Can you really feel years younger & make unexplained symptoms vanish with the click of a button — the “Airplane Mode” on your cell phone?Advocate for safe technologies Nicolas Pineault used to think this all sounded like something only crazy people wearing tinfoil hats would say.But the overwhelming amount of independent scientific evidence linking electromagnetic fields (EMFs) from wireless technologies with increased risks of cancer, infertility, insomnia, and depression sure has the uncanny ability to change a man’s mind. The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs is a simple and unconventional book that will teach you exactly how to reduce your exposure to this brand new 21st-century pollution without going back to the Stone Age.You will learn:What your smartphone, your wifi router and your microwave oven have in common (page 9)Why policy makers and scientists all worldwide don’t agree about whether EMFs are dangerous or not (page 21)Is Electro-Hypersensitivity as popularized in the TV show “Better Call Saul” real? Or is it all psychological? (page 62)Why carrying a cell phone in your pocket can harm your fertility (201 studies prove it) (page 72)The 1-click fix to reduce cellphone EMFs by 84% (page 142)What is safer? Speakerphone, earbuds or a Bluetooth ear piece? (page 155)The #1 worst source of EMF radiation at home (page 160)Why baby monitors are worse than smartphones, and better alternatives (page 208)More and more scientific evidence shows that cellphone radiation might be the new smoking. So why take chances?Instead, read The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs — the technological seat belt you might just need to use your new gadgets safely.

Title: Great book - the prominent negative review misses the point of the book
Review: UPDATE: October 5 - a few months after buying the EMF meter author recommends. What he says in the book is spot on and lines up with what the meter says. His interventions work. I followed his advice, and tested before/after and saw radiation levels drop from deep in the red danger zone to well within the green safe zone. I don’t know what motivates people to say things like I read in the top two reviews, but keep in mind that there are a lot of people very vested in maintaining the status quo by discrediting those attempting to take a stand and educate others. Think about all the businesses that stand to lose money should eMF dangers be more clear and well known. I was in medicine, and it’s a similar dynamic at play there - so much resistance against the tide of new information that threatens the old paradigms. The book is perfect - accessible to the layperson, provides easy and cheap solutions, and importantly, provides advice on how to prove it to yourself (just get a meter if you want to test his claims).I bought this book when I realized that I was becoming very agitated/tense/angry during iPhone use. I was curious as to whether there was something about the technology itself that might be causing the agitation. I went down the rabbit hole, and landed on this book (at the recommendation of a doctor in a FB group of integrative physicians). This book was such an eye opener for me. I changed so many of my habits immediately as a result of this book. I turned off my wifi and switched entirely to ethernet connections in the entire house. I turn off the circuit breakers to my bedroom at night. I put timers on my outlets, and stopped using my laptop while it is charging. And most significantly - I got rid of my iPhone altogether and switched to a "dumb" phone that does two things: calls and texts. No apps, no internet browsing, no games. None of that mindless crap that was making me agitated and tense. My anxiety is almost gone, my sleep has improved tremendously, and I have better dream recall as a result of turning off the breakers at night. I've tested this several times, thinking its a coincidence - breakers on, no dream recall. Breakers off, dream recall. It's crazy to me. And - unrelated to emfs -- without that iphone demanding my attention all the time, I am so much more engaged in actual life. My dogs are even visibly less agitated. My rat terrier is less aggressive and territorial after a night spent in the room with the breakers off. I've tested this a bunch of times, too, thinking I was imagining the change or attributing it to the breaker thing when it had nothing to do with that. But it's consistent and I'm a believer now.I just ordered the EMF meter the author recommends to see where else I need to intervene to limit my emf exposure.Ignore the bad reviews - specifically the one by the engineer. The electrical engineer whose review is so disparaging is an example of the way people flash fancy degrees to try to make it appear as though scientists/engineers have some sort of exclusive claim on knowledge and some special ability to interpret it. He attempts to discredit the author in his review by pointing out that RF/EM/DE etc are all subsets of the same thing, when the author distinguishes between them. Well....there is a very good reason the author distinguishes between the types of EMF, and the fact that the reviewer doesn't realize that makes me wonder whether he actually read the book. It's not like anyone with a scientific background or a high standard for evidence would agree with his criticism. I also am an MD, since we are throwing degrees around, and again, this book came recomended by a group of physicians. The author admits upfront that he is a guy with no formal education related to the content of the book, and many times as he writes, he acknowledges that some of the claims made in his book and elsewhere both seem "woo-woo" and do not yet have sufficient evidence to make confident assertions. When that is the case, he refrains from recommending action. For example, he won't endorse any brands of radiation blocking equiptment because the science just isn't there for a lot of it. But where there is sufficient evidence, he presents it and follows with strategies for minimizing your exposure to it. This book doesn't set out to be an academic text regurgitating established research and endless citations. That EMFs are dangerous is a novel idea to most scientists and laypeople alike. The research that does exist - and there's enough of it to be very convincing - is made accessible to the layperson in this book. The author encourages the reader to take control of the process and test things for him/herself - get an EMF meter! Measure the radiation in your environment yourself! See what effect your interventions have on those levels - and assess how you feel.I will agree that the citations are inadequate in some places - not even close to being specific enough to be acceptable - but the points the author makes are redundant enough, and the citations sufficient in the majority of the book, so it really doen't matter at all.The author of this book is a humble person who admits his limitations upfront, and then proceeds to blow your mind with what he has uncovered about the dangers of EMFs and to enlighten the reader as to easy, budget friendly ways to protect yourself. Excellent book; life changing for me.

Title: Practical Guide to EMFs, Easy To Implement, Logical, Well Organized, Unbiased!
Review: This is my first EMF book. Someone recommended it to me, and I am happy they have.Main points -- this is a practical guide to dealing with EMFs at home - it gives an unbiased background in a logical manner and it points to the practical tools, the whys, and the hows. If you get this book and an EMF meter, you will be be good to go to do the first sweep of your home. You will be able to identify greatest offenders and do something about them.If you want more rigor and detail, the book points you to where to find that and what that more is/could be for most or all common daily practical cases. If that still is not enough for you - the book gives tons of references that you can tackle and go deeper with each of them.Suggestion for the author:One thing I wish this book had is a take out poster with all of the EMF values to help us read the EMF meters. Values based on European (most strict) and our USA guidelines. Perhaps a suggestion - to post a pdf on your website and offer it to people who subscribe. (Maybe this exist already... I will edit this review if I find it. About to go search for it.)Thank you for putting the work needed to write this valuable book!

Title: Crucial Info with easy to understand, fun presentation
Review: WOW! I LOVE THIS BOOK!! I got very very sick after living under a cell tower for a few months. I already had health issues, but that exposure was a tippping point in my toxicity and I became very sensitive to EMF. I have done quite a bit of research, so I thought this book was perhaps a bit too basic for my understanding. But I was at a friends and started reading this and found it soooo easy to read, funny, insightful, and just all around AWESOME! I came home and ordered my own copy immediately! It has a wealth of info, and while he doesn't shy away from the slightly more advanced aspects and ideas around EMF, it's all very fun to read and digestible. I laughed out loud more than once!THIS BOOK SHOULD BE REQUIRED READING IN SCHOOLS!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the author for this marvelous book!

Title: Excellent Summary of the Topic
Review: Overall, I thought this was an excellent, well written summary of the science around electrical devices and how they might impact the human body. The science and the issues were explained in a way that anyone can understand -- no advanced degree necessary. The book is also incredibly well referenced, which may be the best part -- if I can ever get to review all the web sites and scientific papers in the end-notes. Very thought-provoking info! I would recommend this book highly.

Review: While reading The Non-Tinfoil Guide to EMFs, the quote from Saint- Exupery’s novella, The Little Prince, kept running through my mind: “What is essential is invisible to the eye!"Although used in a very different context, this little nugget of wisdom could also be referring to the relationship of one’s essential health to the myriad of invisible electromagnetic fields that surround us every day. Nicolas Pineault, in a very understandable, readable manner, presents the science and research that reveals the dangers of being exposed to these various electromagnetic fields. Then he tells us what we can do about it.This book not only belongs on top of your “Must Read” list but also on top of your “To Do” list as it is filled with many easy to implement strategies to protect you from these invisible invaders. The author will introduce you to new ways of safely interacting with your devices like keeping your cell phone in airplane mode and shutting off your WIFI at night. You might even find yourself convinced enough to run out (like I did!) to buy an EMF meter to measure these scary frequencies.I highly recommend you pick-up a copy of this book. I would then recommend you do your friends and family a favor and put it on top of your “Christmas List” for them, too. You’ll all be forever grateful!

Title:
Review: I enjoyed Nicolas's conversational writing style and the way in which he anticipates the reader's concerns as he guides us through this rather heavy and complex topic in a light-hearted way. His practical tips are set out in three different levels, giving readers both the awareness and choice about the type and level of EMF protection that will work for them. I also appreciate Nicolas's choice of "Non-Tinfoil..." in the book title. "Tinfoil hatter" is a rather pernicious meme that has had the effect of discrediting, ridiculing and otherwise shaming those who speak up on this topic and all of the estimated 300,000,000 people who feel the effects of EMFs. The purpose of such a meme is simple: to silence dialogue and discussion on the topic. Nicolas's book title takes on the "tinfoil hat" meme with authentic panache, grounded in well documented facts on the scientific data exposing the deleterious health effects of EMF's and what we can do about it. Way to go Nicolas!

Review: Thank you Nicholaus for taking the time and effort to write this book. It's what I've been looking for: a book that explains EMFs in a clear and not too technical way and that connects all the different dots. Plus it gives a lot of references to studies and other (probably more difficult) books, which I'm confident I'll understand better now than before reading your guide. So a big thanks to you! I can recommend your book to anyone who is interested in being informed about EMFs and I'll probably buy a few more copies to give away.

Review: EMF's pose a risk to everyone, yet most people know nothing about it. This book gives a good A-Z of the subject, the authors work is well balanced, research backed, not too heavy but detailed where it counts and written in a humorous style which is just what this subject needs. Perhaps a note on nutritional support, for example iodine rich foods (e.g. kelp) and magnesium would be a helpful addition. However, still a great book. This is also the best book to buy for someone who needs to know all the key facts but can't commit to reading volumes on the subject. If you only buy one book on the subject then this is a very good choice.
