Title: Sharp Planes really fly! Great book- BUY it!!
Review: Gorgeous colorful planes to cut/tear out carefully , then fold- Challenging for an 8 year old, so Dad helps a lot. Scotch tape keeps plane together for longer use. 2-4 planes for each design to race them onto provided landing strip! Log to record the flights and actions- very useful for future engineers!!

Title: Family favorite over the years
Review: This book has provided great gifts over many years. It's entertaining, a little educational (or more, for those seriously interested in aeronautics), and provides hours of fun.I bought this copy for my son-in-law. I think he will enjoy it on his own, but will enjoy it even more sharing it with his young son.

Title: Amazing Paper Airplanes
Review: My 6 year old considers himself a paper airplane making expert so he was very excited to get this book.Pros:1. Exciting, colorful paper airplanes (if you can manage to make them).2. Directions are clear and easy enough for my 6 year old to follow.Cons:1. Some of the perforated edges cut into the design destroying the plane before you even try to remove the paper from the book.2. It's nearly impossible to remove the pages from the book without ripping (and thus destroying) the paper airplane before you even start. Part of this is due to Con #1 (stated above) and part of it is due to the poor function of the perforated edges.3. In some of the designs, the lines on the front of the design do not match the lines on the back of the design. So, there is some guesswork required in figuring out where to fold and cut.Of note:1. There are 20 different designs for you to make with a few copies of each design. This comes in handy when you rip a tiny piece of the page while carefully trying to remove it from the book. (See Con #2).2. The Cons are not deal breakers. I still recommend this book. Just be prepared to be very frustrated.

Title: Great new paper planes!
Review: My third grader had a market day where the kids get to come up with a business, name it and make the products to sell. He and his partner chose to do paper airplanes and this book was a total hit for the two of them. They didn't make much money but I think they had more fun learning the cool new airplanes to make. The patterned paper that is in the book is really cool, wish it was easier to tear out for kids, it seemed to tear easy but I think it's because they weren't doing just right. My favorite one that I didn't think would really fly was the cylinder. It totally flies and so easy to make along with the helicopter thing. It's a lot of fun and totally recommend even for just having for rainy days or the kid who loves making paper airplanes!

Review: Excellent quality. It's a glossy magazine weight. It's a great project to do together. Some planes, we made out of paper when we were kids. It gives directions on how to make these into sharpshooters. On some planes, it's tricky to find how "a" and "d" fold to make a pocket. There are directions for what to do to correct the flight. If it dives, turns, goes up, crashes, it shows how to adjust it to make it fly straight. There are several copies of the same plane so you can race with friends. There's even a landing strip.
