Title: Very Rugged Construction and Easy Assembly
Review: This one is built more solidly than other UHF Yagis I've experienced. I've seen complaints about the assembly instructions, but for me it seemed quite easy (instruction manuals are always a last resort anyhow and I seldom need to refer to them {RTFM}). The description indicate that a J-pole is an option, but was included with mine. I oriented the antenna south for Miami stations from which it received very strong signals, but off the back, it did very well with WPB channels. I made no attempt to optimize direction since reception was so good. This one is built so solidly that I expect a few years of service.

Title: This one works!! And it works well!!
Review: We tried 3 other antennas to get broadcast channels. Fail. Fail. Fail. One was a homemade model. One was a flat, thin panel, and one was a little tubular-like thing. We needed an outdoor mounted one. This is a high-tech version of the ones that were mounted on every home years ago. We are about 43 miles away from the âantenna farmâ. And this antenna works like a charm! Clearest picture - probably better than the cable picture weâve been receiving for years. Not too hard to put together. There are some directions that are a little difficult, there are pictures to follow and there are phone numbers to call for a walk through. YOU can do it! We mounted it on the fascia board facing the antenna farm. Used some online apps & maps to get the angle pretty close. We ran a channel scan and voila! We get 45-60 channels! Most of them are not of great interest, but about 10 are. And theyâre freeeeeee! See-ya cable co.! Nightly local news. Weekend sports. We get exactly what the streaming companies donât offer - unless you want to fork over some serious cash each month! Highly recommend.

Title: Very good high-VHF performance
Review: I needed an antenna that would reel in a single high-VHF station in addition to numerous UHF stations. Luckily, all of the transmitters are co-located, so this single antenna does the trick. I get consistent signal strength readings in the 90s on all channels despite the 30 mile distance over chilly terrain. The antenna was easy to assemble and mount. I'd like a little more UHF gain but otherwise recommend this unit without reservation.

Title: Great Reception-- 69 free OTA channels in the Denver Market
Review: I've installed several over-the-air (OTA) antennas over the yearsâboth in my own homes and for family members. Recently, I moved to a house thatâs nestled deep within a neighborhood, with multiple obstructions between me and the broadcast towers in Denver. Given the challenges of my new location, I wasn't sure how well this antenna would perform, but it absolutely exceeded my expectations.Setup & Installation: I mounted the antenna as high as possible inside the attic, replacing the included coaxial cable (standard RG-6 but not the best quality) with a 50' quad shield RG-6 cable for my initial test run. After running a channel scan on my TV... BOOM! I picked up 69 channels from Denver, all with clear reception.Reception & Aiming: This antenna does require some precise aiming, which is common with most high-gain antennas. However, itâs wide enough to offer a bit of grace if you're not aimed perfectly. If youâre setting one up, donât just eyeball itâuse one of the many online tools that provide the compass heading for your address. Most smartphones have decent compass apps, or you can easily download one. Aiming directly at the broadcast towers isnât difficult if you have the right tools, and it makes a big difference in reception quality.Design Considerations: Compared to other antennas I've used, which have a central connection point, this one connects from one end. I initially thought this design might limit how high I could mount it in the attic, but it turned out to be just fine. The antenna's size is substantial, but itâs a fair trade-off for the performance you get. Results & Picture Quality: Iâve been a proud cord-cutter since 2008, and I can honestly say I havenât paid for TV programming since then. The picture quality Iâm getting now with this antenna is fantastic. For instance, Channel 9 in Denver comes through crystal clear, with no distortion. Any outlines you might see in photos are just a quirk of using an Android camera to capture the TV screenâthose outlines arenât visible to the naked eye.Final Verdict: If youâre looking to cut the cord or improve your OTA setup, I would definitely recommend this product. Itâs effective, reliable, and delivers excellent performance, even in less-than-ideal locations. Invest in a quality cable for the best results, and take the time to aim it properlyâyou wonât regret it!

Title: WOW!!! Amazing
Review: My last exposure to a T.V. antenna was way back in the "we get three channels" days (and a set of rabbit ears). So, I purchased this because we are getting ready to "cut the cord"; and was a bit leery. I did my research and watched "The Antenna Man" on YouTube. Mounted this antenna in my attic and haven't even done my fine tune adjustment on angle and heading yet (just ballpark setting). This antenna is amazing. The channels I receive are crystal clear and comparable to my Direct TV picture quality. I was concerned with potential signal degradation, with mounting in my attic, but I am thrilled with the results. This antenna is manufactured with quality components, it's well packaged, easy to assemble and simple to mount. Once connected to the TV, the slowest part was the TV as it auto tuned for available channels. Started with 6 channels and ended up with close to 20. This with a couple of streaming services will ease the transition away from the cord. Highly recommended!!!

Review: I cut the cord 10 years ago and have saved $50,000 over the decade from no longer paying for the satellite TV and landline phones. Math can be fun sometimes! My old RCA antenna still works fine but it is looking dingy and a little bent after ten years "before the mast". (I have changed the preamplifier three times in that interval.) So after April's ice storm bent a prong on it, I decided it was time for a change so I bought the Five Star yagi-type antenna after perusing reviews for a week. I put it up and it is strong but seemed a little narrower in its recepton field that my old antenna. I started losing weaker southerly channels because I had to point the new antenna more easterly for most of the channels which now come in strong and sharp even in heavy overcast. So I put my old RCA antenna back up on the mast pointing more southerly and connected the two coax cables of the antennas to the preamp with a "diplexer" box that combines the two wires' signals into one output without any signal loss. It worked like a charm and now we have our 39 channels back loud and clear except during the worst thunderstorms. That little antenna and the diplexer did the trick.
