Title: A sight for the sore soul
Review: Inspirational yet grounded, Aileenâs masterpiece is a great reference for anyone looking to improve their visual and holistic health. Her matter-of-fact and practical advice is great for readers in any stage of their visual journey. As I grabbed my reading glasses to read her book I couldnât help but chuckle at the fact that our vision is something we take for granted and use at all times during our waking hours. The research that Eileen has gathered over the years is summed up succinctly in her book in a manner that is both understandable and applicable. Her holistic approach is a gem to all those seeking to improve their overall health. We truly are a product of our thoughts and now I am convinced that the health of our vision is no exception. I am grateful to have come across this valuable information and encourage anybody looking to improve their visual health to enjoy Aileenâs beautiful journey. She has made quite an impressive contribution here and I look forward to seeing what else she has on her radar for us.

Title: Quick read. Easy to read. Practical tips.
Review: This book was very easy to read through. It was a rather quick read which I liked so I could start implementing the tips/habits right away. If you have a free day, you could probably read it within the day.A lot of the habits I do already, but it was nice reading how it can contribute to eye health too.I did learn some new things too (eye exercises) , so I'm excited to try the exercises out!

Title: Myopia may be reversible!
Review: Very interesting and quick read! Having suffered from myopia most of my life, I assumed it was an inherited trait that I would likely pass on to my children (which has since come to pass). But it makes sense that the modern, mostly-sedentary lifestyle, round the clock screen time, and bad health habits can and have contributed to the decline of vision and overall eye health. The author seems to have done her research and her common-sense recommendations for improving your vision seem easy to implement overtime. I truly enjoyed her family anecdotes and the wonderful quotes provided in each chapter. I look forward to finishing the book and helping my children add her suggestions to their daily routine. Fingers crossed!

Title: This book makes so much sense!
Review: !From start to finish, this is an authoritative and gripping book. It is backed up by scientific research, the authorâs own investigations, and years of practical experience during which she honed her findings even further. However, this is more than that. Itâs straightforward with clear, logical explanations, and even I was able to follow everything. There are some great full-colour diagrams that I found very helpful, and itâs full of practical activities and attitude checks to get started with immediately. Bonus: the author writes extremely well, so itâs a pleasure to read. This is not one of those thrown-together-self-help-books that gives you indigestion as you go through it. I can see this method will work if you are prepared to try it. Itâs like, duh, why didnât I think of investigating this topic? Well, now I donât have to ð

Title: I definitely recommend this book
Review: Thanks Aileen for years of thorough research and practices that culminated with this amazing book! She explains various useful techniques that greatly improve visual health in an engaging way. I truly encourage those who are looking to improve their visual health to read the book and follow the steps. In fact, I believe after you add her suggestions to your daily routine, you may find that not only your visual health but also your overall health will improve. The only thing I have a slight concern with is âSet an alarm for every 20 minutes so you can look at the distance and relax your eyesâ from Habits #7; daily use of this may affect childrenâs ability to concentrate in the future. Of course, this is just my little thought, but if you are also worried about this you could just eliminate this one when your children are extremely focused on something. I definitely recommend this book! Well done, Aileen!

Title: Alternative perspective for eye care
Review: Habits for better vision delivers an alternative perspective for the well care of our eyesight. This book is an excellent resource to parents, students, educators, and doctors. In reviewing this book, the principal criteria included content, organization, and reference sources. The authorâs investigations and conclusions are results of her own experiences with her child, which as a mother, it gives me a sense of trust and security. No one can deny that this book shows a good example of what you can achieve when you put your mind to something! Itâs a great, easy book to read with lots of important and relevant information!

Title: Consider not getting a stronger prescription for myopia each year
Review: I have been following some of these same principals in this book for over ten years so I can say that they work. I am 56 years old and after getting lasik surgery 12 years ago, my eyes immediately started to get worse again. Before the surgery I was at -7.75. About two years after the surgery I refused to get a stronger prescription that year and every year after, although the optometrist suggested a stronger prescription after every single visit. And happily my prescription has stayed the same, at -1.75. Although my experience is not conclusive, my eyes do get strained and it's harder to see as well the rare times I read fine print for a period of time. I then have to do the exercises to get my eyesight back to what it was. I almost always use the Kindle to read my books using a larger font. Now I plan to work harder to reverse my myopia based on the suggestions in this book. This book includes both science as well as action steps for readers. I think it is well written and I hope people will try the exercises and follow the suggestions. Especially younger readers so they can prevent myopia.

Review: -~6 years ago, I started to sit outside, take my glasses off and look at the trees, the birds, the sky - kept roving - for ~20 minutes. I also started taking lutein and making other changes that Fan actually lists in her "Action Steps", such as going low carb.-A couple of weeks ago I had my appt. with the ophthalmologist. I went from -14.25 to -12.00. I no longer need reading glasses. My reading glasses became my driving glasses and I'm waiting for my new, improved prescription for both reading and computing with a blue light inserted (among other options). All this to say: It works, give it a try.-The introduction is worth reading. There's a lot of background information in there.-Every chapter has its own "Action Steps". Pick and choose and whatever you do will be worth it.-It was interesting to see the list of vitamins and minerals but under the eyes' health POV.-Keep in mind that not everything applies to everyone: 1."probable causes of myopia are fear of the future and not trusting whatâs ahead." I started wearing glasses when I was 5 y.o. Any 5 y.o. is trusting; they don't even think about the future. 2. "this means the more sleep, the lesser degree of myopia." I sleep 10-12 hours per night and I'm presently at -12.00. 3. "Take off the glasses when you are ..." LOL. I don't even recognize my husband. When I get better I'm going to try washing pots and pans or something similar.-My only negative point would be the repeats. Many of the info is carried over to the next chapter or the one after that, like the food and vitamins.-I had to laugh every time I read about "The studies ... included animal studies on monkeys and chicks". So, how do you go about checking their eyesight?

Review: âHaving to wear glasses since I was 12 years old and every year the degree seems to be increasing, I wished that this book was around then. Having to wear glasses at such a young age makes me feel that I was ugly. The exercises that Aileen wrote are simple enough exercises that all people of all ages can do. Having so many friends that have children as young as 5 years old wearing glasses, the exercises in this book will definitely help them. This book is a labor of love as Aileen share how you can help your child have good habits that will result in better vision.â
