Title: It Changed How We Watch TV
Review: I purchased my 43" from Amazon Resale, so I was a little nervous until it arrived. I have to say it was absolutely perfect. The box was fully sealed, everything inside and everything was properly sealed or wrapped, so I am not certain why it was available via Amazon resale. Now to the TV itself. I was replacing a Sony 4k TV that was scratched when we moved. I was looking for something inexpensive because it would not be used much, But when needed, it would have good picture and sound quality, This Fire TV immediately delivered on both fronts. In terms of the UI, it was familiar as I have owned Fire TV sticks. That being said, I mainly used Apple TV but as I played with the TV I realized I was missing something. The UI was strong. I loved how it grouped Live TV items in the quide. Shortly after setting this up, I changed all my TV's to First Stick with TV remote so now every TV in the house runs the same way. I am enjoying the TV so much that I am considering replacing my 65" Samsung with a 75" Fire TV. I have read a lot of the reviews prior to jumping on this. Some had trouble with apps, such as Netflix. So far I have not experienced that. Of course there are many things that can influence that such as the signal strength and distance from the home router, as well as any interference with the wifi by the TV. The TV can easily play a role if cache is not working properly or not cleared. I know my wifi is strong in the area where I placed the TV.

Title: Five star TV when you look at the value.
Review: I have a lot of TV'S that run the full spectrum price wise. I recently am dealing with a housing change (divorce, ugh) and needed to get something quickly that I would like, but wouldn't kill me financially as my cash flow is locked down. For reference, at my original house, I have an 65" LG G2, a 55" 2022 Sony Experia, and two 43" Amazon Fire TV'S for bedrooms that are not the Omni versions.I was very impressed with the 43" base Fire TV. It had a solid albeit a bit dim picture, a fast responsive menu, and just generally was a good set for $300. I bought another, which is the ultimate sign if confidence. Two years later, they are still charging on. So, when I hit this current crummy reboot, I immediately looked at these again, but immediately moved on to the Omni option. I really needed a big TV. The LG C2 was what I really wanted, but the almost $3000 price tag was just beyond what I could do right now. Given all of this, I swallowed my TV snobbery, and ordered up the 75" Omni which I believe is manufactured by TVL for Amazon. Here are my thoughts.First off, what matters most is the picture. It is shockingly good. Mini LED tech is not generally as good as OLED. However, this picture really works. It is reasonably bright and the HDR content shines on Netflix and other high quality streams. This is a 60hz panel, so I do miss the faster processing on my higher end TV'S, but it is surprisingly close. The blacks here also surprised me. This TV can get really dark. Is it LG OLED good? No. Is it way better than one third of the price good? Heck yes! Most average eyes, will be really happy with the picture here.In terms of menu and interface, Gire TV'S are better than many including LG. I know, blasphemy! Try an LG and you will know what I mean. Their screens are absolutely the best, but the menus are a mess. At least for me. This TV automatically recognizes when I turn on the PS5 amd everything you need is right there. I don't notice the bloatware others have had issue with. I live in the Amazon ecosystem though so keep that in mind.In terms of gaming, this is where you will likely feel the difference. The picture looks amazing but when a game really gets going, on the PS5, you will notice some speed issues. However, it is very marginal. I think it really works just fine for the average gamer. So, what are you missing? First is the aforementioned screen speed. 60hz isn't fast enough. You get a really good HDR format though, and gaming images are very detailed and high end. You don't get Dolby Atmos but sound is OK. I really recommend a sound bar. I bought a 7.1 Vizeo with Atmos and the content sounds amazing via the HDMI Arc connection. The picture still isn't that bright. It is way better than the base Fire TV'S but it isn't amazing. There just isn't that much missing for me at this price. The bottom line is this: This is a tremendous value for the money. I can nitpick some things, but a 75" TV makes a big statement in most rooms and this one doesn't disappoint. Are there way better TV's out there? Oh, yes. Are ther better values? Not that I have seen. Buy with confidence.

Title: OMNI TV - The good...and the bad
Review: I may have taken a step backwards out of the gate. We had a more expensive VIZIO TV, that had failing LEDs, paired with a newer Fire TV Cube. Why backwards? Because the cube was newer and had features I wish the OMNI TV had. That said, the Amazon 65" OMNI has some very redeeming qualities.Let's open by saying this is an affordable TV for all the built in features. The issues I HAD started when I asked the TV to migrate my account from my newer cube. If you take this approach, you have to be patient and allow the new device time to load any apps. Set it up and let it do it's thing. I've found Fire TV products don't have great pop up alerts while this is happening. You feel like everything is loaded after the walk-through screens are completed, but they are not. Apps still need to load AND you still have to login to each of the apps. The Negative - When everything completed, I ran into an issue where the 'ambient experience' would not load any widgets and displayed and error. Forums suggested I check for software updates to the device. I had to do this a few times before an update appeared. So keep in mind, even if your TV says it's up-to-date, it may not be. The updates resolved the issue.Resolution control - I think Amazon is trying to make it easier. My biggest issue is I not only want to see that my TV is in 4k, but I want a choice for the resolution shown on screen. EX: 3840âÃâ2160 (4K UHD), etc. This TV doesn't have a display option to see those stats AND you have to his a button combination to see what resolution the TV is serving per app. Even when it does, the screen serves basic information...you TV is 1080p.Even in 4k, the main resolution of the Fire TV main menu screen is soft. They corrected this in the newer Cube, but I was hoping to find a setting, given software updates, that would correct this. The interface started very snappy, but over time tended to slow down AND apps began to lag. I'm sorry to repeat myself, but in the newer cube, this has been fixed.I've added external storage and have recently added a USB hub so I can keep my external storage and add a usb with family photos, should the need arise. This was all in hopes of taming the lag.The Positive - The ambient experience! The TV is on all the time and should you pass by, it comes to life with the crystal clear screensaver of your choice as well as widgets (should you choose to see them). The TV lets you set the time the experience appears. We have it turn off in the late evening in case the dog walks by the TV late at night, it won't appear. The TV mics work great with other Alexa's in the house and it is quick to go home or open anything verbally. The cleaner footprint - visually and digitally. The TV is thinner than our previous and we no longer have the cube sitting off to the side. The TV comes with the ability to allow screen sharing AND Apple Airplay. We no longer needed an older Apple TV connected to share. How does it compare to other Amazon devices you've purchased? I will have to say this is the LEAST delighted I have been with an Amazon device. We have Echos, Fire TVs and Echo Shows and this TV has not wowed us like other Amazon devices. That said, the value and time spent with the TV has improved over time. Sort of like a song you hear at first, and don't like, but it grows on you. After getting over the initial bumps, we do enjoy the TV. There is a lot of good for the price point. I can only hope Amazon keeps up with updates to all devices, and makes subtle improvements, to make me feel smarter for spending our money with them. BTW - I recommend the beta fish ambient experience.
Customers say

However, some customers have reported issues with slackness, functionality, and power. Opinions are mixed on the ease of setup, sound quality, and Alexa integration.
