The name of this bread may sound classic and somewhat modest, but one taste will change your perception — it is truly divine. The raisins are stirred into the dough; then, while the dough rises, the flavor permeate the bread. What an incredible treat!

Comforting apple butter, which is seasoned with cinnamon and cloves, reminds many people of a beautiful autumn day. These easy, no-knead rolls are too delicious to serve just during the fall, and since apple butter and apple cider are available all year long, there is no need to wait.

Many of us have fond memories of Grandma’s sweet potato pie at family celebrations and holidays. In the southern United States this pie replaces pumpkin pie at many a Thanksgiving table. It is usually enjoyed with a dollop of sweetened whipped cream on top.

This is an ideal focaccia bread to serve on Saturday evening when friends come over, since it’s both flavorful and impressive. Everyone can enjoy a slice with a cocktail or a glass of wine.

Who doesn’t smile when they hear “Cherry pie for dessert”? We prefer cherry pies prepared in the cast-iron skillet because it is deeper than a traditional pie plate and can hold extra cherries. Of course, you can always embellish each serving with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

There’s no need to rush to the local grocery or bakery to pick up a cookie cake for a celebration. This recipe comes together in a snap and can be served warm with ice cream, if desired.

Title: The Best Cast Iron Baking Book
Review: I bought this book because of the no knead bread recipes. The directions are easy to follow and prep time does not take a long time. These are breads with yeast and need to sit for 12 to 18 hours and then again for second rise prior to baking 15 to 30 minutes. These recipes would be easy for working families to prepare the night before and have homemade bread with family meals. This book has a lot of recipes that do not have such a long rise time. This book has a lot of tips. You do not have to be an experienced baker to use this book. I am not a person that loves to cook and spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I want straight forward recipes that do not require a lot of prepping time spent in the kitchen prior to cooking. This book looks like something I will use. I do have a Dutch oven and iron skillet. If you do not have cast iron, you can try using the cook ware you have . I think these recipes could be cooked in other types of cook ware.I just googled how to bake when recipes call for Dutch oven and you do not have one. It gives instructions on how to make the bread crusty without a Dutch oven.

Title: Easy recipes that taste great
Review: I’m not a baker so was a little apprehensive when my wife found this book in the library. We started with making the cinnamon raisin biscuit recipe and liked it so much we bought our own copy of the book so we wouldn’t get food spots in the library copy. We’ve since made more of the skillet recipes and bought a 5 quart Dutch oven so we can make the breads. Coincidentally when this request for a book review came in from Amazon I’d just put another batch of the cinnamon raisin biscuits in the oven.

Title: Informative
Review: Reasons why Cast Iron has remained a "Cooks' choice for generations in my family. Discussions explain heating, non-stick, seasoning, cleaning, durability, recipe cook time adjustment. Knowledge that will turn your head towards using Cast Iron, including the energy savings and constant replacement cost of other flimsy pans on the market.

Title: Best Cookbook!
Review: We received this cookbook as a Christmas gift and have already used it twice! Tonight my husband made the chocolate chip cookie recipe, and it was to die for! So rich and decadent. Our two young daughters ate it up, and they are as picky as they come. Anything that can make all of us happy is a winner in my book. I can’t wait to try main course recipes!
