Title: A must have power supply for ham radio
Review: Got this to power my two 50watts mobile units I'm using as a base station. Got tired of using the lipo battery to power this unit up.The size is perfect for what I need it for. 30amps is plenty to power the two 50 watts mobile units which one be transmitting at the same time.I believe this power supply is the same one MFJ sells for about 40 to 50 dollars more. The unit comes with two Anderson poles up front and a binding post on the back which is perfect to keep most 12 volt accessories going. For the money, I think this is a best bang for the buck and definitely most value for the money. At full 50 watts (44 watts on 70cm) you can tell the fan is on but it's not noisy. The power supply appears to be well made and it powers right up with no RF to both my radios. Will definitely buy another unit to power my other radios as I'm impressed with the performance for this little power supply.

Title: A Quality Power Supply and a Great Value
Review: The SS-30P is packaged in a glossy printed box. The PS is encased in a plastic bag and supported at each end by dense foam end plates for protection. The power cord is in its own plastic bag. The front panel is machined aluminum and the switch and connectors all fit perfectly. The fit and finish of the cabinet is first rate. The rear binding posts are robust and of very good quality. Upon power on there is an audible fan surge of about 2 seconds, and then silence. No load out of the box, the output measured 13.81 volts. It is powering my Icom IC-7300 and an MFJ-929 automatic antenna tuner. In receive mode, which draws a bit over 1 amp, the PS output measures 13.73 volts. In transmit mode, full key down CW at 100 watts output, the current draw is about 21 amps and the PS output measures 13.60 volts. I am a 100% CW operator, and the PS is extremely quiet. The fan has never run at a speed higher than a bare minimum, and it is essentially silent. It is quieter than my old Astron 35 amp linear power supply, which likes to hum constantly, even under no load, and is ten times the size and weight. The PS-30P is barely warm to the touch after operating sessions. I have about 60 hours of "burn in" time on the PS-30P. I have detected no switching noise or birdies on any of the amateur bands, 160 meters through 6 meters. It appears to be well filtered. I think this power supply would be hard to beat at this price point. Everything about it, including its packaging, exudes quality.

Title: Surprising quality and small size
Review: This is probably one of the smallest 30 amp regulated supplies I have ever seen. That doesn't mean it isn't high quality. This thing is built like a tank and a peak inside shows very high quality parts that are laid out well. My first reaction was I can't believe this is made in China. Quality control was up there. Even the cabinet is made from thick steel. When you pick it up, it has some weight to it because of all of this. Most switching supplies feel fragile and light, not this thing.

Title: Ehh, OK Power Supply I guess
Review: Seems to be stable, put out what its rated at, clean/no noise on UHF/VHF or HF.My only issue is the Anderson Power Pole connecters seem shoddy... I bought actual A.P.P. connecters and terminated my jumpers from the supply to my radios. Everything I plug in, custom made, or store bought, seems loose and like it loses connection. I can plug the same jumpers into my two other power supplies or battery pack, and they stay with no issues. We live in a rural area with zero drop off spots for Fedex or UPS and USPS is less than useless, so I didn't want to hassle with a return or shipping cost so I just sat on it. I'll use it only as a backup IF needed. Would not buy again.

Title: Small and compact
Review: As u can see, it's actually smaller than my gmrs radio. So far no rf interference for 11 meter.

Title: SS-30P, Quite on HF so far
Review: I've been running two VHF/UHF radios on this power supply, with my HF rig sitting within two feet. So far, I haven't experienced any unwanted noise with the exception of the fan spinning up and down on power up. I have had it hooked up to my HF rig recently just to double check for noise and I still haven't had any noise coming from the power supply. I haven't had a long QSO with the HF rig to heat up the power supply, but I have talked on one of my VHF radios that outputs 80 watts for an extended period of time and I didn't notice the power supply getting more than slightly warm (the radio got very warm! All heat sink, no fan.). So far, I have been impressed enough with this power supply that I have ordered another one to run my HF rig.If I start having any issues with the power supply, I will add an update.Oh, yes... read the fine print, this is a 25 amp continuous power supply, 30 amp max. I have noticed a small voltage drop in mine when transmitting at 80 watts FM. The voltage drop was very minimal (0.1 volt) at the connection point when measured with a volt meter. The actual voltage reading was 13.80 volt no load, and 13.69 volt with a load from the 80 watt FM key up. That is about a 14 amp power draw.Having the power pole connectors was a great bonus, they allowed me to have both 2m/70cm radios hooked up and scanning while still having the rear connector available for other uses as needed.Good luck on your power supply quest, mine has ended here and with satisfaction! 73s...I've been so impress with the first one I bought, that I bought a second one as a spare/backup.I have it inline "cooking in" as they say.The voltage output is spot on at 13.8 volts according to my VOM and running two VHF radios. Now if I can just find an excuse to purchase a third one... 73s...

Title: No RFI
Review: Used it to power an Apache G2 SDR radio, hoping it would not generate spurious radio signals that many switching power supplies do. Tested on 14 MHz, a complete test over the whole shortwave spectrum, but there was no detectable RFI.
