Title: Beautiful finish with good coverage
Review: My skin is a little older now, and the loose powder mineral foundation I used for years that I applied with a kabuki brush just didn't look good at all anymore. I needed something with a little better coverage but that wouldn't look cakey or settle in fine lines. This foundation has been perfect for that. I can build the level of coverage I want with the sponge applicator (just note that you're not going to be able to get into tight areas with it) & the finish looks natural, fresh & dewy right from the start & lasts all day. I swear it makes me look at least 5 years younger!The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars has to do with color consistency. The full-size compact wasn't available in this color when I ordered, so I got this travel size to try it out & I couldn't have been happier with the result. A couple of weeks later when my sister asked if I wanted the full-size compact she had in this color because she said it looked orange on her (there is a little bit of difference in our complexions so I didn't think anything of it), I said of course! But it looked orange on me too. I used the travel size again the next day - not orange. So while this is a really great product in terms of finish & coverage, they seem to have some issues to iron out with color consistency.

Review: I'm almost 60/F, some wrinkles and a fair amount of discoloration, red spots, and sun damage, esp. on cheeks.This foundation (baked balance and brighten, color FAIR) is really easy to use. Feels like nothing, even when building. I used only basic, soft, fluffy brushes I had on hand; they worked well for light coverage, but I do think a denser brush option - like a retracting kabuki, as recommended - might work better for building.Very good coverage on bare skin (moisturizar only), pracrically perfect over an inexpensive primer. Almost all my flaws disappeared, even without concealer.Did not settle in wrinkles, either. I FEEL PRET-TY, OH-SO PRET-TY!...or, at least, "not bad for an old broad, not at all!".I do find that using primer is better over large pores and significant discoloration, such as have I. I used a budget brand with spf 30 and the foundation went on perfectly.It's FAST, too. The longest part if the process is waiting for the primer to dry, maybe 1-3 minutes.Found it difficult to shade match - but to be fair: When is it *not* difficult?Would be a very nice thing if Laura Geller Beauty offered an inexpensive "sampler" (say, $5.00 for just enough product for 1/2 face in two adjacent shades) to help in this process.I tried "PORCELAIN" first, but it was just a tad too light. The model wearing "FAIR" looks like an olive tone to me, whereas (I think?) I'm more peachy, like the "LIGHT" model - but I'm super pale...but ... but.. hem ..haw..Seems really wasteful to open, use once and return a full product to try a color that isn't quite right, as I have. "Samplers" would really help reduce the volume of product returns, not to mention reduce waste and carbon footprints - just sayin'.Step up,😀Laura Geller. Make the planet as beautiful as you have me!

Review: After using the same foundation for the past 10 years, it was time for a change. The foundation I used in my 40’s no longer looked good in my 50’s and sat in my fine lines or made my skin look caked & dry.I’d done lots of research into different brands and it was a choice between Jones Road or Laura Geller. After watching a lot of videos, reviews & tutorials decided to give LG a go as it was less expensive.I’ve always brought make up in store but was reassured by their free returns/exchange policy incase the shade wasn’t right.I also liked the fact that they were Cruelty Free - something that was important to me but not immediately obvious on their website, I had to do some research to find this out (Laura Geller you’re missing a trick here!)I was pleased with the packaging and how the product looked but was really impressed with how the actual product worked for me.I’ve found dabbing a little on at a time with a big brush helps build the coverage to your liking. It definitely doesn’t sit in my fine lines and doesn’t look cakey. You can achieve a natural look easily and it’s long lasting. It definitely covers the redness on my nose & cheeks.I’ve been so impressed with this I ordered the next shade down too as my skin colour changes in winter in the UK when I lose my tan.I also ordered the Baker Starter Kit direct from LG in the USA as the discount was better. I’ve been beyond impressed with this. As a blonde with pinky tones, the colour choices are perfect and the products stay put. I’ve never been able to blend eyeshadow effectively but this colour combo and product makes me look like a pro!!So, a big YES for Laura Geller from the UK for me, great value for money and great products which are easy to use and compliment mature skin beautifully!
