Title: This is Uber Time Saving
Review: This has to be the most idiot proof file for a chainsaw I have ever seen. Educated myself and watched videos prior to use. Extremely easy and highly effective. This is THE WAY to sharpen a chainsaw! ! ! My saw has never cut this well!!!

Title: Best manual chain sharpening system
Review: FInally a manual system that works perfect! Its repeatable, consistent and super easy to use. This system sharpens the cutting teeth and adjusts the depth gauge in one step.Ive tried all the different 'flavors' of manual chain saw sharpeners and never ever got consistent results- Bottom line, this sharpener REMOVES all the guesswork out of sharpening your chain and if you can simply keep the angle that is embossed on the guides - it WILL result in a like new sharp chain.I use a permanent marker to set my start point and follow the guide marks on the system - its crazy easy, consistent and critically, repeatable all the way around the chain. We had lightening drop a huge oak on our property recently (over 100' tall) and consisted of 6 trunks. Limbed them, and then cut them into manageable lengths for the tractor to move. I have an Echo 539 Timberwolf with a 20" bar - Using this system during the cut work was FAST, and the cut shavings were nice large flakes, no vibration during cutting or jumping, and the saw dropped through the largest of cuts with ease and stayed steady and straight. Crazy sharp and it holds the edge a good long while. Must buy -

Title: Makes an idiot act sharp
Review: Recently bought a Stihl 172C from a late season winter storm with lots of downed trees. I went to war with the leaned over lumber and buzzed through a bunch of wood. The chain was obviously dull after a day of cutting. I found this tool to be easy to use with clear illustration on the tool itself. Using 2-3 passes while keeping the tool aligned at proper angle (per the bar reference alignment lines) it was easy to gauge when sharp and move onto the next chain tooth and I started with the first tooth behind green chain link as reference to finishing one side and rotate bar to other side. Chain was obviously much sharper upon my first attempt at sharpening and my sharpening technique will improve with more use. Great purchase

Title: Well worth it
Review: I was going to buy a far more complex attachment sharpener, but saw the reviews for this and figured I’d give it a try.Works great on my Husky saw, which is a bit underpowered compared to a Sthil, so sharpness really helps.I suspect I’ll still use a dremel every now and then but this will be my daily go to.

Title: Better than expected.
Review: This is the best chainsaw sharpener I have used. It is easy to use, it sharpens the chainsaw, blade, easy and efficiently. It takes about five minutes to sharpen the blade on both sides and the side really cuts well after the sharpening. It may seem a little expensive, but it is worth every penny.

Title: Does what it should
Review: I have one of these for my 325 chain, i bought it at the same time i bought my new saw at the Stihl dealer. I have not received this one yet but I assume it will work just like the one I already own.I bought this Stihl brand 2-in-1 sharpener because I know it works the way it was designed to. I do not know if the other less expensive brands do the job that this one does? This uses 2 round files and 1 flat file. It will only go together 1 way correctly so if the opening end wont close easily and neatly than you got a file in the wrong way. The instructions wont tell you in the detail that I am right now. It took me about 15 minutes to figure it out the 1st time. When I get this new one from Amazon it will take me less than 1 minute to put it together and use it. Once you get it right you are a journeyman and will be able to show your friends how easily and great it works.Using it, it can set on your chain 4 different ways but only 1 way will be correct. It sharpens the teeth and will also lower the raker to the right height at the same time. This works for me! Without this wonderful tool you must lower the raker in a 2nd step.I clamp my bar (and saw) in a vice at home so this works easily. If I needed to resharpen using this tool while sitting on my tailgate out in the forest, (or on a log) im certain that I will be glad that i had this tool instead of a cheap off brand sharpener. I have already recommended this to more than 1 friend. The bench-vice is the easy way so do your best to get a vice for your home workshop or garage. I use a 4" good quality brand vice, a 6" might even be more secure.Another good piece of advise is order a new spare chain when you order this. That way you have 2 sharp chains when you head out AND you can sharpen BOTH when you get home in the warmth of your home work shop. This tool is only for a 3/8 P" chain. I had to buy another separate tool for my 325 chain.I hope that this will help someone.

Title: My chainsaw cuts wood like butter
Review: I needed three clamps, two to hold the saw and one to hold the chain from moving but after that it was super easy to quickly sharpen the chain. And now my chainsaw cuts stumps like butter

Title: Happy overall
Review: Wonderful product. Takes all the guesswork out of sharpening a chain. Quick, effective, and virtually idiot proof. Highly recommend, especially for those unfamiliar with sharpening chains. It not only files teeth, but the rakers as well, leaving your saw throwing the chips it is supposed to.

Review: Of all the tools available I chose the Stihl tool due to its simplicity and ease of use. Like that fact that the files are standard and can be easily replaced. Used twice so far and works well.

Review: This simple but clever tool makes chain saw sharpening very easy and the results are amazing. It is simple to use and it only takes a few minutes to sharpen a chain. It is all set up for perfect cutting angles and sharpens the teeth and reduces the rakers at the same time. You go around once for right-sloped teeth, flip the sharpener over and go around again for the left-sloped teeth. Highly recommended.

Review: I have always agreed that the sharpest a chain will ever be is when it is brand new. The currant chain on the saw was new and now has been sharpened with this tool 3 times and I cant tell the difference between the first time I used it the new chain, and now. So easy to use, and great results (so far)
