Title: Awesome price for all the features
Review: I love this phone for my spare line I have. I will go over all the cons first, then the pros. I don't like some of the apps they installed (also known as bloatware) and forced ads I have to watch to use them, & almost all of them I can't delete, only force stop them. There isn't a huge amount of them, but some. I would not mind the bloatware in the phone as long as I can get rid of what I don't want, which isn't the case as they locked them. This is nonsense & although many companies do this practice it's always a negative. Instead of having the fingerprint on the touch screen it's on the power button on this phone. Due to it's very narrow width it's flaky at best to get it to read your fingerprint where it's mostly useless as it is much quicker just to enter your passcode. Also if you press to hard since it's also the power button trying to read your print it will put the screen out on you. This overall is a bad idea. Although the auto adaptive brightness is on by default I noticed it is brighter than desired so I have to manually adjust it frequently, but this is a matter of preference for me. The google widget is locked to it's position on home screen & totally unmovable or removable which is extremely irritating to me as I don't want it. It is frustrating that they lock stuff in this manner. Please let me be very clear I am not throwing this phone under the bus here, but rather pointing out some extremely important things that Umidigi needs to be aware of. The improvements made from the knowledge of these things we consumers aren't happy with is important for them. Now, lets get to the pros of this phone. Storage is awesome with 128G internal and expandable micro SD slot for even more, and the 6 gig of ram is very nice. Price for this phone for it's features is great! 50 megapixel camera does a very nice job, even has a macro that works well, and in the included photo you can see very good depth of field focus from foreground all the way to the back ground. Although I haven't done a lot of photo play with this yet I can assure all of you it's very good for it's price point. I done a couple of tests of game play (see photos) & although not a light speed device it does well. Normal use of apps, scrolling & pulling up web pages is very fast so it's great for me. Comes complete with screen protector & case already to go, but I will say the case is minimal for any protection for the phone as it is pretty thin & more plastic like & very little grip to your hand if your hands are dry, but fits perfectly so to be included is very cool! All settings work pretty well & although Android 14 like my other phone it is different in the user interface in some things that can get one a little out of whack to find some things shall we say. Power/volume up/down are on the right and work great with the case, & it also has a hotkey button on the left you can assign something specific to which is very nice. Love the 3.5mm jack plus the fact it's on the top of the phone. Just a personal preference but it's always in my way if it were to be on bottom of the phone in my opinion. Many phones now don't have that capability so it's a plus in my mind. Sound is very adequate also for it's speaker & ok for me. I plugged it in to power before I even turned it on for the first time and it had 100% battery in the phone. I installed my sim card and micro SD card before first power on & it took off perfectly & google easily took care of loading all of my apps from other phone doing the type C to type C phone to phone connection. Included also is a 15W charger W/type C to type C cable so you will have cable out of the box needed for transferring files to it from old phone. Very thoughtful of them to do this. Being totally unlocked for any carrier is a huge plus for sure, but just a word of note my Boost sim W/AT&T service cranked up and worked like a champ. Screen resolution quality & size is awesome! There are also some themes installed that are very nice too, & there are 6 of them. If you are in the market for a very good 5G phone with a lot of goodies/features for it's price then grab you one of these phones. I do highly recommend it!

Title: Doesn't Work On Verizon or AT&T
Review: Really great phone for the price. I broke the screen on my Pixel 6 and while waiting for a replacement I bought this phone to have as a backup. Everything set up as normal and showed connection to Verizon 4G LTE. But I could not make or receive calls or SMS messages. I could use data fine though. Apparently all the major carriers have a whitelist of phones they allow on their network and this isn't one of them. I read other reviews where they mentioned that it wouldn't work on AT&T. So beware that even though the frequencies and bands are good, your provider might just block the phone. The phone is relatively fast, screen is great, camera is really good and having the dual sim/sd card ability is great.

Title: Attractive, Light, Well-Equipped Smartphone
Review: What attracted me to this phone:- Android 14 installed (my current phone runs Android 12 and has not been updated for almost 2 years)- It is a lightweight phone at around 200 grams, compared to my current phone which is about 50% heavier.- Good cell radio coverage. This feature makes this phone great for travelling.- Attractive appearance. The phone comes with a 20W USB-C charger, a cable, a manual, a SIM holder removal tool, and a protective case. I like the phone appearance. For instance, the rear light and camera cluster is reminiscent of other, more expensive phones. At 7.9mm, I find the device quite slender, and at 190g, the phone is very light. The 6.75" IPS LCD display runs at 90 Hz and provides about an 85% screen-to-body ratio. The camera is good. I was able to take good to very good quality pictures with the 50MP, f/1.8 main camera (see the dog picture). I like the inclusion of a macro camera, even though its short focal range makes it quite tricky to use. This phone has an FM radio with a built-in antenna, so you don't need to plug in earbuds to use the radio. The main speaker for the phone is located at the bottom right side of the phone. Sound production is loud enough (it seems louder than my current phone) and clear.I like the dual nano-SIM (or 1 nano-SIM and 1 microSD card). The multiple 2G,3G, 4G and 5G bands means that this phone works with the different carriers in Canada, and most carriers elsewhere in the world. I have used my phone (which has similar bands) in Norway, and other parts of Europe, the Caribbean, and the USA and had no problems getting cell data coverage (3G, 4G, and 5G).Another thing I like about this phone is that it comes with Android 14 installed. A key feature of Android 14 is better battery life. I found that the G9 5G provides excellent battery life. From 100% charge, after 3 days of medium to heavy use, the battery level was down to 40%. The provided 20W charger and cable delivered 16W of power to the phone. The 6gb (expandable to 12gb using RAM emulation in ROM) allowed me to use the phone with a few apps open at a time with ease. The Unisoc T765 has adequate performance, but it is not a power house. One thing to note is that Umidigi phones, like many other budget Chinese phones, typically have limited software updates, with most occurring in the first year of ownership.Having owned the phone for a week, I did not receive any software updates. I did check every day for updates because of a few software bugs I found with the phone. One bug was with the camera app. The app shows three selectable zoom buttons (1x, 2x, 3x). The 3x zoom when selected reverts to a 1x zoom. I also found the number of picture size selections quite limited (4:3, Full screen, and 1:1(?)). Fortunately, I was able to install other camera apps from Google Play Store which provided a higher level of functionality using this phone's cameras.Another bug has to do with sound output when there is a Bluetooth connection. I found that the FM radio would only play through the phone speaker or earbuds, even though I had my Bluetooth headphone connected! This happened, even though other apps: YouTube, Internet radio, and podcast apps, properly sent the audio output to the Bluetooth output device when connected. While I found these software bugs annoying, I still think this phone provides a lot of bang for the buck, in a very attractive package. It is well-suited for those who like having worldwide bands available on their phones (i.e. those who travel internationally for business or pleasure), and who might want to use an international SIM in the extra SIM slot. I think this phone offers good value.

Title: Absolutely useless.
Review: Let's see...where should I start? Screen timeout doesn't work. Notifications not coming through. Do not disturb is nonfunctional. Can't use the speaker function during a call because of the infernal popping and clicking noises that the people on the other end hear. I found that out during an important business call. TONS of bloatware that can't be uninstalled or disabled. Bluetooth functionality is hit and miss. Also, the second I inserted my SIM I received a text from T-Mobile that the phone is only "partially compatible".

With heavy usage, I find that it easily lasts a full day, and the fast charging feature gets me back up and running quickly. The design of the Umidigi G9 is sleek and modern, and it feels great in hand.
