Title: Great Resource for Diabetes Prevention and Management
Review: This book provides great recipes and resources for anyone who is pre-diabetic or diabetic. It doesnât talk about dieting. Although it talks about foods to avoid, it also talks about how you can continue to eat things you like in moderation, using substitutions, or trying other great recipes. The list of additional resources at the end were also very helpful.

Title: Tasty easy to follow healthful recipes!
Review: Loved the easy healthy recipes. Yes, veges CAN taste good. I recommend it for non-prediabetics also. I bought it to cook for my pre-diabetic brother-in-law and just ordered a copy for myself today!

Title: The more you know the better it gets
Review: I bought this book because my doctor at the time said I was pre-diabetic. Well that scared me straight to stop eating candy and apple pie . I was on a binge that month so when I went back I was not on the border line page. so just to be on the safe side I needed to know more this is mainly a cook book a thick one at that. It does have some basic information on how to read food labels, figure out carbohydrate and sugar grams, explains cholesterol, and fiber and whole grains etc.

Title: preventative cookbook
Review: after the shock of being diagnosed as pre diabetic, this book was a life saver both mentally and physically. I could eat a lot of foods that I thought would be forbidden. recipe directions are straight forward therefore basically quick to put together. I will be using this book a lot!

Title: Incorrect Nutrition Values
Review: Bummer--the nutrition values above the recipes seem to be incorrect. I was all excited to try the sweet potato pancakes mentioned on the cover, only to gasp at the 287g of carbs listed in the nutrition information. Using My Fitness Pal data, I added the carbs for all the ingredients and divided by 4 (there are 4 servings) and learned that it should be 31g of carbs per serving instead. That's more like it! Now I can try the recipe, but have no confidence in the nutrition information in the rest of the book. Isn't that why one would buy it--to calculate what is appropriate to eat each day? It's by fudging my data that I've sneaked into pre diabetic status in the first place!

Title: It isn't what I thought it would be. Too ...
Review: It isn't what I thought it would be. Too much preparation and a lot of what my husband would not eat. Also some of the ingredients are items I do not have in my house or would buy.

Review: I'm still going through the book, so it's early days to comment on the recipes (most look yummy though), but there are NO pictures of the food at all. I don't know about you, but I wasn't expecting a black and white book of recipient without any preview shots of what the dishes will look like. For me that's a huge negative 🙁
