Title: I was skeptical?
Review: I live about 35 miles from Chicago. I've always struggled getting good reception for over the air tv in the three homes we've lived in. Usually channel 2 is the hardest to receive. Upon moving into our new house I got one of those simple tiny Omnidirectional antennas with the magnetic base. I didn't think it would work but I did get most of the channels with exception of 2 and 5. After using it for a while I found it to be hit or miss often losing 7 and not working on 2 and 5. I honestly didn't expect it to work but was surprised it did at all. Fast forward to the other day and I wanted to watch the bears game and sure enough my signal would cut in and out. So a quick search on Amazon convinced me to buy this unit. It does not come assembled, and is kind of a pain but simple enough to setup. After installing in my garage attic which is not even the highest point on my roof I tested it out. Upon scanning for the channels it found around 120 where before I could only find about 30. CBS seems to work fine and so far is not glitchy. So I'd say it works pretty darn good. I used to live in Homer and had a full sized old school antenna on my roof and still had issues with CBS. The fact I now live farther from the city and have this small antenna in my garage attic and can pull in all the channels is pretty impressive. So I give it a thumbs up!

Title: Easy to assemble and mount
Review: We gave up cable and subscriptions and in the process, lost our local Over the Air broadcasts. Bought this to provide those channels.Assembly was easy, the directions clear (although in tiny print), there is a link on the instruction sheet that take you to a video of the assembly, which might clarify any questions that you might have. The Instructions, video and pictures do not show how to route the RG6 antenna cable (cable not provided) from the antenna to the mast. My solution was to bring the cable up to to the antenna, through the gap between the second and third reflector rods and attach it to the antenna, this routing provided the least amount of possible signal interference that I could figure out. This can be mounted in the attic (no ground needed, but may have reduced range) or outside on the provided J-mount and hinge assembly. We are in a fringe area, so mounted on an existing antenna mast, using the provided tie wraps to secure it to the mast.I brought the cable into the aþic by passing it under a roof vent's flashing, then to my "network closet" under the stairs via a cable chase that I had previously installed. We have two TVs, splitting the signal with a digital RG6 splitter sends a strong enough signal to both, that there was no signal interruption during the storm we had the night it was installed. We do have 8 cable drops in the house, I am "future proofing" against additional TVs by installing a powered amplifier/splitter, but that is not needed for two.Definitely resolved our lack of local broadcasts, after a channel scan, we now have 53 (your results will vary by location, direction pointed, etc.). Very happy with this purchase, if we move in the future, I will leave this one here and purchase another for the new home.

Title: A pain to assemble but works well
Review: If you like to build models or are mechanically oriented and just good with your hands, putting this thing together is not hard. But it is a bit of a pain and perhaps a challenge for some people. Lots of tiny screws, and bolts not so great instructions in tiny type. Not advisable for old folks. But I am sure they save a lot of money by just sending you the parts (the box is certainly much more compact than if fully assembled) and letting you put it together. Not really designed for ease of assembly. More like ease of manufacture. Which is why you have to fiddle with things like tiny nuts and bolts that require a socket wrench to tighten. Hope you have one, and in the right size. Very small. That said I found this antenna to be a strong performer once it was put together and hooked up. I have an AirTV setup to get local channels for Sling (my previous el cheapo antenna was destroyed by Hurricane Milton) I used the cabling and mount from my old antenna to save work and time (this comes with its own mount but no cable) and it worked great. Produces a strong signal from stations 50 miles away. A bit better than I was getting before with that little plastic Star Trek looking antenna all the reviewers laugh at. (it actually worked OK too but not built for heavy weather)Relatively inexpensive so a good deal for those up to the challenge of putting it together.

Title: Works Through Brick
Review: I purchased this antenna to install into my newly built home. My home is a new energy star home with a radiant barrier on the wood paneling for my roof, so I was skeptical as to whether this would work, as RF doesn't pass through radiant barriers. Thankfully, my attic eve's are bricked facing the antenna farm, which is about 30 miles away. I hooked this antenna up to a Reliable Cable 8-Port Cable TV Antenna Signal Splitter, Distribution Amplifier with Power Supply (LSA48) and my signal is perfect. There are many power amplifier splitters, and antenna's on the market. This antenna takes about 45 minutes to assemble, but once assembled, its easy to manage and mount. Check your needs and make your own decisions. I don't regret buying this antenna (purchased twice for 2 houses).

Title: Excellent Reception
Review: Second floor apt in a two story building. Window faces toward the signal towers which are generally 20 to 25 miles away. The leaf antenna picked up about 10 channels (including two of the networks). This antenna mounted on the top shelf of the closet (next to the window) picked up 4 times as many (including all four of the major networks). I had moved from about 5 miles away where the leaf antenna worked just fine. If you find the leaf antenna not grabbing enough of the signal, give this one a try. You may need to do some trial and error to find the best placement (ie: where to mount it; then vertical and horizontal adjustments on the antenna itself). It will be worth it if you can find a spot which gives you good reception.

Review: I had originally purchased one to test out this antenna in my region of Vaudreuil-Soulanges. I saw on Antop Signal maps that we have towers in the US that we can get US channels, and also the Montreal towers for the Canadian stations. When I installed in in my attic, and pointed it to the south, I was getting all the channels in Yellow on Antop for my adress, and even a few of the ones in Red. So I tried it with the Montreal stations, and I am able to get all of them, but not when pointed to the US towers. I ended up ordering a second of the same model, to have one pointed in each direction, and combined signals with a gold RCA top of Line 3GHz splitter that I purchaed from Reno Depot. The splitter has made me loose only the channels in red for my address (ABC, and FOX), but I now have a combination of almost all the US channels, and Montreal channels. CTV, GLOBAL, TVA, V, TeleQuebec, Radio Canada (french and english), CBS, NBC, PBS, CW and many more. I cut the cable and can watch everything that I need for free. I would recommend this Antenna to all my friends and family if they are looking to save costs from high monthly cable bills!

Review: I have ordered several different antennas in the last year. Those little stickup ones that are flat and go on your window or wall are absolutely useless unless you live under the local transmission tower. You have to leave it to GE to put together a high-quality product. This is a solid antenna that I installed on my roof (outside) and it discrete enough to not be a monstrosity on my roof. I used the website they suggest to get the exact heading to orient based on maximum tower transmission and used the compass on my phone to orient. Was very easy and picked up the maximum number of channels. I am about 30 km from the tower and I have to go through some trees, unfortunately. Given that, I am very impressed with the pickup and the quality of the image. I do not get the random signal drops. My only complaint is the installation instructions. I used the picture on the box to complement the instructions as they were absolutely terrible. However, it is such a simple build that anyone that has built an Ikea piece of furniture should be able to figure it out. Since the rest is so good, I still gave an overall rating of 5 stars.
