Title: Lightweight, easy to use, and good power/durability for the money
Review: This weed trimmer required almost zero assembly. After charging one of the batteries for an hour I was off and running in the yard cutting weeds and small branches. This unit is ergonomic and a breeze to handle -- smaller and lighter than my old corded string trimmers. Its power is adequate though. The battery holds an impressive amount of charge and it did not noticeably lose juice after half an hour of trimming finger-thick branches. The build quality is good; better than I expected given the retail price of seventy dollars. The inclusion of two batteries means one can be charging while I use the other, for uninterrupted yard work. Most impressive is the tubing connecting the cutter head to the handle. It has a larger diameter and is therefore more stout than I would expect. They did not skimp on the main shaft. It is stiff with no flex. The inner tubing adjusts in length smoothly and easily against the outer tubing with many places to lock in the length and get it just right. Quick and easy too. The cutter head angle also is quick to adjust. As a lighter and smaller 'weed whacker' than my older string trimmers it is easier to store. It can be hung on a pair of hooks overhead. There is one drawback versus string trimmers which is that the plastic cutting heads for 'soft grass' are easily destroyed if you hit something hard. In fact I destroyed one in the first twenty seconds of use and destroyed another within twenty minutes. I will look to buy a slew of extras as they are handy heads to use around things like wooden fences where a metal blade would cause damage. The old string trimmer concept has an advantage in such areas as when the string breaks I can just release some more string. That is much quicker and cheaper than changing a blade. However where damage is not a concern by using one of the metal blades with this unit there is the advantage of making quick work of woody stems. String trimmers don't work against woody plants.I am super pleased with this very effective "whacker." It seems reasonably priced considering all that is included. Its biggest drawback is that the soft plastic cutters break easily, but as I develop a "touch" as to how to not push them too hard I am breaking them a little less often. I do think I will burn through lots of them over the course of a summer.Overall I am very pleased with this cordless weed cutter. It makes the chore of trimming much easier than dragging a power cord all around the yard, or dealing with a gas engine. The quality of this unit for the price seems very good so I can recommend it without reservations.

Title: Lightweight
Review: We were looking for a weed wacker suitable for an elderly person who cannot handle heavy items. Even with the battery attached, this weed wacker is light enough to be used for brief projects without shoulder or arm strain. It was fairly easy to assemble and changing the blades is quick. The adjustments for rod length and head angle are quick and easy. The instructions, as expected, are minimal. The extra plastic blades for cutting grass are nice, as well as two metal blades for heavier cutting and two robust metal disks for serious shrub trimming. It also includes two already charged battery packs, a pair of grippy gloves and plastic safety glasses. It is an adequate and lightweight tool for minor trimming projects around the yard.

Title: Lots of promise and some questions...
Review: I was VERY excited to get this trimmer! In order...- Packaged poorly. Literally everything is thrown into a box.- No instructions. None!!!- VERY lightweight.- Hard plastic blade worked well enough on tall grass along a fence. However, it did snap within 5 minutes.- Changing "blades" on weedeaters is never fun. This requires a hex wrench every time. About the same level of difficulty on a standard.- I look forward to using this to trim a bush.- I am absolutely TERRIFIED of putting the saw blade on! Why?!?- Reasonably priced.Would I buy it again? Here's my BIGGEST HESITATION: this is not a name brand item, so how difficult will it be to get replacement blades? Until there's a clear answer, it's 3 stars.

Title: Impressive
Review: I got this today. The batteries have a charge already, but they can use some time on the charger to top them off. The included blades are truly frightening. Pictures on the sales page show it cutting some pretty thick branches. However, the included instructions have a warning that it is "only suitable for mowing grass in garden lawn."I'll be staying away from those saw blades. I have better (and much safer) ways to cut branches. I expect to use the plastic ones primarily. They should be sufficient for my ordinary lawn. If I had to clean up heavy brush or large weeds, the metal ones will do the job.My only concern is finding replacement plastic blades. Amazon often shows add-ons like these on the sales page with a title like "Frequently Bought Together." I don't see that, but I did a search and found what looks like comparable blades. I suppose the blades are somewhat standard and fit many different models. So i'm not worrying about that.it comes with a wire guard that you can flip up or down, but it doesn't click into place. The instructions say it is a grass collar. I think a better term would be flower guard. It prevents you from cutting too close to your plants. Since it doesn't click into place, I have doubts about it for that purpose. I can see it being very useful if you are using the saw blades to edge your sidewalks though. Just run the guard up against the sidewalk, and the saw blades will cut a straight line. To me, that's a bit dangerous to people, pets and windows. It's light. It telescopes easily. The head swivels easily. It comes with two batteries. It's simple to put together. The handle is easily adjustable.
