Title: New life for my rug spot!
Review: Summary: Exactly what I needed. Would buy again!I work from home and the carpet beneath my feet at my desk was severly matted. The carpet itself isn't particularly old, it just sees a lot of my feet.Something was needed to restore it and I began looking for carpet rakes. Most are made out of plastic and I knew they wouldn't be up to the task. Then I found this tool and my search was over. Boy I'm glad I did because it powered through and made the carpet pile look almost new again. If you look at the before/after picture on this product listing, my "before" was actually quite a bit worse. The item is made in China. Although Chinese-made products often get a bad rap for quality, this brush is a definite exception. It's well-made and I think it will last a reasonable time.⢠The brush head base and tines are a sturdy thickness of metal, definitely not flimsy. It also has a good quality powder coating. I ran my fingers over the surface and didn't find any defects.⢠The metal tines are 2cm (.75 inch) long, so they have the depth for deep carpeting. And they are fairly thick, so they don't seem likely to bend.⢠The handle is a solid, good quality piece of wood. There aren't any burrs or splinters. It has a nice stain and coating that gives it a good hand feel. There are two _very_ minor concerns / issues:⢠The handle length is a little short. I'm an American woman with average-sized hands and it doesn't quite fit snuggly in my palm. Someone larger, like a grown man, might find the handle uncomfortable to grip, especially since the handle is smooth.⢠Over time, the most likely failure point is where the metal brush head is inserted / secured into the handle. It might come apart because of the way the pulling forces act. But that's a risk for any two-pieced, handled tool. So it's just something to realize might eventually happen.I wish there were a larger version, with a broom-length handle. The rest of my carpet could use a nice massage too. I can't imagine doing my whole house with this small brush, but a big brother would definitely stand up to the effort better than a plastic one.If you're shopping for a similar brush, I think you'll be pleased with one. I would definitely buy this product again.

Title: Fell Apart Right Away
Review: One swipe with this tool on the rug and it fell apart. The actual metal part works well to fluff up the rug. Very difficult to use when the metal separates from the handle. Poor design.

Title: Quality/customer service
Review: This product does work however, after a few uses the front piece came off the handle and I had to re-glue it to be to continue using this product. That being said I would decently purchase from this vendor as the have excellent customer service and put their customers 1st.

Title: Be very careful!
Review: Please be very careful when you use this carpet rake. In full disclosure, the directions did say to be careful and not rake too hard. I obviously raked harder than I realized because it immediately tore up a few pieces of the carpet. I tried using it much lighter on another section & although it didnât tear the carpet, I only saw minimal change.I then tried on the stairs where hair seems to gather. The rack picked up a few strands but not much. It could be the way Iâm using the rake but I wasnât very impressed with the effectiveness. I will keep trying and update if I see any change.

Title: Sturdy and does the job great
Review: - This is a good quality carpet rake that looks simple and is built well.- I appreciate that the tines are metal and not made of plastic. It feels durable and sturdy.- It works well on short hair carpet as well as faux fur shags. It gave my matted carpet and rugs a new life.- Because of how small it is it might be a tedious job to cover large areas but i need it mostly for the carpet under my table where it is most matted. Also I found it useful for my faux fur shags and rugs with longer hair.- It feels sturdy when i use it but eventually the part where the metal brush head is inserted into the wooden handle may come apart as it is starting to get a little loose at the joint already.- Overall it is a decent carpet rake that will do the job fine.
