The Black Eyed Peas' sixth album, The Beginning is the follow-up to the group's blockbuster album The E.N.D. Released in June 2009, The E.N.D. has sold more than 11 million copies world¬wide, while spending 52 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 chart. It is also the first album in two decades by a duo or group to yield five Top 10 songs on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, including the No. 1 hits "Boom Boom Pow," "I Gotta Feeling" (which is the best-selling digital song in SoundScan history), and "Imma Be," as well as the Top 10's "Meet Me Halfway" and "Rock That Body." In addition, The E.N.D. was nominated for six 2010 Grammy Awards and won for Best Pop Vocal Album, "Boom Boom Pow" won Best Short Form Music Video and "I Gotta Feeling" won for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.
While the title of The E.N.D. was a play on words (standing for "The Energy Never Dies"), the new album's title, The Beginning, "refers to what is actually happening in the world right now," says will.i.am. "The Beginning is symbolic of adopting new technologies, such as augmented reality, 3D, and 360 video. It's also about being experimental and taking songs we've liked from the past and playing around with sick, crazy beats."
In keeping with that manifesto, the first single from The Beginning is "The Time (Dirty Bit)," which is built around a sample from the classic 1987 theme from Dirty Dancing, ("I've Had) The Time of My Life," recorded by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes. "The song is a celebration of this amazing time in our lives," says vocalist Fergie. "We've been on tour all over the world, and looking out at stadiums full of people who came out to see us -- that's as big as it gets. After the shows, we go out to the clubs and meet the fans; those are moments that we have to remember." "Plus the fact that we get to experience it with each other," adds vocalist apl.de.ap, "that's the best feeling ever."
"You never know what's going to happen, so you want to make the best of every day," says will.i.am. "We wanted to capture that feeling and release a song that celebrates with the fans because it wouldn't have happened without them." This album is the beginning of a new era of Pea world domination -- fasten your seat belts pea-ple enjoy the ride, declares Taboo.
The Black Eyed Peas have shot a video for "The Time (Dirty Bit)," with director Rich Lee, who also lensed the Peas' "Imma Be Rocking That Body" video, as well as clips for Eminem ("Not Afraid"), The All-American Rejects ("The Wind Blows"), Fergie ("Clumsy"), and the Pussycat Dolls ("Hush Hush").
The Beginning will be released in several physical formats - a standard CD, a deluxe CD that includes 3 bonus songs, a full album vinyl and a combo two-disc set of 20 songs that includes The Beginning & The Best of THE E.N.D..
The E.N.D. was The Black Eyed Peas first original music since 2005's Monkey Business, which was certified triple platinum in the U.S., with worldwide sales of more than nine million. Monkey Business generated Grammy Awards over two consecutive years, for "Don't Phunk with My Heart" and "My Humps." The Peas' first Grammy Award came six years ago, for "Let's Get It Started," from their breakthrough 2003 album Elephunk, which introduced Fergie into the lineup, and transformed the group into interna¬tional superstars with cumulative 25x platinum sales in nearly a dozen countries around the world. In 2006, Fergie released her six-million-selling solo debut The Dutchess and 2007 Producer of the Year Grammy-nominee will.i.am released Songs About Girls. Since forming in 1995, The Black Eyed Peas have sold more than 28 million albums worldwide and more than 30.8 million digital tracks. In addition, they have logged more than 300 headline tour dates in 29 countries with more than 2.2 million tickets sold. The group has been nominated for a 2010 American Music Award in the Favorite Band, Duo or Group category.

Title: Know your music and Love your Peas!
Review: Not all music is the same, it's not the intention of the artist. The Black Eyed Peas are the Black Eyed Peas and this album is awesome! This is definitely a club rocker!! If you like to dance, motivate yourself with some good tunes or just jam out in the car then this album will make you very happy. No it's not "The End" it is it's own album with it's own vibe to it. It's HOT!!! As for Autotune, it works for this album also because of the intention and the type of music it is. Don't take what Jay Z said and get confused or misconstrue it!There is absolutely nothing wrong with this album, great songs, great vibe. Play it on a good audio system and you will fall in LOVE! If you have a cheap audio system then I guess you just don't get the album!Keep Jammin' out Black Eyed Peas there are many people out there not writing reviews but loving your music because we understand your intention, idea and just know how to Jam out! As for the haters buy Polka!Listen to it a few times..... You will bob your head!

Title: more from Black Eye Techno Peas
Review: With every bands release, they sound and style tend to change. If you take BYP fist album, and compare it to the new "the beginning". There simply isn't any comparison. They are basically two different genre's. So I'm digging on the new album, although not ground breaking, it sounds like a cleaner version of the last album "the end", which sounded like very experimental, and overuse of production tech. This new product, sounds like they stuck to the old ways of "less is more". They used more sampling is this album on almost every track, and well used I might say, except for the first track "the time" which used a dirty dancing track, it got old quick. On to fun tracks like the Slick Rick sampled "light up the night", and the KC and sunshine band sampled "Love you long time" followed by the VERY electric "Xoxoxo" and "Someday". Fast forward to "Fashion Beats" and "Don't stop the party" which is sure to fill a few dance floors. The rest of the tracks are more of the same. Great album to bounce your head and behind to. Worth the wait and dough.

Title: Not as Good as the The E.N.D...
Review: But don't get me wrong, it's still a really good album. The tracks are fun, the beats are rocking, and they're all good to jam out to in the car. I don't love the tracks as much as their previous CD, though, and I really wish Fergie had been less autotuned this time around. I love it when she belts a good, long note in a song and this time out they put too many effects on her voice for my taste. I've noticed this CD really shows off Will. i. Am; most of the lyrics are given to him and Fergie only has one big ballad (that one being "Whenever.") But if you're a fan or just enjoy a nice, fun CD, I really recommend this one!

Title: The Peas Evolution Of Sound
Review: Dope cool lil album...The best album from The Peas since the terrible "Elewack" album...I feel like their albums have come in twos...Elephunk, Monkey Bizness, then The End, and The Beginning lol.. Anyway back to my review...The End was cool but this album The Beginning took the cake on all of these latest Pea incarnations...Best album since Bridging The Gap...I was fresh outta High School when I was bangin the Joints And Jam classic single from their classic 1st album Behind The Front..in the height of the neo soul era 1998, Bridging The Gap was the good 2nd album 2000 from the original "trio" ...sorry Ferg..Idk wtf happened to this musically talented group..Anyway back to what I mentioned about this album I put my 5 yo daughter up on it...and absolutely loves it! We bang this in my ride alot...I will be introducing more of real hip hop ish to my daughter as she gets older, but this is fun clean healthy anti ratchet music, I highly recommend for kids or teens as a father..I give it 4 Stars...Good job Will Iam...Please make a "Behind The Front" Part 2...Who cares if its indie, original fans will luv it...balance...

Title: Perfect for your CD Jukebox !!
Review: These songs are just plain FUN !! With all the synthesizers synthing away, and the vocals simply dripping in electronic processing, if you're not dancing like a maniac to each & every beat, then you better CHECK YOUR PULSE ! I like this incarnation, because I've got a CD Jukebox, and I hadn't bought The E.N.D. yet, so this was a great way to get the hits from that album whilst finally ponying up for this one. By the way, I've made a nice cover for the Juke-and posted it here-it's got the graphics for both albums in one handy pic, so buy this CD and download the composite picture-load it into your CD jukebox-you're ready to party !

Title: The Beginning is definitely NOT The End
Review: Downloaded the CD yesterday and as much as it hurts to say, I am disappointed. The End Cd was the type you could put on at a party and let it play, The Beginning is totally different. Not one song resembles the mojo of The End. I can't see how they would even mix this new CD with other hits at a concert. Every song on the new CD has futuristic and space-like beats. I'm not regretting the purchase because there are definitely songs that are ok, I just thought I was buying another party filled CD, and a couple of these songs would sadly clear the dance floor. I don't know who in BEP decided to take the group in this direction, but I think the next few weeks sales will show it was the wrong move. Hope I'm wrong 🙁 JJ

Title:
Review: This is probably their best album. They toured heavily on the strength of this album, going to multiple countries, especially in South America where they were doted upon by governments and treated like royalty. The lead singer, Will I Am, is a vegetarian and a very kind man.I always support them by buying their albums. My 3 favorite amazon purchases are:- 9x9x9 Rubic's Cube- True Blue by Madonna- Great Fighter Jets of the Galaxy 1 by Tim Gibson
