Title: Worked fine but required a Hack
Review: I bought this with the intent of using it with a low, wide pot, but the metal clip it comes with is useless, and the thermometer basically just fell sideways. I thought of returning it, but searched the internet and found a 'hack", and purchased the following silicone clip:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089KSFY8PWith that attached to the pot, the thermometer works wonderfully, and I can read the temp good enough (would be nicer if the readout was brighter). Temperature seems accurate, compared to similar probes that I own.I highly recommend the clip, which comes with several different-sized slots for different probe thicknesses.

Title: Awful-expensive-doesn't work
Review: I despise this thermometer. Never has worked. The first time I used it it started dropping temp. Put in new battery. Now I turn it on hold it up, not even in a pot and it starts going up with temp. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Title: Won’t stay on consistently.
Review: Bought this to replace a Taylor digital thermometer I had for 2-3 years. Will be buying something different as I can’t get this to work consistently. It comes on, but the automatic off feature keeps kicking in, sometimes very randomly, which is super annoying. It’s apparently supposed to turn off if no change in temp is detected for a predetermined length of time, but mine turns off no matter what the temp is doing. I’ve read a lot of complaints about this feature so evidently, it’s not yet been perfected. The other issue is the cheap metal clip. It will not hold the thermometer on the pot and falls off with the least provocation. In the picture you can see I took the clip from the old thermometer and put it on this one - which worked great. The new clip is the flimsy one-piece pincher on the left and the much more substantial old clip is on the right. They took a good product and made it crappy. Do not recommend this product.

Title: Temp works, but head is floppy
Review: I have used this thermometer for several years. The head totally came off my last one after about a year of regular use. I liked it so much I purchased another to replace it. It works well as far as reading the temp. Unfortunately, the head (the rectangle area where you read the temp) flops around and will not stay in a set position.
