Title: Very Expensive Bidet, But Well Worth The Cost! Incredibly Helpful For Those With Back Pain!
Review: Ok it isnât cheap. Itâs actually a bit absurdly expensive. The warranty process if one fails is almost terrible. However, these are highly rated for a reason. Even the New York Times loves the model. Anyway, thatâs the bad. I wanted to get the ugly out of the way first ðThe good=Very well designed, the seat has a slight cant forward, which helps with sitting down and getting up. A big deal if you have serious back pain. The remote is designed well, and is super easy to figure out even without reading the manual (hey, Iâm a stereotypical maleð¤ª) The remote has a Great Wall mount bracket. Love it.Has a nice seat heating feature that really comes in practical and handy on those cold fall/winter mornings when you gotta go and didnât have time to pre-warm the bathroomâ¦Has a nice self-clean cycle. Say goodbye to stuck-on ð© yuck! Now for the PSA portion of my review ðIâm an American, and I have to say I think itâs just absolutely stupid that we have been so slow to mass-adopt these. They should be in every bathroom everywhere. They are that practical. It isnât a âluxuryâ item like so many, including me, thought for so long. Iâm not by any means saying you have to spend 400-500+ on a bidet. Very nice, functionally similar units can be had for under 100. You might not get a heated seat or warm water but believe me, even a non-electric bidet is vastly better than not having one at all. Trust me, you do not want to need one and not have it than the other way around. I just went through this nightmare myself recently. Please excuse the semi-graphic depiction here, but if I can save one person from experiencing the misery I went through then itâs worth it. Here goes. Say you live alone, or with a S/O, roommate etc who isnât home consistently. Suddenly you injure yourself where mobility is an issue. Imagine you canât stretch enough to wipe without creating more pain. Now what? You canât just jump in the shower. Same problem, re-injuring yourself becomes highly likely. So now you can either live like a toddler with a soiled rear end and all the associated humiliation and depression that goes with that ORâ¦You can own a bidet. Yep, itâs that simple pretty much. I went through the worst aspects of not having one. Once I did it completely restored normal bathroom function. Knowing you have a clean rear end really shouldnât be a luxury right? Once you get the hang of it(doesnt take long) you can sit, do your âdutyâ use the spray for anywhere from 30 sec to 2 min and you will be cleaner than you ever were with TP, and without any bending, contortions, TP waste etc. not to mention not re-injuring yourself. I will never stop recommending bidets to anyone who will listen. Itâs time to get over the silly societal hang ups, the silly western taboo. Europeans, Arab and Asian countries among others have been using them in one form or another for decades. Primitive ones since the dawn of plumbing. Using TP excessively should be the taboo, not a bidet. Believe me, once you use one you will become the next convert. They are finally beginning to catch on rapidly in the USA and Iâm glad to see it. I wish I had discovered them many years ago.

Title: Why Did I Wait So Long? This Bidet Seat is Amazing!
Review: I'd be happy with the Washlet C5 seat if only for the heated seat feature. But, the water spray and drying air are game changers. Never tried a bidet seat before this purchase, but I'm wishing I had done this years ago. It's fantastic! After we had an electrician add a grounded outlet in the water closet, installation was a breeze. It took me about 20 minutes to remove the old seat, install the Washlet C5, and mount the remote control on the wall. I'm glad this unit comes with the remote control, as I imagine that having the controls mounted on a panel that's attached to the seat would be somewhat awkward to reach. The buttons on the remote are, for the most part, fairly intuitive and easy to use. The installation manual is clear enough, but I found it helpful to watch a short installation video on YouTube before I started. My only disappointment is that the "regular" toilet seats in the other bathrooms now barely seem adequate. Yep, this bidet seat will spoil you, for sure! Highly recommended.

Title: Excellent addition to my bathroom
Review: The TOTO WASHLET C5 is an excellent addition to my bathroom. The solid construction gives it a durable, high-quality feel, and the overall design is clean and modern, blending seamlessly with my bathroom decor. The bidet functions are effective and easy to use, enhancing comfort and hygiene. However, the one downside is that you canât dim the lights at night, which can be a bit bright in a dark bathroom. Despite this minor issue, the features and build quality make it a worthwhile purchase. Highly recommended if youâre looking for a top-tier bidet seat!

Title: Wife likes it
Review: It's easy enough to install, but remember you're gonna need an electrical outlet. The plumbing is simple and required no extra parts. The unit overall is quite large, and looks a little overbearing on our little toilet. That said, the hole into which one has to dangle one's tackle is actually quite small; I'm a small guy (5' 2" and 140lbs), so I fit, but a big guy might not be comfortable.Feature-wise, if anything it has too many. I can't help feeling that something this complicated is going to fail; simpler would have been better. I mean who needs the ability to move the spray back and forwards electronically when you can just lean forwards a little? It always seems to be whirring and doing something. The most annoying thing is that the "I just got up" sensor is on the right side of the seat, so after it's done its thing and you want to reach down there with a bit of paper just to check it did a good job, you lean to the left to get your right hand under taking weight off the right side of the seat and it decides you've gotten up and starts doing it's "the passenger has left the seat" stuff, which it then stops when your cheek returns to the seat. It works, but I'm left wishing it wasn't so darned smart and complicated. I should mention also that it usually runs out of hot water, although it transitions to cold gracefully.Overall it does a reasonable job cleaning; maybe one time in three I need paper to help out. The drier feature though isn't up to much. Just use a few squares of paper for that.

Title: 4th toto. They are liked and nicely done
Review: So, after about 10+ years, had one of the Totos break. Water line area inside the washlet started leaking.Called a plumber authorized on Totos and he suggested calling Toto directly first.I did and they had EXCELLENT customer service BUT that unit is no longer serviced at all and no parts. They suggested another unit and suggested one other than this one, that was cheaper. I didn't like that the controls were attached to the unit and so he suggested this one. Said it was now the closest one to what broke.Got it and uninstalled the other one, and read the instructions on this one for installing. Pretty simple. Hardest part was getting the water line unattached in order to attach the new one.Works well. It's in our secondary bathroom, for my son and upstairs guests.

Review: I'm dealing with an elderly dementia patient and this product make the process so much easier. It's not perfect, but it eliminates a lot of the manual effort and mess. The installation was relatively painless and it all went well the first time, but the centering instructions could be better. The quality of the product is a little cheap for the price; I can see the cheap plastic breaking over time. The outer seat does not appear to open as wide as it should, I can see a heavy person leaning back against this and breaking it. The lid seems to line up with the hinge, so I assume it's installed properly. The remote is well thought out and well made, although I'd like to see an auto routine that runs through a series of preprogrammed steps. Better still a phone app with a camera built into the washing tube, so you can see what you're doing. Ideally, a phone app with AI built in, so Skynet can do a proper job of cleaning your business. I'm only partially kidding about this, just think of the money you could make off the Geeks.Overall I'm happy with the design and build quality of the unit, and remote, other than the chinsy outer cover. In my case, it also covers a real need, and I might enjoy a heat Tushy as well.

Review: Although a bit pricey, it's a great bidet. Warms the water to the temperature you like has all the bells and whistles! My husband installed it in no time. We are very happy with this bidet.
