Title: Bats Beware!
Review: These things are great! About a year ago, my buddy next door got one because bats were sleeping (and pooping) under his carport roof. It worked so well, some of them moved over to our place to get away. Now we like bats and appreciate the work they do so we don't want to hurt them or scare them away entirely, just keep them out of our areas. Long story short, we bought one about a year ago from a local hardware chain and paid full price( when will I learn-check Amazon FIRST!). Anyway it worked so well it moved the bats into my shop, right over my work area-not good either. So I got this one and that solved the problem. The bats are still in the area eatin' bugs, but not where they shouldn't be. Very happy with it! By the way for what it's worth, both of ours are located quite near our bedroom window yet we don't even hear them.

Title: it doesn't work!
Review: We had mice and I bought this rodent repellent device. On the very first night, the mice calmly ran past this working device and went about their business without paying any attention to me or the device.

Title: It works
Review: Must have an open area or you'll need to get several for different rooms. We have a 3 room open area extended off the kitchen so this was made to suit us just fine. Although the noise is not what I expected, it is not bothersome, especially considering what it controls. We got it to control roaches & spiders in our new home, which stood vacant for a few months. We were amazed at the bugs running away from the frequency! Still see a roach every now & then, but it is as if they are paralyzed. Worth a try!

Title: Very impressed and no pick up trucks either!
Review: Ok I bought this unit inspite of some critical reviews. Here's my story and I'm sticking to it it. It works. I can tell of two different positives from setting it up. We have a "mud room" the back door opens into it and it's a laundry room and pantry. Then there is a second door into the kitchen. I installed a doggie door some years back for my babies to come and go as they needed. Directly across from the doggie door is a set of metal shelves, that's where I set it up. I've always had spiders living in the corners of this room and would vacuum them with the wand at least twice a month, they always came back. Well a month after cleaning the webs and turning on the machine, no spiders have moved in. But the next part is cool. We live in the mountains, and have critters wandering around out back. Several times we've had possums and raccoons come in to snatch some dog food. I was in the kitchen and knew where all three of my pups were, on the sofa snoring. I caught something out of the corner of my eye. A raccoon stuck it's head part way in the door., He must have heard the machine. Because he backed up fast. I heard it happen again another night. The dogs were a little skittish coming in with it aimed at the door, but they are used to it now. My son came home for Thanksgiving and his little dog, who was used to the door before, would not come in as long as the power was on the machine. So in my experience it keep Spiders and Raccoons away, hmmmmm come to think of it, I haven't seen the guys who drive around in pickup trucks with chest freezers in the back, trying to sell meat door to door either. Wow, it works better than I thought!!

Title: Fraud
Review: We have had a tick problem this year and were desperate so we figured we would try this. It was horrible. Not only did it not repel any bugs like it said it would, but they would crawl all over it no matter what setting it was on. Anyone who is actually having success with this is fooling themselves.

Title: Very good pest repeller. Works to repel many different types of pests.
Review: The Bird-X TX-BUG Transonic Bugchaser Electronic Insect Repeller was a good buy for me. Ever since using this repeller, the bugs are pretty much gone. It has a basic look to it. It says it should not affect dogs or cats, but it may bother small pets such as rodents. So, you need to be careful if you have pets to consider. The unit is pretty discreet. It looks like an alarm or something. So, it does not scream pest repeller right away if someone gets a glimpse of it.The range says 1500 square feet. But, you have to make sure there are no solid objects in the way or else the ultrasonic sound will not penetrate. It does not go through walls or objects, so you may need to point it in a direction that gives best coverage or buy more than one.It will only repel one type or setting on the unit at a time. So, if you have different pests to repel like rodents and also bugs, you will need two units. It comes with an included AC adapter. This repeller has settings to repel spiders, fleas, ticks, ants, roaches, flying and crawling insects, mice, bats, and other small pests.I do recommend this pest repeller. It does work from my experience. Just be aware of objects in the way and pointing it in the best direction for coverage of where the pest would come from and not necessarily covering the entire area of that spot like a corner.

Title: NOT for squirrels
Review: Do NOT use this for repelling squirrels, otherwise you will regret BIG TIME after they entered your attic and caused damages like me. One of the problem is you can NOT tell if it is really making ultra sound as there is NOT testing sound, just a red LED as a power indicator.

Title: Not what I expected
Review: It didn't really work t get rid of the ants or spiders. I thought since we have used the plug in insect repellants in the past that this would be a larger version and would work at least as well. It did not and we have had to call and exterminator for the ants and spiders.
