Why designed in this layout?

We found the majority of "wasted time" in workflow is when artists look up & down to search for the functions from the keyboard.

What has TourBox solved?

Keyboard used to be the only solution for creative works and it reduces the synergy between creatives and inspiration, which we believe is vital.

TourBox thus develops the "Hotkey System", "API integration" and "Scene Algorithm", with the hardware that allows eye-free control, to deliver intuitive and efficient workflow across different industries in photo/video editing, illustrating/animating, graphic designing etc.

Title: Excellent Keyboard Companion, You Don't Know You Need!
Review: In my workflow, I do a lot of old/new contract and MOA integrations, as well as drafting MOA proposals and revisions with MS Word and Acrobat. There is a lot of copy/paste and selecting/highlighting, dragging text/paragraphs from a document on one screen to the other document on another screen. My left hand constantly moves back and forth on the keyboard, using different keyboard shortcuts, and simply hitting enter and spacebar a hundred times in between. Needless to say, lots of mouse and keyboard movements.Since on my free time, I do a little gaming using the Azeron Compact keypad, I always wanted something similar to the Azeron that I can use for work. But I needed something with a scroll wheel, possibly a turn knob, and customizable buttons placed need the thumb area. I searched through many different ones, but most were designed for the photo and video editing crowd with button placements that don't work for me. I came across the Tourbox, but the price was a bit much for admission, especially I don't know how well it will work out. Out came the Tourbox Lite, though having less buttons and losing a dial, but the price fits the bill and the size is good to sit next to my keyboard.Although Tourbox called this the Lite, it is definitely not as lite as you think. It has a little nice weight to it, but not in a bad way. The cable that it came with is long enough for me route it around my desk a bit. Win 11 recognized the console without a hiccup after installing the software. The Tourbox Console software is excellent and dead easy to setup the console, like the Azeron. The auto switch based on linked app is perfect and seamless when hopping between several apps but wanting different button setup. It does take a little time to play with the software to know what you want each button to do based on the finger range of the button placement. But once you get passed that, you pretty much have the setup part done, aside from some minor tweak in switching functions to my liking. The knob turn is pretty smooth, and the size is good. The tall and short buttons at the thumb position are right on the spot. I do wish the C1 and C2 buttons were closer down to the knob, but that's of course subjective. I also wish that they have the tour button at the 12 o'clock position above the knob instead of having it way down at the 8 o'clock position far away from the knob. I think Tourbox wanted that tour button for the pinky, but it is placed at a weird location that I had a hard time to reach with my pinky. They should have just kept it down next to the knob like they had it on the Elite version or even have it at the side of the console, at least I could reach it better. But again, it is very subjective. Although the scroll wheel is comfortably reachable, I would much prefer it on the right side. The top button placement is good but splitting it into two buttons would be even better. The knob click and scroll wheel click are both pretty tactile.Aside from my subjective opinions on how I prefer the button placements, this Tourbox Lite is an excellent keyboard companion that many people don't know they need or want. And at under $100, it is hard to beat as an entry console. Using this console, I can now keep my left hand on it without moving much over to the keyboard to do the repetitive processing workflow, which definitely speed things up by a lot. A word of advice to new users would be, don't get too ambitious with trying to bind every function to the buttons and combos, because you can get lost and confused with what button does what, which will end up slowing you down, defeating the purpose of having this console. Start small and then grow the function binds on the console as you get more familiar with it and your muscle memory kicks in better.
