! Takes a lot of practice! But this pen can do it. It's super easy to set-up & fun to work with. 3D printing in the air is an unrealistic 1st time (2nd, 3rd...) expectation. My primary reason for wanting a 3D pen was to make "repairs" to my 3D prints but have found just "doodling" with it is a lot of fun. My 7 yr old granddaughter loves it too! Of course, I get it started for her, heated up & extruding, but then it's all I can do to get her to put it back down! I'm sure she could get it set-up by herself, I just haven't showed her how.I'm right-handed & she's left-handed. Never used one before this one so don't have anything to really compare it to but if there is a left-handed version, I think the buttons would be arranged better for lefty users. But then again, it's what you get used to!Heats up super fast, full range of temps & extrusion speeds that just take some practice working with, & auto shuts off. Not sure exactly how long before it shuts off but hasn't been an issue since it heats up so dang fast!In my research, this wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive but I have been more than pleased with the product & haven't felt that it is lacking or that I'm missing anything. Highly recommend & would definitely buy it again. (Actually getting one for my granddaughter for Christmas!)
