Title: Almost returned these
Review: I purchased my first set of this specific brand thru a different retailer when they were on sale. They worked so well I had to order refills almost immediately and then bought two more of these devices from Amazon. When I initially set up the devices, I waited 24 hours to see if they caught anything. The sticky pads were completely clean. I filed a return request and then packed one up. I moved the other device to a different room, just in the hopes that maybe, MAYBE it'd catch something there. And boy did it. Holy smokes. The other one caught so many flies it looked like the sticky pad had been dipped into a jar of flies (where my Alice in Chains fans at? lol. But seriously...). I cancelled the return request, unpacked the second device and moved it into different room than where I had placed it previously, where it ended up working very well too. Here's some advice if you're not having luck with these:1) Place the device in a room where it won't be competing with other light sources, especially sunlight. For instance, there're no windows in my bathrooms, neither one gets very much light from any nearby windows, and it is absolutely comical how many flies the devices catch in there. When I initially set them out, they were in my kitchen, which is open to the living room with a large window in it, so they both receive a lot of light for nearly 2/3rds of the day, so these devices did not catch anything there.2) To really be effective against fruit flies, take away competing temptations such as food and places to lay eggs. And I do mean FORGET the finicky home made vinegar traps that seem to trap only a few, less evolved flies dumb enough to try to land directly on the liquid, and just feeds the rest (who thank you, btw). If it's possible for you, store fruits and veggies that you might typically keep out on your counter or wherever in your fridge until the population has been reduced. If you are able, only throw "dry" trash away in your trash bins (non-food related paper type stuff), and throw "wet" trash such as food discards and wet paper towels into smaller grocery bags (maybe double bag it tho) and place that bag in the refrigerator or freezer, somewhere where it's not coming into contact with food and beverages, until you're ready to put it outside your home to be collected. And if you're wondering what to do for areas that do have competing light sources, personally I use the SafeHome uv type devices and they work very well where the STEM ones don't. Or, get yourself a nice fly swatter, wait for them to congregate on a window or a large white surface during daylight hours and then smack the crap out of 'em. You'll of course need some glass cleaner and newspaper or other wipes to clean the surface afterward, but such is the price of fruit fly war.I hope this helps!

Title: Fairly effective
Review: Bought it to deal with fruit flies in my kitchen. At first, it didnât seem to be working at all and the sticky panel was empty. After about a week or so of leaving it on 24/7, I started to notice some âcatchesâ. Not 100% effective but itâs helping to cut down on the number of these little pests. Seems to only work if the immediate surrounding area is not too brightly lit up.

Title: VERY Sticky
Review: I was dealing with drain flies BAD and I was treating the drains and killing them as I saw them but felt like at night they would congregate and multiply. I put one of these next to every sink and after just a couple of days it was slap full! Theyâre amazing. Also caught some regular house flies and moths as well!

Title: Doing some work
Review: Has this fixed my drain fly infestation? No. Has it helped? Yes. As I saw in some other reviews, it is at least in part about positioning. The first few days I had this running, it really didn't catch much, even though I thought it was in a place the flies frequented. I've since moved it to a few different places around the place with much more success. If I weren't moving soon, I'd buy another one to have two constantly going in the worst areas.I wish it came with more sticky pads. Two seems like an afterthought. Also, the official refills are a bit pricy. I found some knock-off ones that were much cheaper and work pretty well.

Title: Not impressed
Review: Tried this in several places in my home and it really just doesn't work. There's hardly any bugs attracted to it at all and when I went to clean out the glue trap to replace it after a month there was only three bugs on it so obviously they're not attracted to it

Title: Effective and Safe Solution for Fruit Fly Infestations
Review: The STEM Light Trap Refill Cartridges are a lifesaver for anyone dealing with a fruit fly infestation! After a recent infestation after getting back from holiday, I was desperate for a solution, and these worked like a charm to help knock them out!Effectiveness (5/5):The refill cartridges do an excellent job of attracting and trapping fruit flies in my kitchen. Within hours of installing a fresh cartridge, I noticed a significant reduction in the number of flies. Over the course of a few days, the trap managed to catch most of the remaining flies in my kitchen, providing much-needed relief.Ease of Use (5/5):Replacing the cartridge is straightforward and quick. Just peel off the stickers and you're good to go! The design is user-friendly, and it fits perfectly into the trap without any hassle. Itâs also a mess-free process, which is always appreciated.Longevity (4/5):The cartridges last for a decent amount of time, I had it in my kitchen for a week and needed to replace. But if I did not have that infestation then the cartridges would've lasted longer.Safety & Environmentally Friendly (5/5):One of the standout features is that these cartridges are chemical-free and safe to use around food, pets, and kids. This peace of mind is invaluable, especially in a kitchen setting.Overall Rating: 4.5/5If you're struggling with fruit flies after an infestation, the STEM Light Trap Refill Cartridges are a highly effective, easy-to-use solution that you can trust. They're a bit of an investment, but the peace of mind and pest-free environment are well worth it.

Title:
Review: First and last time I believe commercials. Paid 60+ Canadian just for the product to be useless. If I wanted a blue nightlight I wouldâve bought one for much cheaper. I have this plugged in above my garbage compost since the fruit flies are there the most. Itâs been a week and not one fly has been caught in the sticky trap. Iâve turned off all lights to see if Iâll make a difference, NOPE. Save your money.
