Title: INDULGENCE WITHOUT GUILT!
Review: I found a recipe for an apple caramel dump cake that I was making far too often for the amount of fat and sugar! I now use this Comstock sugar free pie filling, and brown sugar Stevia instead of caramel. I also use extra cinnamon and nutmeg, plu a little of the bourbon left over from Cmas eggnog. This is the type of dump cake recipe that uses dry spice cake mix topped with a ton of melted butter.First, I used 1/2 butter and 1/2 TJoes plant butter (which actually tastes good!). Although the plant butter doesn’t have any cholesterol, it is equal in fat and calories to dairy butter.Next I followed the recipe for the spice cake with oil, eggs, and water, and used batter to top apples and Stevia. It adds one bowl and a whisk to wash, but it comes out more like a regular apple spice cake, and is topped with lots of walnut pieces.My final version uses the regular cake mix version with melted plant butter instead of oil. I use a little more butter and a little less water. This version tastes great, but removes the guilt from all the extra sugar from the original recipe, and uses a healthier fat. It may not be health food, but I now make it for friends and family on a regular basis!I’ve also made an apple tart by topping the sugar free pie filling with pre-baked pieces of puff pastry topped with stevia, cinnamon, and walnut pieces.

Title: Very good substitute for apple pie filling
Review: Nothing will ever taste like real sugar but I love apple turnovers and was craving it but I have to watch my sugar so I tried this. It doesn’t taste quite like the real thing but it does get pretty close. It’s very expensive but for me it’s worth it. Happy that I can eat my apple turnovers again!

Review: I am glad they make this. The cost seemed appropriate. I am probably a critic, I think it lacked something. I found a few seeds and sharp things like a twig. Is that normal.I guess it's a lot to ask for a genuine apple not to contain some slightly less perfect tiny finds.
