Title: The Boss's Daughter, Wow! not for the faint if heart.
Review: I was taking an acting class in college and we needed to do a monologue for one of our projects so I bought this book on the professor's recommendation. When the day came to tell the teacher which monologue I was doing I just flipped through the pages and chose one at random and it was "The Boss's Daughter ".It was a performance to remember and it blew everyone away. It was rather crude and it had the women in class squirming but in the end everyone agreed that as a monologue it was awesome. While the monologue was too crude and too long for an actual audition it does make for good practice.

Title: HELL YES!
Review: Being an aspiring actor, I get excited when I find a good book with relevant monologues. This book is just that book. It has such good monologues that I use in real life auditions that really lands me jobs!

Title: Ready for your audition?
Review: This was selected to provide some rehearsal dialogue for a film clip for acting jobs. Useful because it gives a brief synopsis about the characters age, gender and attitude.

Title: Missing pages
Review: Unfortunately, someone had torn out two monologues from this book. Had I known this, I wouldn't have purchased this item. Fortunately, after some research, I found that I would not have been able to use the missing monologues anyways.

Title: Completely worthless
Review: I agree with a previous reviewer that this book contains monologues that seem to lack objective. Most of the monologues in this book seem to have been arbitrarily taken from play excepts with no sense of purpose, range of emotion, dramatic essence and for some, no logical ending point. I purchased this book a while back and fed into the hype of the description. I loved the fact that it had the monologues broken down by age, ethnicity, and genre. However, i started an acting workshop this month and just "knew" that i could find at least one good age and content appropriate monologue in this book. I was completely wrong. After reading most of the monologues in the book, especially those described as being for males anywhere from 20's-30's. WORTHLESS. Most of them were very short with little sense of meaning or "heart" to any of them. I do not recommend this book for serious actors.Especially African Americans. Don't get me wrong there are a few decent monologues in here, but try your money elsewhere.
