Title: Activation code did not work - bought it twice after Amazon refunded first purchase
Review: I purchased the 3 device McAfee Total Protection. I found the activation code and put it in the proper McAfee website. It did not work. After trying it several times I called McAfee and they said the code was wrong and it was not showing on their records and that I should call Amazon and get help from them. I called Amazon and talked to a VERY nice young man named Justin who immediately credited my account for the charge. He said I could buy it again and if it didn't work to call them back. I waited a few moments while looking at various security suite options on Amazon. I decided to buy the same thing again - and paid for it. I got a new activation code - but just like the first time, it did not work. I called Amazon - and to my surprise was told they could not credit my account as it was non-refundable. However, since the code didn't work, she said they would make an exception and she credited my credit card. I told her had I known it was non-refundable, I certainly would not have purchased it again. She was very kind but I could have taken a hit for the second purchase if she had decided not to refund my charge. I definitely will not be buying McAfee again on Amazon - and likely will not purchase any software on Amazon. I'll find another way to buy a security suite even if I have to pay more for it. I ended up going with a 30 day free trial with Bit Defender because I didn't have to give a credit card info unless I decide in 30 days to purchase it.
