Title: The first dash camera I hated 🙂
Review: Now this is my first review on minolta, even though weâve used the products for years. Considering the usual price of the camera, I had high hopes for it. The first month, the camera was amazing, the video quality was super nice. The only gripe I had was the adhesion of the camera to the window. It always would fall. No matter what. Now typically I leave my dash cameras in my window while Iâm at work, just in case anybody hits it while Iâm inside. I did this for probably about 2 weeks. It was not particularly hot, maybe 70s-80s since it was about late April. I came out to my car and the image posted, is what I saw when I got into my car. I still tried to give benefit of the doubt; my mother has this camera as well and never had this happen. She had an extra backup of this camera I could use. So I assumed it was a one-off event. There was an event where I left the new camera up again on accident and while the camera was fine, the actual cord to plug into the camera literally melted. Now I will talk about the end of THE NEW CAMERA today. I learned my lesson before; I stopped leaving the camera up at work, always taking it inside with me at work. Now today I got into my car, took down my visor and it is around 90s today so definitely hot, but I didnât think much of it. The put the camera up and hung out at work to rest for about 20 minutes and the camera unstuck itself and fell. I didnât move immediately because Iâm extremely used to it at this point. But when I did go to reach the camera so I could start driving, I discovered that in the 20 minutes the camera was up, It had melted AGAIN. I cannot express this clearly enough, I brought this camera when it was $60. My mother got it when it was higher. I donât think EITHER PRICE is worth that. For the price of both cameras we could have got one actual solid one for over $100. Of course the return date has passed, so now Iâm stuck with two products I canât feel safe using in a heat wave. Please, learn from my mistakes. Do not buy this camera.

Title: Does what I bought it for.
Review: Things that arenât so good, but are not necessarily a deal breaker:No quick release from the suction mount â itâs not fun to change settings with it in place for use.The menu system is confusing. The headlight warning (headlights are off when in fact theyâre on). You can turn this off.The power cord is fairly thick and may not tuck into small crevices. What you may want to know thatâs not in the instructions:It takes sequential videos that default to 3 minutes. This can be changed to 1 or 5 minutes. The 16gB card that comes with it will hold a bit over 90 minutes before overwriting the oldest of the videos. The max card that can be used is 64gB â about 6 hours of video before it starts overwriting older files.I advise getting two 64 gig chips. If you have need to save a video, turn the cam off and take the chip out, replacing it with one that you donât need to save video from. They say you can lock a video so it wonât be overwritten, but itâs not clear if that means ALL videos out just the most recent. You can turn off the audio so it wonât record. And you can set the cam to record with a higher dynamic range. I did both of those.Hope this is helpful!

Title: Got this for Christmas 2022
Review: This is a pretty good dash cam, and the quality is great. Only complaints are is that it doesnât have an app to view the footage from your phone, and I do have to adjust it frequently due to it moving around while Iâm driving.
