Starting a new life in Snowdonia was always DI Ruth Hunter's dream. Until a twisted killer turned it into her worst nightmare.

Detective Inspector Ruth Hunter lives with the pain of her partner’s mysterious and unsolved disappearance. About to hit fifty, the veteran police officer trades in the crime-ridden streets of London for a more peaceful life in rural North Wales. But Ruth has barely settled into her new position in North Wales Police, when the body of a brutally murdered woman is discovered…with strange symbols carved into her skin. Teaming up with an obstinate deputy, Ruth struggles to eliminate anyone from a long line of suspects. When another slain victim is discovered with the same cryptic markings, she’s forced to re-think the investigation.

Has Ruth got what it takes to solve the case before the murderer attacks again?

The Snowdonia Killings is the first book in the DI Ruth Hunter Crime Thriller series which has sold over 2 million copies.
If you like dark police procedurals, psychologically complex characters, and shocking twists, then you’ll love Simon McCleave’s pulse-pounding debut novel.

While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I did not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing this book. While I receive free books from publishers & authors, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one.A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written Crime Thriller book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great Crime Thriller movie, or better yet a mini TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is a very easy rating of 5 stars.Thank you for the free author (s); Stamford Publishing; BookFunnel; Author; PDF; bookTony Parsons MSW (Washburn)

Title: An interesting first police mystery story
Review: i was very thoughtful before i buy this book. The first reason i bought was the cover .When i read the first pages i was hooked with in-depth analyzed characters . But i think that this book have a negative issue also .There is a lot of police procedures themes and when i bought it at first was thinking that the murders have made from a cult or something like that . The final verdict who have madε the murders had me by surprise because i didn't expect this ending . the story has a lot of interviews and a lot of people who interviewed and all this is a little bit frustrating . four stars . Perhaps i will continue the series .

Title: I Saw ur Coming
Review: I do not try to figure out who the murderer is in the mysteries I read, but in this case it became obvious. The story is cluttered with suspects and flawed detectives, but at least they are likable. The ongoing story arc of Ruth‘s missing girlfriend is a secondary plot, that no doubt will be dragged out over one or more additional books. At least the writing style was good enough to cause me to keep reading and turning the pages. As a first effort and entry in this series, I thought the book was fair.

Title: Great setting in Wales, compelling main characters and exciting mystery
Review: There is a lot to love about Snowdonia, and it is a very good first-in-series mystery. The North Wales setting is perfect and the book gives the reader glimpses of Wales landscapes, culture and history. It also exposes you to the weather which can be challenging. The book has complicated murder mysteries but also delves into the lives and problems of the main detectives which fleshes the characters out well. The main characters, DI Ruth, moves to Wales for a quieter life but soon gets thrown into the deep end with murders. The fact that she is English puts her up against prejudices from the local population, as well as a language barrier. I like that she is strong and resilient and handles her transition to a new team well. I look forward to continuing with other books in the series and following up on the characters. The only reason I rated it 4 stars and not 5 was that I felt that there were too many probable suspects and the team chased too many of them that they felt for sure were the killers, only to go down another rabbit hole. There were a few details left unresolved in the end, but there was a good mix of forensics and character-driven mystery here. Good job.

Review: Good storyline and characters. However quite a few spelling and grammar mistakes in the book. Several times it felt like it was Yoda speaking! This was annoying but didn't detract from a good read. Want to know more about the characters so will buy more in this series
