Title: Itâs even better than we hoped for!
Review: My dog is relatively quiet unless he sees a smaller dog, children playing, or people running. Then he goes into bark mode which lasts way too long.We already have a beeping/vibrating bark collar that works but the battery life is only 10 hours. We needed something that had a better battery life, but especially after buying an RV. A park we stayed in recently had a zero tolerance for barking dogs (apparently after reading reviews of dog owners booted off). I bought this collar for the trip. I charged it prior to going. Put it in my dog in the morning, and only had it on the vibrate setting. It cuts the barking in about half. He usually has a nice little tantrum of barking for about 5 minutes but now this is a couple barks to maybe 2 minutes tops. Iâm sure if we used the shock setting it would eliminate the barking but honestly heâs quiet for the most part so we do feel like this is needed. But, this collar worked well. I didnât charge it for the 5 days we were there. I did take it off at night. Sometimes Iâd flip it from v (vibrate) to n (neutral for off). Sometimes Iâd leave it on v and it would go into standby mode to save power. When I got home I didnât even need to charge it. It was still in green.I do think that the manufacturerâs instructions were spotty. Like it should mention the occasional flashing red light which just signals itâs on )not that it needs charging). I kept trying to charge it and realized it wasnât charging because it was fully charged. But, when I changed from n to v then it would alert me to the fully charged status. Also, I had a heck of a time figuring out how to hook the charging mechanism to the bark collar. I finally figured out that the circle configuration of the bottom of the collar to the charger and the prongs lined up. Also, the different collar options when originally ordering the collar was confusing. I thought it was something special not just different color options. The basic black works fine.Honestly, my experience with this collar has been great. We were able to take our dog all around the town and in some shops. He was really well behaved and I believe some of that is because of how this collar changed his behavior.

Title: Can't believe I'm even using a bark collar; BUT, I am SO grateful to have found this one!
Review: My new to me dog, 3 year old neutered male miniature poodle, came to live with me in March. He was rehomed/gifted by a breeder who'd fallen on hard times and needed to rehome her dogs. SO sad. I fell into and remain totally in love with this little man. Story made short: I learned he'd been cage/kennel kept for the previous 2 of his 3 years and I've figured out he probably wore a bark collar more or less all the time...and he'd learned how not to get shocked...by howling and crying...because the collar didn't alert if he wasn't barking. Didn't matter if I left for 45 seconds or 2 hours. He howled. So, after a lot of soul searching (I've always been opposed to bark collars) and on the advice of my Vet, and out of options, I bought a collar. A collar that chirped and vibrated. Almost had a pain in my heart the first time I put it on him. And, it didn't work. He still howled. Back to the drawing board and more research. Then, I found this miracle. Made by Garmin. Garmin BarkLimiter Deluxe with AUTOMATIC LEVELS!!!GAME CHANGER!!! SUCCESS!!! No more agonizing over the idea that I might not be able to keep my new love because I couldn't help him!If I had to ask anything of Garmin, it would be that they would emphasize the amazing value of the Automatic Level setting and that it resets itself, etc., especially to first time users of a bark collar. I'm a Grandma who'd never held a bark collar much less used one and finding balanced info is hard! Thank you though for this wonderful tool. It really is amazing. I am so grateful...so's the dog.

Title: Works!
Review: This product definitely works. I have a big 130lbs Great Pyrdane. And he is very smart. He knows when batteries are dead and when they are not. This one he does not even question. He just assume it always is charged. While I didn't keep it on for more then 8 hours. I also do not recommend having it on any longer. As animals need to talk. Just like we do. Only reason I had to get this was because he talked too much while I was gone and I didn't want to get kicked out of my apartment.

Title: Another inhumane collar
Review: I do not think electric collar training is inhumane out of principle. But when its inconsistent it is. This is the 4th different bark collar I have tried and every single one of them does the same thing. They work great for like 3 or 4 days to maybe a week or two and then they start to malfunction and shock the dog without a bark.We live on a farm and my germen shepherd is on a cable run during the day. This collar worked very well at first. It basically completely stopped her bad barking habit by the end of day one. I enjoyed about 4 days of perfect peace and she seemed fine. I thought maybe I finally found a good one. Then one day my father-in-law came into my shop and said I needed to go check on her, she was acting strange. So I ran out to her and she was clearly being shocked without provocation. She hadn't been barking at all (I can hear her very well when she does). She was running around trying to get away from whatever was hurting her and when she saw me she ran to me with a scared look in her eye. I got the collar off as fast as I could and it took her about 5 minutes sitting at my feet to stop shaking before she just fell asleep in the grass - like she had been through a traumatic event. Fortunately, shes always been extremely resilient and seems fine but I can't imagine how many dogs are out there being tortured by these damn collars without their owners ever being the wiser. This is unacceptable. I'm sick and tired of these companies putting these cheap things on the market. I thought this one, being that it was Garmin and almost $100 might be different from the others but they all seem to be about the same. If it can't work 100% reliably it shouldn't be sold - period.

Review: Sucks when I have to use the shock method over just the vibration, but it's easy to change when you need to. It works well! Just have to remember it's a training tool and not ment for 24/7 use and you need to monitor what's happening and not react and baby your dog when it shocks them ... Work with a trainer if you've never used one before! They'll help with fit and help you with the response reaction. I have a 15lb mini poodle and he knows now to not bark when it's on. We're working on him not barking when it's off

Review: Great concept however my 1 y.o. German Shepherd didn't respond to any of the 3 types of simulation. Even attached the longer probes to ensure they got theough her coat. Will be seeking a refund as have not seen any indication of response to "stimulation" ie. Shock mode.

Review: Highly recommend! Don't wait to buy this. I have a Bluetick Coon Hound/American Bulldog mix (60 pounds) who barks regularly and loudly. We have tried training and less expensive bark collars to no avail. I finally decided to buy this collar and wish I had tried it years ago! After one day on the 2nd setting (of 7), our dog no longer barks. It's unbelievable (for reference, she wouls bark even on the highest setting on the less expensive brands). This has relieved so much stress from my life, can't recommend it enough! The only downside is the battery I've doesn't seem to last nearly as long as they claim (10 months). We have had it about a month and have recharged it twice (which is still a significant improvement over other models).
Customers say
Customers like the barking collar for its effectiveness. They mention it curbs their puppy's barking and is a great fixer for it. However, some customers have reported that the shock level is too high and randomly shocks their dogs without any reason. They also have issues with accuracy. Opinions are mixed on functionality, battery life, value for money, and build quality.
