Title: Amazing series of books
Review: The subject matter of these books is a traditional one of middle aged teens growing, changing, facing the trials and tribulations of the age group. BUT - that is where the traditional part ends. The setting comes from the imagination of Veronica Roth, who, I believe, really enjoyed writing this series. It is not a light hearted, everything works out well, type of story. Instead, it deals with the reality in that setting where there are both positive and negative outcomes in the various scenarios. Since I do not want to write any spoilers, I will write no more about the books. This is a great read for high school as a class book to read, discuss, write, and expand in many ways. I found the writing a little jagged in places - it does not always flow smoothly. That does not detract from the content and is my opinion.

Title: Another young adult series that is full of action, romance, betrayal, suspense, and plot twists...
Review: This series was great. Itâs another young adult series that is full of action, romance, betrayal, suspense, and plot twists â itâs basically a soap opera. It had a typical young adult storyline â a young teenage heroine makes has a big, life-changing, world-shaking, event happen and she has to then save a corrupted world lead by a corrupted leader. Even though it followed that main YA plot, it still had plenty of plot twists, plenty of unexpected turns, and amazing characters. I could read these novels all day, every day mostly because I love seeing where this sort of plot could lead. Because there are so many of these YA novels, itâs interesting to see where each one could end up because one decision made different conjures up a brand new ending.Anyway, one thing I loved about this series in particular is that there was no love triangle. Yes, I do enjoy love triangles with all their back and forth feelings and fights for love, but sometimes, I just need a break. This series was my break. There was Tris and Four, no in between party trying to break them up. No, there was none of that, and it was glorious. It was great knowing who Tris would end up with, and that gave more time for the plot to heat up.Divergent was my favorite out of the three books. It gave me time to fall in love with the characters, but it stopped before I started to imagine ripping their heads off. It had Four and Trisâs relationship blossom and become real, and it had plenty of the action scenes and plot twists and there was just the perfect amount of everything.Insurgent was a different story. About five chapters into this book, I was screaming internally. It made me scream, cry, laugh, and rage, so that meant it was a really good book. But all Tris does in that book is frustrate you and make bad decisions that cause rifts between her and Four. Needless to say, I was raging plenty during the entirety of that book. So I loved it.Allegiant was a lot. It was my first time reading from Fourâs point of view, and it was confusing at times. It switched between him and Tris almost every chapter, and it was in first person, so I never really knew who I was reading from. Numerous times I had to look back and see whose point of view I was reading from. Other than that small flaw, it was great. The plot twists were giant, completely unexpected, and book-changing. (Thereâs one in particular Iâm thinking about.)I really enjoyed this entire series, and Iâll definitely read it again someday.

Title: Not bad so far.
Review: I'm only about three quarters thru the fist book, but have to admit I'm enjoying it much more than I had expected. As with most books that were adapted to film, the movie cut out some interesting stuff - Saw the first move before reading the book. I'm the kind of person who normally doesn't like to read...unless it is like 2am, then I can't stop reading. The pacing of the story is good, easy read (doesn't jump around, doesn't have clunky "stop and go" feel). Only issue I'm having with it is trying to differentiate between what I've read vs. what I saw in the film... throwing off the timeline. The set is nicely sized (just fits height-wise on the shelf). The slip covers have nice artwork, but the'll have to be removed during reading, they are very loose fitting on the book and the books fall out rather easily.Edit* I'd give it 4 1/2 if it was an option, but it isn't so the stars stay at 5... for now.Okay, so now I'm just about 115 pages into the 3rd book - really enjoyed the 1st and 2nd books...but, I'm not fully enjoying the shift in writing style for the third one (the story is still good), but the author has decided to switch the POV between Tris and Four, basically gives one a chapter, switches to the other for a chapter, back and forth. It makes the flow a little murky at times - if I put the book down for a while before reading again I have to go back and see who's POV it is. Wish Roth would have just stuck with the same style as she did in the previous books. Sure it is nice to "see" what is going on with him as Tris is off doing her thing, but it doesn't have the expected flow and it kinda has a stop and go feel to it.

Title: This Could Be Interpreted as Prophetic of Our Culture !
Review: Veronica Roth's excellent, engrossing, poignant, SciFi, "Divergent Series" is contained in this "Ultimate Four-Book Collection". I ⤠VR's realistic, complex characters, in these ð, I ⤠the constant contrast of opposites presented (i.e. young vs mature, good vs evil, unselfish vs monstrous behaviors, fear vs safety, friend vs enemy, courage vs cowardice, silence vs noise, honesty vs deceit, hatred vs love, control what you think vs control how you act, etc...).What I really found so fascinating, was how these stories set in post apocalyptic Metropolitan Chicago, were prophetic of the U.S. since 2020! "Faction before Family", describes what Woke-ism/Cancel Culture has tied to impose on everyone.I Highly Recommend You ð this Series! ðing my Second time through, was just as Awesome, as my 1st time through.
