Title: So much better than I had hoped for!
Review: I read through so many reviews on so many different lawn mower options before deciding to pull the trigger and purchase this. I have not had a lawn in over 20 years, so it has been a long time to own one. I wanted to go towards the 'eco friendly' options more out of selfishness if you ask me. I did not want to have to even remember to go get gas for a fuel powered one so that was off the list immediately. Move on to battery or 'man power' (this one). The cost was another factor but did not make or break my decision. I work remote and don't get out much so I ultimately chose this to force myself to exercise even if only a little bit. (yep hate exercise). I was a bit concerned as I was afraid I had waited to long to buy this to get my lawn mowed as it was getting tall in some places. Between the reviews and even the descriptions they do not recommend using this on taller grass, but I did. So here are the details: I have roughly 1/3 an acre or so of grass to cut. I have a wild mix of seeded/pre-purchased grass sections (home was remodeled when i bought it) as well as the back half of random grasses and flowers and weeds. Yard is uneven terrain but no hills (lots of dips and bumps). I adjusted the blades to the highest setting to start. The tall sections were rough to cut, taking more 'man power' that normal. However, it still cut it eventually! I quickly realized that if you take angled swipes/passes and just take it down a little bit at a time it works much better and goes much faster. The rest of the yard was pretty easy. Some of the taller weed stalks didn't get cut, the mower just passed over them basically. As I am not looking for a 'perfectly manicured lawn' this didn't matter to me at all. I would say how long this took, but this was my first time mowing in over 20 years so I will keep that to myself! Going forward I will keep up on it and it should be easy like the lower patches I did go over. Decent exercise and overall pretty easy. Does it cut uneven? Sure, my lawn is uneven. Did I care? Nope because I am just happy to have a lawn. Easy to assemble, yup just read the instructions and attach the handle. I did have to adjust the blades as recommended but that was very easy and in the instructions as well. Although it does make some 'noise', you cannot hear it inside the house or anything like that. My dog is very afraid of any and all loud noises, has always been this way no matter what we tried. She walked right along with me while I was cutting the grass and she didn't mind the little noise it did make. Bottom line, I think this was a great investment for myself and my home. Lastly, I did not use the catcher as I did not care about dropping the grass clippings on my lawn. I read up on that outside of Amazon and depending on your yard, your environment and the type of grass and such you have, leaving more than 1" of cut grass will not end your lawn. Depending on all of those things you might not want to leave more than an inch of clippings but for all of my particulars I felt comfortable leaving more than an inch of clippings on my lawn. If my perspective changes over time I will update my review. Side not unrelated but might make you laugh - you should put sunblock on the tops/backs of your hands....

Title: Not too bad but be careful on the lowest setting...
Review: LOVED this mower when i started using it. Assembled the handle, topped off the battery, no issues - easy stuff. Mowed my back yard at lowest setting for scalp and things worked great. Having dreams about using a reel in the heat of summer on my bermuda. It just gets too hot here to use a manual reel - i have an office job, i can only do so much when it's over 100 deg until dark, :D. Bagging the dead clippings wasn't perfect, had some grassy feet & legs but the bag caught most of it. The back wall of the grass catcher could be a little bit higher to catch more. The cut was nice, no washboarding. If you've used a manual reel on thick grass, you know what I mean. Seemed like plenty of battery left after cutting 1600 sq ft.The problem was when i cut the strip of bermuda at the front sidewalk, the ground is a bit more rough with an odd arch to it. Still no problems... until I hit one spot where it seemed to bottom out. After that, there was a horrible grinding sound with the motor running; metal on metal. The bed knife and one of the reel blades got bent. To give you an idea, I've run my American manual reel over this spot for a few years and has caused no problems. The ground is not rocky at all and the blades were nowhere near the sidewalk. Tried to make some minor adjustments but one of the blades hit the bed knife on each turn. I might just have to grind that spot down and adjust as best as possible for the other blades.Overall, if your lawn is flat enough, I think this could be a decent mower but still too new to really tell. Lots of plastic around a barely adequate metal frame so it seems like it could go either way. My first concern was during assembly about the plastic pieces that connect the handle to the mower; definitely a spot for improvement. Very narrow cutting width and there seems to be too much space between the wheels and the blades so you're going to do some more walking. It only took one hit to throw it out of whack so, treat the blades and bed knife like 'Old Glory' and don't let 'em touch the ground.UPDATE: Was able to file part of the one blade that jammed against the bed knife and, after a re-adjustment, it's working pretty well again. One of the other blades doesn't cut paper in the middle now but, all the other blades (except where I filed) cut paper all the way across. Guess the bed knife wasn't bent or a very minor bend. Lots of battery left after mowing the back yard yesterday. Gotta say, I'm pretty happy with this mower again.

Review: I really like this mower. It is well built from quality materials.Pros:Environmentally friendlyQuality materials so you don’t have to fight with the mechanisms.Easy to assembleThe clipping bag works wellCons:Does require effort but nothing too strenuousNow this is not like a powered mower. It does not have motorized wheels to pull it along. It does require some effort to use but I like using it and I hated mowing my lawn before.I am also a 5’4” average-strength woman. I find this mower easy to use.I have a 40’ by 30’ back yard with a little bit of grass on the sides of the house and it takes maybe 30-45 minutes by the time I wrestle it out of my over-packed shed, mow and put it back. My lawn is 5 years old in a new neighbourhood so my landscaping is new and smooth with the appropriate drainage sloping required by the city. It mows the slopes (15 degrees max.) pretty good.It does an ok job along the fence however I still need to use the weed-whacker to trim up the areas along the fence, deck and garden. More than with my old gas powered mower. It does an ok job at mowing over dandelions hower with the thicker stalked weeds you do need to go ever the area a few times or just pull them out by hand. The grass clipping basket works better than I thought it would. I was impressed with how much grass it caught and I do use it more than I thought I would. This mower was a little harder to use when I first purchased it however after about 3 uses it broke in nicely and is easier to push.It stopped working the second time I used it however a little clump or hard dirt got jammed between the blades and the guard on the back so I put on some leather gloves, spun the blade the other way and it came out. It worked perfect after that.It works pretty good on grass that is 4” tall. I have it set to the lowest setting. Sometime if there is too mch grass clipping on top of the reel it will not properly cut the lawn but I brush it off and it works good. Be careful though, the blades are sharp.I really like this mower. I have used it for two months now (June and July). And I do recommend it.

However, some customers have reported issues with the build quality and difficulty in pushing the mower. They say the basket falls apart and the wheels lock up. Customers disagree on the cut quality, functionality, and value for money.
