Title: A powerful, reliable, easy-to-use cordless exceptional tool for maintaining a neat & tidy yard!
Review: The Greenworks 40V 13-Inch Cordless String Trimmer / Edger (Gen 2) is an exceptional tool for maintaining a neat and tidy yard! This trimmer is lightweight and easy to handle, making yard work a breeze. The 40V battery provides plenty of power, allowing me to trim and edge my entire lawn on a single charge. The 13-inch cutting path is perfect for getting the job done quickly and efficiently, and the dual functionality as a trimmer and edger is incredibly convenient. I love how easy it is to switch between trimming and edging modes, and the results are always clean and precise. The battery charges quickly and holds its charge well, so I’m always ready to tackle the next task. This trimmer is a fantastic addition to my lawn care routine, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, reliable, and easy-to-use cordless tool!

Title: Works as good as the other G-Max products.
Review: Got this after buying the 16 inch chain saw. I had a really old weed whacker and figured it was time to replace it. My old one was a corded electric version.I don't like the cords. Step on them, trip on them and it's a hassle. Or after time like with mine the cord would come unplugged frequently and I'd end up having to bend the prongs to try to keep it in longer.Assembly was simple. Used it to touch up the yard and it was fine. Then on to the big test - whacking down all the spring weed growth in my vegetable garden. Good news is that it had more power than my very old corded version. Auto line feed worked fine. We had a lot of rain so the weeds in my garden were significant - some of them already were about 18 inches tall and base stalk diameters were close to an inch. This thing didn't have any problems. I was able to touch up my small back yard and whack down all the garden weeds with one fully charged battery.Only downside I experienced is that removing the battery was a major pain. Before using it I plugged in a battery to see if it would work. I could barely get the battery out (yes I pushed the little battery lever). I got my spare battery out and plugged it in and tried to remove it - same thing. Maybe I haven't perfected the technique since I've only used it once but it wasn't a small deal. Both my batteries and the trimmer are really new (bought them with the chain saw) - maybe with time it won't be so hard to remove the batteries But removing the battery from the chain saw is much easier than with this. But this was the only bad thing I can think of.Updated 6-9-14: Ok, I seem to have some of the same "auto feed" problems others are experiencing. Went to wack a bunch of different weeds down that were very tall. It worked pretty good but the larger diameter weeds caused the string to break sometimes or thick vine type of weeds broke the line. It wouldn't auto feed. I took it apart and the problem seems to be with the line on the spool itself. It wouldn't auto feed because some of the line was almost anchored to the rest of the line in spots - almost too well anchored. At one point pulling on the line to break the "melt point" resulted in me breaking the line?! It was super frustrating - but I didn't want to waste the entire spool and would go through the ridiculous process of removing the spool each time the cord was too short and manually pulling longer lengths through. I purchased a 3 pack of new spools. I'll try them out and hopefully they are better. I also have trimmer line already and will try to figure out if I can re-line the existing spools somehow. No ding on number of stars just yet. Thing was a champ taking out some weeds with diameter of 1 inch not to mention how thick and tough some of the weeds were. For just regular grass it's still a champ.

Title: Bought Again
Review: I had one when they first came out. 40V system. Ran well in extreme weed and yard conditions here for many years service, so I thought I would get the same one again. Battery system and charging stations still doing well. I bought just the tool. I did replace one large battery pack in the spring. I can comment to avoid the cheap replacement batteries as I am not getting much performance out of these Chinese knock offs. This line trimmer has had some improvements. The speed control is much smoother than my first one and the motor is way more quiet. Considering the first one, if I get the same lifetime out of this one, I would probably buy again.

Title: Piece of Junk
Review: I ordered this trimmer to replace a corded B&D trimmer that I'd used for years. However, I'd bought a cordless mower -- by Sun Joe -- which works great, so I thought I'd try a cordless trimmer.I ended up buying Greenworks instead of Sun Joe because I remember a friend of mine posted on Facebook a few years ago about how much he liked his Greenworks mower. I bought a blower and this trimmer. (Fwiw, the blower, while underpowered, works well.)Out of the box, my trimmer was broken. The screw that was supposed to hold the guard in place would not come out for me to attach the guard. I contacted customer service, and they sent me another trimmer. The second trimmer arrived within a week, and the screw to hold the guard in place was fine, but the guard itself had wheels that would not turn. No problem: I used the guard from the broken trimmer, charged up the battery, installed the trimmer line, and went out to do some yardwork. The first thing I noticed was that the thing is way out of balance, but, I rationalized, there is a battery by the handle, so the feel would be different from the corded trimmer I was accustomed to. I let it slide. Now's the part I can't forgive: The trimmer line does not automatically advance. Well, not very far, anyway. But I figured it was just my inexperience with this trimmer, and I did as much as I could, until it became too frustrating.Today, I decided to try the trimmer again. I had the same issue with the line not advancing, but I discovered a button on the head that allowed me to stop the trimmer and advance the line manually. So I did that. A few times. I even used the trimmer to mow a lot of the back yard, and it worked fairly well. Then I decided to go out front and edge with it. I turned the head on its two pivots. That design seemed like a great idea, until it started shooting junk into my face. I adjusted the trimmer to an uncomfortable level to continue more safely, although, again, I had to manually advance the line 3 or 4 times, which seems excessive for my small yard.I finished edging and started trimming along the rocks that line my garden in the front yard. The line snapped again, way too quickly, and I smashed the device against the concrete of my driveway. It snapped apart very nicely. That was satisfying, and it only cost me around $45, because I can still use the battery and charger for the blower.I do NOT recommend this device. I will probably try the Sun Joe version, although I honestly have no idea whether it will be any better. I hope so.

Title:
Review: El equipo funciona muy bien. La pila tiene muy buena duración incluso más de lo que menciona la descripción. No me he quedado sin pila y además, carga rápido. Soy nueva con este tipo de equipos y aún no sé si era mejor el de doble hilo. La he usado como 6 veces para hierba fina y sacate. No corta maleza (hierba más gruesa) pues se acaba muy rápido el hilo y se atora.

Review: I am happy with it but since it is my second one after 5 years of use, here is my desapointment. The only down side is i cannot use my other batteries 40 volts on it because the compagnie added a little plastic protector between the batterie contactor making the use of my previous batteries not to be usable?I had to use my old trimmer upper part connectedwith the new trimmer to be able to use my batteries so living the new upper part aside.Thanx for reading!Steve

Review: Funciona bastante bien. El único tema es que es un poco pesado si lo quieres usar en bajadas.
