The battery disconnect is made of zinc alloy with brass plating, corrosion resistance. Designed to be used for batteries which has a standard 15-17 mm cone top post terminal. 1. Make sure the negative battery post and battery clamp (original battery connector) clean before installation. 2. Tighten the green knob. 3. Remove the negative cable from battery. 4. Install the disconnect switch on the battery post. 5. Install the cable on the stud end of the disconnect switch

Title: It works but can be frustrating to install.
Review: The quick disconnect switch works, and for those with glitchy Ford Sync systems, it is much easier to use than crawling under the dashboard to pull a fuse. Installation was far more difficult than I anticipated. When installed the terminal will be oriented at a 90 degree angle from your battery post - so for a top post battery the new post will be horizontal, vice versa for a side post battery. Battery cables are thick, well secured, and don't have much slack so you may have to wrestle to get it secured to the new post. You can probably get this one to work, but consider buying a quick disconnect switch with posts oriented in the same direction as the battery.

Review: My installation was relatively easy. I did have to bend the negative cable bracket a bit to get it fitted. The only other negative is that there were two "bumps" of metal on the post where the cable is attached that had to be filed off. Not a big issue, but they should have been removed during manufacturing.
