Lodge 10.25-Inch Seasoned Cast Iron Dual Handle Pan is a new spin on a classic design. Perfect for everyday cooking, from morning pancakes to roasted chicken dinners. Cast iron cookware is unparalleled in heat retention and even heating. Seasoned with oil for a natural, easy-release finish that improves with use, this pan is the right tool to sear, saute, bake, broil, braise, fry or grill. At home in the oven, on the stove, on the grill or over the campfire - plus great for induction cooktops. Easy care: hand wash, dry, rub with cooking oil. The Lodge seasoned cast iron cover (L8IC3) and tempered glass cover (GL10) fit this skillet (sold separately).
YOUR NEW GO-TO PAN: Lodge cast iron cookware is the perfect kitchen tool for beginners, home cooks and chefs. Cast iron can handle any kitchen cooktop, oven, grill, and open flame. Crafted in America with iron and oil, its naturally seasoned cooking surface creates an easy-release and improves with use.
SEASONED COOKWARE: Seasoning is simply oil baked into the iron, giving it a natural, easy-release finish and helps prevent your pan from rusting. Lodge pre-seasons all cast iron cookware with 100% natural vegetable oil: no synthetic coatings or chemicals. The more you use Lodge the better the seasoning will get!
RUST? DON’T PANIC! IT’S NOT BROKEN: When your pan arrives you may notice a spot that looks like rust. It is simply oil that has not fully carbonized. With regular use and care the spot will disappear. If you do notice rust simply scour the affected area with steel wool, wash with warm water, dry completely, and rub with vegetable oil.
COOKING VERSATILITY: Our skillets have unparalleled heat retention that gives you edge-to-edge even cooking every time you use your skillet. Cast iron cookware is slow to heat up but retains heat longer which makes cast iron ideal for pan-frying and roasting, these delicious moments are cast to last.

Title: LOVE THIS PAN
Review: Perfect size, cooks food beautifully, easy to clean and just what I needed. I love to cook filet mignon in it, comes out perfect every time. Love the sear it give my steak. Can't go wrong with Lodge cast iron. I bought the pre-seasoned pan which is great. After each use, I wash it and apply a small amount of vegetable oil to the pan and it's ready for the next delicious meal.

Title: Good products
Review: Most of my cast iron cookware is Lodge. Its easy to break them in and season them. Not bad first use not doing anything to it.But it does get better with use.The price isn't bad and the quality is great.Cast iron on a camp fire is a pleasure to cook with and it will soon be used for that. All said it is just what I would expect from a good pan.

Title: Love, love, love this cast iron pan!
Review: I bought this pan to go from stove top to a small convection oven. (sear and then bake) The small handles not only make the pan fit into my little oven, but they make it easier for me to lift -- which has been a HUGE bonus.I've been using cast iron skillets exclusively until a few years ago. Weak, aging wrist issues made the heavy pans difficult to lift. But with these handles, one on each side, I am able to pick up the skillet to move it or even drain off excess grease with ease. I just make sure I use two potholders so I don't burn myself.

Title: very versatile (lid recommended), good for cooking steak and toasting bagel
Review: In another review, I complained about the packaging of this product when I received it a few days ago. Today Lodge gave me a satisfactory explanation in an email.I never had any experience with iron cast cookware before. But this does not create any difficulty in putting this skillet into good uses. I have cooked Costco steaks with it, and the result is excellent, better than most of the restaurant steaks I had before. The cooking process is very simple. Since I have done proper pre-seasoning, wiping the pan with kitchen paper is sufficient to clean the pan. No rinsing is required. Economically speaking this saves your expenses for steak restaurant right away.I have wanted to buy a toaster for toast and bagel but to be honest felt quite hesitant because minimalism is the principle of possession I hold now. It turns out that this skillet toasts bagel better than toast oven. Moreover, the cheese molten over the bagel taste so good.Next thing I want to try is to cook congee in a slow simmering manner. This skillet is likely ready for that, but I will put this task off until more steak sessions are carried out to give it a few more fat-coating cycles. Or perhaps I would just be reckless and do it anyway :-)The experience I got from using this skillet convinces to go for another Lodge: Dutch oven to compensate the shallower skillet.Notes: 1. preyseansonging it with flaxseed oil in the oven. 2. lid is highly recommended because it allows the steak to cool down so well. 3. 10 1/4" diameter is an excellent size for cooking for one or two.

Title: Great for a single person!
Review: I’ve only had this for a couple weeks and was originally nervous because cast iron smokes up quite a bit, which I want to avoid (in order to not set off the smoke alarm in my apartment, which sends me into panic mode on rare occasions it screams).I ventilate the apartment while using it. So far, I made two batches of delicious shakshuka and chicken Milanese with terrific results — plus, there are usually leftovers since I live alone. The pan imparts fantastic flavor, caramelizing vegetables expertly, plus giving meat or grilled sandwiches an even, crispy crust. One tip: if you’re making shakshuka, remove the pan from heat a bit sooner than you think you should. This was an affordable buy that will perform for years. Every single living cooking snob should get one, but remember to ventilate well (I run my air purifier afterwards, too). Bon appetit, folks!

Title: Perfect size & weight for my French Door countertop oven.
Review: Love that Lodge has made a skillet with double handles in a small enough size to fit in countertop/toaster ovens.I use it every day either in the Emeril 360 convection oven or on my stove top or in my full size propane range convection oven.It heats up very quickly. Clean up is a breeze..it’s quite new to me so I’m still breaking it in but only once has food stuck (it was an egg and they’re notorious for sticking to everything).Looking forward to many years of use from this pan.
