Title: Great size and Sturdy bags.
Review: These bags are a great way to help the environment. They arrived promptly and with washing instructions included. They hold just the right amount and stand upright when full, or fold for storage. Definitely recommend them!

Title: Great and eco friendly
Review: These bags are very sturdy and are great for replacing shopping bags. They have bands (open end) around the inside to place bottles and things to keep them from shifting. They hold a lot so three of them work quite nicely for me when I go to buy groceries. They fold up easily and, while I have yet to need to launder them, they seem like they will wash nicely and maybe soften up as they age. The biggest battle is remembering to put them back in the car after I bring in the groceries so that I have them the next trip. I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering buying re-usable shopping bags to cut down on plastic, well worth the money.

Title: Beats plastic!
Review: I am old enough to remember paper bags. Nothing, so far, beats paper. These bags are close. I have not used inserts in them. I probably should. We made a second purchase to have more. We have machine washed them multiple times.Keep some in the pickup for that unexpected grocery stop.

Title: Good reusable bags
Review: Sacramento has a new ordinance requiring reusable bags at stores. While I was just reusing plastic bags for a while I decided a more rugged, longer term solution was better. The Simple Ecology bags are well made and include side pockets for bottles. They are a bit larger than paper grocery bags and I tend to pack them pretty full without a problem.A couple minor nits...An inexperienced bagger put the eggs on the bottom and several broke. I threw the bag in the washer and it wrinkled/distorted so much it has become my bag of last resort. Perhaps air drying rather than running it in the dryer would minimize that. Also the bag straps are pretty long - I'm 6' and the bags hang pretty close to the ground.

Title: Great!
Review: This is my 2nd purchase. They wash up well, have interior pockets to keep glass from clanking together. They hold a lot and are very sturdy. They fold up a little bulky especially after being washed although that really is a minor thing. Now if I could just always remember to take them into the store every time.

Title: High Quality Cotton Bag
Review: I bought my first set of these bags in 2018 and I am returning to order more. I have been using them for all my grocery runs for 5 years and they have held up great! They are also great for out of town trips to use as food bags or those last minute items that won't fit in your suitcase. They make good beach bags. I can pack them full of heavy things and not worry about anything falling through. They have not worn holes in them. I love that you can throw them in the washing machine when they get dirty. I am ordering some green and black ones this time, instead of the natural color. After 5 years of use, they have developed some stains.

Title: Best ever!!!!
Review: We had bought several cloth bags from our local grocery store, but they were very poor quality and began ripping in no time at all. So, I began searching for a better quality bag. I found these shortly before Christmas and so I gave a set to my husband (who does all our grocery shopping) to try out. He totally loves them and cannot say enough about how sturdy and how roomy and how convenient these bags are. When I went back to buy another set for him, they were out of stock!!! So, I kept watching and waiting and just recently I noticed they were available once again. I bought my husband a second set and I have bought another set for a dear friend of ours.If you are looking for the best reusable shopping bags, you have found them here!!! They make a great Christmas gift; or, since it's a set of 3 bags, it makes 3 nice smaller gifts. To paraphrase the saying so popular in the early 1970s -- Try them, You'll Like Them!!!!

Title: Nice bags until I washed them
Review: I had the same problem as the other reviewer who rated this product 3 stars. I was super-excited and loved these bags when I first got them about a month ago. I've used them over and over again, no problems. They were perfect - roomy, taller than other cheap canvas totes I've had, comfortably long handles, and the bottle sleeves were a nice extra because they would lay flat against the inside of the bag when not in use, completely out of the way. However, I washed all three today because something had spilled in one of the bags, and all three shrunk and crinkled horribly. If you've ever tried washing the free canvas totes from animal rights/environmental charities, you'll know what I'm talking about. Knowing that the cotton would inevitably shrink some (SOME), I carefully washed them in my front-loading washer, cold hand-wash cycle, and hung them to air dry. They are now MUCH shorter, and the bottle sleeves, oddly enough, didn't shrink as much as the outer part of the bag, so they are now larger in comparison and droop awkwardly. They seem like they'll get in the way and be more of a nuisance than before, so I might cut them out entirely. I spent some time this morning ironing the bags, stretching them, and then hanging them with heavy objects to stretch the fabric. Seriously, I rarely iron my clothes, but I'm sitting here ironing reusable grocery totes?? Unreal. I've bought other items from this company that I love (muslin produce bags and cotton mesh produce bags), and they wash beautifully. I'll admit, I once put the produce bags in the dryer on ultra-low heat because I was in a time-crunch, and they came out perfect - negligible shrinkage if any at all, so I expected these to be of the same quality. I've bought other large, heavy-duty cotton canvas totes from Earthfare that withstood wash after wash, no problems at all, and I only wish I could find more of those exact totes now that Earthfare no longer carries the ones I bought several years ago (and although they were probably twice the price of these bags here on amazon but definitely worth the higher price for how enormous those bags were - and still are after many washings over the years).
Customers say
Customers like the sturdiness, size, and quality of the tote bags. They mention that they're very durable, roomy, and well-made. Some are satisfied with the ease of carrying and interior pockets. However, some customers have reported that the bags shrink up a bit when washed.
