How Long Does One Foton Wick Last?

You should get up to 12 hours of burn time per wick (we provide 30 with each candle). This is the most common mistake leading to shorter burn time!When you remove the wick and melt pool to refresh your candle, you also remove the scent. This means you can give your candle pearls a different scent every time you light them! Are Foton pearled candles scented?

Our white pearls come in a variety of scents, our colored versions are unscented but fully customizable with your own essential oils! Just add a few drops of fragrance oil on top of the pearls close to the wick before lighting it to give it a scent.

What's the burn time? / How long do they last?

Foton Pearls burn slower than most candles and last up to 120 hours. Total burn time depends on how it's used - do you relight the same wick or replace it? How long do you burn it before refreshing it? Are you using 1 or multiple wicks at a time?

Do I have to use a new wick every time?

No, but you can if you want! Each wick can burn around 12 hours total and you're welcome to relight it as many times as you'd like until it runs out. That said, we provide 30 wicks with every 18oz Foton Candle so you could refresh it often!

How strong are the scents?

Our candles are designed for large centerpieces, often on dining tables. For this reason, we aim to provide a mild to medium scent profile that is not overwhelming. If you’re looking for a strong scented candle, Foton is likely not right for you.

What are the ingredients? Are they pet-friendly?

Our pearls are made from highly purified and certified sustainable plant-based wax, burning cleanly with minimal smoke or soot. Our products do not contain paraffin, phthalates, parabens, or any known allergens. They're pet & even bird friendly!

Title: Fun, easy, versatile, and edgy!
Review: So far, I love these candle alternatives. They look great, and they're super easy to assemble, in just seconds, and light right up. I considered docking a star because they are so pricey, but decided to wait and see how many hours of burn time I get out of these wicks and how the "pearls" hold up over time. The pearls are very fine-grained, so I've been blowing out the flames very gently to avoid scattering the pearls. It was a little challenging to get the pearls to lay smoothly across this wide container - I used a flat-ended spatula and exercised patience. Overall, really like these - hope they last the test of time, if they do, I'll be buying more as gifts.

Review: The good:The candle is really neat. I like how you can put it in any vessel. They give you multiple wicks, and each wick lasts a pretty long time -- more than an hour, but I didn't time it exactly.The reason I gave it 4 stars:1) The box if very sleek and modern, but there was an issue with mine. When I tried to separate the box, the bottom came unglued and the beads started falling all over the floor. Luckily I only lost a little bit. The beads are not in a plastic bag or anything to contain them, so just be careful when opening it.2) The beads are tiny. It's almost like the texture of sand. And if it spills, it will get all over the place. Make sure if you leave them out, that nothing will knock it them because the beads will get everywhere.Neither of those two warnings are deal breakers, just more a "hey be aware so this doesn't happen to you."Overall, I really like these and plan on buying more.
