Title: Takes time, but SO worth it!
Review: First, the good news - IT WORKS. The bad news is that the regimen is time consuming and can be a bit expensive for good quality products. But if youâre like me and have literally tried every product out there to no avail, try this and you wonât be disappointed. I am a female in my mid-30âs and have been battling acne for about a year and a half, both deep cystic pimples and surface blackheads. Whether itâs topical or in pill form, Iâve tried dozens of over the counter products, just as many natural/homeopathic treatments and have been to dermatologists and aestheticians. Things work for about a week for me then it all comes back, sometimes worse. My skin was stuck in a rut and there wasnât a thing I could do about it. I bought Dr. Dubrowâs book and read it in a day. I wanted to understand my acne before bust reading the âto doâ section and Iâm glad I did. Itâs good to know what youâre up against and why youâre doing what youâre doing.I bought mid-range products; not the most expansive high end stuff but definitely not the cheap stuff and I bought an ice pack specifically for your face. All in all I probably spent $80-100 for everything. Itâs a lot to do so get good with it, set aside enough time, and get to it. I did the program morning and night straight for about 2 months and about 3 weeks in I noticed things really improving. At 2 months I was a new person, honestly. I am convinced this program âresetâ my skin and I couldnât be happier. I have the occasional breakout now and again but they go away quickly and nearly as severe as they used to be. This has been a life saver for me. Acne can be so embarrassing and it only gets worse the more we cake makeup on. I was in a never ending cycle and following Dr. Dubrowâs acne cure program absolutely worked for me when nothing else did. I recommend this book 100%.

Title: Finally! A CLEAR young looking face!
Review: After spending thousands of dollars the last 25 years to find skincare to completely clear pimples, blackheads and control my EXTREMELY oily skin without drying out and aging my face, I finally found products and a routine that works for me after finding and reading this excellent book. I will admit that I DO NOT do the routine exactly as outlined in the book, but I still have gotten excellent results. Here is my am/pm routine:Morning Routine:1) Wash with Neutrogena oil free acne wash (has 2% salicylic acid with a pH of 3.8-4.2) for 2-3 minutes, rinse off and pat dry.2) Apply Alpha Hydrox 10% glycolic acid oil free formula (has a pH of 4)and leave on. I DO NOT rinse it off like it says to in the book.3) Wait 4 minutes and I then apply Neutrogena oil free lotion spf 15 with DermaNaturals from the Neutrogena acne kit.4) I then apply OC Eight to my (not nearly as oily as it used to be) t-zone.Evening Routine:1) Quickly and gently I wash with the skin polishing cleanser from the Neutrogena acne kit to wash off the sunscreen and OC Eight I put on in the morning.2) Wash with neutrogena oil free acne wash for 2-3 minutes like I do in the morning, rinse and pat dry.3) Wait 5 minutes and then I apply the acne control lotion (has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide) from the Neutrogena acne kit. I DO NOT ice my face first like it says to in the book. The reason why I use Neutrogena oil free acne wash and Alpha Hydrox 10% glycolic acid is because I read somewhere that to get proper exfoliation the product needs to have a pH of 3 to 4.5 and those two products are in the right pH range. I have to say that I have never had skin this clear since I was probably about 12 years old! As an adult I have always battled insanely oily skin, facial redness, cystic chin acne and blackheads that I could never completely get rid of. Not only have these products and this skin care routine cleared all of my acne, but my skin is very even toned, younger looking and a lot less oily!

Title: This acne treatment really works!
Review: My teenage son developed such bad acne this past summer that he rarely left the house. We went to dermatologists, tried their prescribed antibiotics and ointments, gave each the ridiculously lengthy time needed to see results, and nothing worked well. My frustration level and desperation were climbing; it seemed that no one could help, and my son was sinking into a depression. Then I found this book. Within a week we saw major results and became hopeful; it has now been 4 weeks and only a few pimples pop up every now and then. The book opens with a quote saying "Acne can be completely eliminated in 95 percent of all cases - even the most severe ones - in 6 weeks or less." I feel very fortunate to say that my son seems to be among this 95 percent. A protocol is explained that is to be followed every morning and night. No specific products are recommended, just the amounts of active ingredients needed in each of three solutions. The morning routine involves 2 products and is not difficult to follow; the evening routine involves one additional product and is more challenging because the face must be first iced then kept cold with ice packs while the product is absorbed. This takes discipline and some tolerance for discomfort, but, is well worth the trouble. If you are plagued by impossible acne, please buy this book. The delivery system of three products, and explanations provided for why they work the way they do, will amaze you as your acne becomes a thing of the past. The treatment described in this book puts dermatologists to shame!Products we used:1. Zapzyt Pore Treatment Gel (2% salicylic acid) - $5.292. Zapzyt Max. Strength Acne Treatment Gel (10% benzoyl peroxide)- $5.29 (both found online at drugstore.com)3. Peter Thomas Roth glycolic acid 10% hydrating gel -around $40.00 (purchased online at sephora.com)

Title: Some good advice
Review: There is good advice here for small treatment areas and diet concerns but the full cure with ice daily is not very practical for large treament. There is help here but no cure I can see.

Title: Doesn't really work
Review: Theoretically it could work for a lot of people, but not for me. Years later I accidentally discovered that my acne was caused my internal growth. Used oil of oregano to treat a case of food poisoning, and it killed whatever was in my gut that was causing acne. Had clear skin 1-2 weeks later. Clear face since.

Review: Great book gives you in depth information on your skin levels before giving you comprehensive details for each skin type.I have been using the method for a few weeks and many people have commented on my skin. I am a make up artist so it really helped in my job.I feel so much better and confident the only downside is sourcing products in the UK however managed to get them at not much cost either I have not been able to do the procedure every day and night as it dried out my skin so left it out a night and carried on.I would suggest that if you have skin problems to give this a go for the recommended 6 weeks I found it to be the best remedy I have tried a bit time consuming at first but you soon make it a routine. Thank you very much Dr Debrow for this knowledge it's helped me no end.

Review: Having suffered from adult acne for the last 14 years and tried every product from both over the counter and the GP I have been suprised to find that this book has something new to offer. It is informative with clear explanations and has helped me understand my skin. I would recommend it and wish I'd purchased it years ago as so far the treatment plan it recommends is reducing my acne (it says it takes 6 weeks to fully work). Some of the products it recommends were not easy to find but managed to get everything from amazon.jan marini bioglycolic facial cleanser 236mlGood luck

Review: This book contains instructions for how to (attempt to) treat the SYMPTOMS of acne. It doesn't even begin to get into the real CAUSE of acne, let alone discuss even the beginnings of a cure for it.It purveys the idea that acne should be treated at the skin level, but doesn't even discuss why you have it, or give any methods for treating the underlying causes. Treating acne at the skin level is like trying to rid yourself of brain cancer by taking paracetamol to relieve the headaches. It might reduces the symptoms slightly, but it totally misses the root cause. You know when you can feel a spot brewing under your skin and you know that in a few days it will be a massive zit. Well that alone should tell you that treating it on the surface is a silly idea. The topical treatments which the book suggests do have some affect though. Those treatments are:* Using benzoyl peroxide cream (there's one called Quinoderm in the UK).* Using a glycolic acid face wash (the Jan Marini one is quite good).* Putting ice on your face (I'm slightly skeptical of this). That's it.But if you really want to treat your acne you need to look at the root causes. I haven't found a total cure, but from my (quite extensive) research online it seems that some things pretty much cure some people, or have a very positive effect. I'm male, 29, and have got my acne very much under control. Here's what I did:* Cleaned up my diet. No sugar. Largely organic. Good fats (omega 3). (Google "paleo diet".)* Did the liver flush (see curezone.com), this is weird but had an AMAZING effect on my skin. And here's what I still do:* I take pantothenic acid (vitamin b5), about 3-7g per day (yes, grams, not mg), so 6-14 x 500mg capsules per day.* My acne is made much worse by ejaculation, so I'm trying to learn male multiple orgasm. If you're interested in the underlying causes and biology of it then try also Googling/Wikipedia-ing:* L-cysteine (some people cite this as making the pantothenic acid more effective).* CoenzymeA (is used to oxidise/metabolise fats in the skin, generated from pantothenic acid and l-cysteine).* Testosterone (how it affects oil production).Get Googling! Read a lot. Try things and see what works. Your journey has just begun...
