Title: Thermometers
Review: just love these digital thermometers easy to read flexible heads to move up and down at any angle, regardless of the light. Very stable and durable accuracy has always been spot on, and the quality of these thermometers has always impressed me ready to use when they come out of the box after you pull the tab from the battery, they came with the extra battery in the package, which is very nice. Definitely good value for the money.

Title: Worthwhile Purchase
Review: I received this and my first use was to fry chicken. It worked well, kept me informed of the oil temperature accurately. The one thing I found that I did not like is that after approximately 10 minutes, maybe less, the thermometer automatically turned off. Luckily, I was paying attention to my chicken because, you know, hot oil ðI also found that I need to play around with the clip it comes with to figuring out depth placement. I shallow fried and it was challenging to keep the tip from touching the bottom of my skillet, which would have given an inaccurate temperature reading. Otherwise, a decent digital thermometer for the price.

Title: Fast, reliable, versatile.
Review: Love this thermometer. Easy to use, reliable, quick. Clips on to the pan so you donât lose it in the oil or whatever you are cooking. Super easy to clean and store. Very versatile- I use it for candy, deep frying and cooking meat and it gives a temperature almost instantly. Great!

Title: Don't buy!
Review: Don't waste your money. I bought this for home brew. It's a piece of garbage. The clip is not strong enough to hold it tight to the side of a pot.The temperature readings are usually at least 3°F off usually. The temp readings also can go up and down when they shouldn't. There's no reason why a well-stirred pot of water/soup/wort should go from 160°F to 180°F and then back to 160°F in just a few seconds.

Title: almost perfect for candy making
Review: The only feature I don't care for is that it turns off after a few minutes even when you are actively using it to get to temperature/

Title: No Good for Brewing Beer
Review: First of all the thermometer worked fine for indicating temperature. I did not do any comparison with a known-good thermometer for accuracy. My problems resulted from the lousy-cheap clip that is supposed to keep the thermomenter upright. The clip just is not adequate for any versatile use and can only secure the thermometer to something very thin. When I ordered it, I failed to notice that this thermometer is not waterproof -- my bad. When I tried to secure it to the side of my brew kettle, the thermometer would not stay in place for very long. Sure enough, it fell into the wort and the thermometer drowned itself on the first use. I guess it would be OK if you are willing to hold it in place long enough to take readings. But I learned my lesson and will replace it with a mechanical version that is waterproof.
