Title: Very pleased with this mower
Review: My first battery-powered lawnmower. I bought a different one (not B&D) from a local retailer last year, but returned it after one cut because it performed so poorly. Never thought I'd try another one -- this B&D model works way above and beyond my expectations. I was leery of buying B&D - quality with some of their power tools wasn't so good, but that was many years ago.Lot's of good points with this mower:- one battery lasts 15-20 minutes run time; enough to cut my city-sized lawn on one battery. Machine comes with 2 batteries.- easily cuts thru tall grass, broadleaf weeds, and twigs.- It is extemely light, and a cinch to push (could use one hand). Don't worry about it not being self-propelled - you only need that with a heavy clunky gas mower. Very easy to maneuver.- I thought the bag capacity looked small online, but is actually quite adequate. Easy to tell when full. A little awkward to empty & re-attach, and impossible not to spill some clippings when emptying.- handle folds down easily, almost flat, with a handle on top of the mower for lifting. I can easily lift it (with one hand) into the car. It would fit in any trunk. I've been taking it to use at my rental duplex, since I can no longer stand using the gas mower!Only 2 small negatives:- the rubber flap that drags on the ground behind the mower got caught in the blade when I pulled the mower backwards for a short distance. It completely shredded. I don't think this should happen even when pulled backwards. Most mowers have this flap, I assume as a safety device to keep you from sticking your foot under the mower (which would be impossible anyway with the grass catcher in place). I used the mower today, and it works exactly the same, without this flap. I did e-chat today with Amazon to find out how to replace it under warranty .... they were extremely helpful.- the foam rubber hand grip is starting to peel away at the ends. A little good old duct tape on the ends will cure this.Overall, I love this mower. Being all plastic & very light, time will tell how well it holds up. A also bought the weed-wacker that uses the same battery --- also works great, and nice to have 3 batteries on hand.

Title: Good for a small, weedy, hilly yard.
Review: This works well for my small, weedy, hilly yard.I have had this for at least 6 full summers now.The good:I'm not the most conscientious mower of my lawn. It's a clearing in a wooded area, not particularly visible to neighbors, in a rural community with no covenants about grass length, so I don't always feel a great obligation to do anything about the lawn until it starts to get so deep that the cat gets lost. This mower is fine with that - as long as the length is set at one of the highest grass length settings it will plow right on through any sort of thick grass and weeds - even blackberry bushes (don't worry, I always send a search party for the cat and put him inside first). It doesn't get caught up on much of anything. It has accidentally hit both a large rock and a half-buried brick and did not suffer any damage (not that I'd recommend trying to mow over such things with any mower - I was probably just lucky that it didn't break the blade.)It's easily maneuverable around my hilly yard, and so light that I can carry it up the stairs to keep it on the porch. The bag is very easy to get on and off, and to empty - it has a big handle and you just open the plastic flap and lift it right off. The mower also works without the bag if you want the clippings to land on the lawn, though it isn't specifically designed to be used that way and occasionally when doing that in long grass the chute will get packed too full, and then the grass clumps need to be unstuck with a stick.I haven't had any problems at all with the handle loosening or breaking, even with my probably-inadvisable habit of picking it up by the handle to carry it up the porch stairs - though the handle is the hardest part of this to assemble correctly in the first place because of a rather weird gear and lever system. The batteries have green indicators to show you how fully charged they are, and the charger has lights to indicate what it's doing (waiting for the batteries to cool down, charging, done charging.)This mower wasn't too difficult to assemble by one person, even though the instructions had a lot of steps and probably took half an hour. The not-as-good:The batteries seem to last about 15 to 20 minutes each. My yard is too big (approximately 1/4 acre of open grass) to do the whole thing with one battery. Usually I can do it in two batteries, so I try to plan it so that I've got one fully charged and another fully or mostly charged when I start. But if I forget to charge both ahead of time, or if for some reason I can't finish the whole yard with two batteries, then I have to take a long break, because the batteries need to cool down before they'll even start to charge. The cool down seems to take anywhere from 10 minutes to more than half an hour, depending on how hot the weather is and how long the mower has been running. Then the charging of the battery to full power takes perhaps 90 minutes. If you don't want to have to plan or take breaks you might get annoyed with this.I had hoped the batteries would be the same type as those in my Black & Decker weed whacker - then I would have had twice as many compatible batteries and chargers - but alas they are not the same size, so not interchangeable. It would be nice if the company could standardize that for more of its gadgets. This needs its orange plastic key to be plugged into it in order to start, so you have to not lose the key! That is a good safety feature, especially for those with small children around, because really this thing is easy enough to figure out and light enough for a kindergartner to operate - but obviously that would be dangerous! I don't have kids and I'm a little afraid of misplacing the key, so I never take the key out of the mower, which defeats the purpose of the key.In the spring when I get the mower out of my shed for the first mowing of the year it usually doesn't start on the first press of the button - but just as I'm starting to get worried and think it's finally given up, it starts on the 4th or 5th try - and then it's fine for the rest of the summer. This mower is small and toy-like. That has its advantages as noted above, but it also means it takes a lot of passes to do the whole yard because the mower is so narrow. This is working well for me and I would recommend it, with the caveats above.

Review: This is a great little lawn mower. Since it's battery operated, it can't chew through really tall grass easily like a gas mower can. I can see it being the perfect mower for someone who mows their lawn once a week or so. The batteries last a good while, and obviously the thicker the grass and the harder the mower is working, the faster the battery drains. It has six different height settings, so you can pick which height of cutting you perfer. It's also very quiet and no need to use hearing protection while using it.I have two small issues with tbe mower, and thats why i can't give it 5 stars. The first iasue is the grass bag. It's tiny, and as far as I've been able to tell, the mower won't run without the grass bag attached, unless you bypass the flap with a bungie cord and hold the flap up. I understand this this is a saftey thing, but thw grass then shoots towards you with the flap open. The second thing is that the battery charger isn't a quick charger like on the new battery operated Husqvarna and Stihl chainsaws. It takes maybe an hour or so to charge the battery, where as a quick charger would only take maybe 15min.Other than that, I'm happy with the mower. One less gas engine to deal with and maintain is always nice.

Review: We bought this lawn mower for my husband who broke his left shoulder in late March. He finds it amazing, light and very efficient. HE ENJOYS MOWING THE LAWN WITH HIS NEW LAWN MOWER.As for the batteries'duration when fully charged, it essentially depends on the length of your grass. The longer the grass, the shorter the duration of the battery. As for the charger, it works very well and promptly as well. All in all a very good buy!

Review: Even on middle setting, dies after a few minutes. Then switch batteries. Then it dies again after a few minutes. You need to space the cutting of your lawn over two days, in 5-minute increments, cutting narrow swaths. We have a set of typically-sized suburban lawns: nothing unusual. Apart from failing, horribly, at its only task, the features (manoeuverability, lightness, and ease of use) are fine.

Review: I bought this mower the spring of 2022. Initially I was quite happy with it. It's quite compact and light, and came with 2 batteries which you can swap quite easily. Perfect for smaller lawns. However, after a few uses one wheel fell off, and then another. It was relatively easy to reattach the wheels but it seems the mower was assembled sloppily. This spring I started having a bigger problem as one battery stopped holding charge and I'll need to spend money to get a replacement battery. All in all I'm relatively happy with the mower I just wish the battery lasted more than just one summer.
