Title: Gift or keep?
Review: POE will earn a place in toy history. Even Forbes magazine lamented finding anything AI available for Christmas! That makes Poe something of a rarity for 2024.Powered by Open A.I., the bears have expandable capabilities and purchasable modules that I wasn't aware of until I read the packaging. The POE AI STORY CREATOR app is a free download and the toy includes basic and premium cloud AI supported features.There's support for over 40 languages and is 100% safe content for children. It's suggested for ages 4+.It needs 4x AA batteries to work. They are not included.It's very tempting to simply put these away as an investment since these are the amongst the very first AI devices/toys to be available and could very well become a collector item. But I'm going to fulfill my original intent of buying a couple of these bears to be donated to the local Firefighter's Christmas toy drive. Being able to fire the imagination of a child is a priceless investment.

Title: Poe tells a different story every time!
Review: Poe is amazing! You get to choose from lots of story elements and then Poe tells a unique story based on your choices. The stories are very engaging, plus you get to choose the age of your child which dictates how simple or complex the story will be.

Review: This bear told my kid he should "learn cursive or else." When I asked, the bear said, "You talking to me Big McGee"?" Like huh. So yes. I'm mad. Pretty mad. Title: The app isn’t finished yet
Review: Looks like the makers have goofed in releasing the bear before the app is ready. Can’t currently (27/09/24) save stories to play back later on the bear. Their website said 5 days ago that they were “days” away from releasing a version of the app that allows storage of stories in the app & on the bear through a library function but when I checked the website today all the information had been removed including the link to downloading the app! It is possible to use the bear with the app in its current form but you can only use the bear while you have the app open and once you close down the app any created stories are lost. I would advise anyone interested in buying this product to wait until the finalised version of the app giving full functionality is released.An app update was released on 14/10/24 to save stories to the bear but, as another reviewer has stated, this only allows one story to be stored on the bear. It can’t be removed and no more stories can be transferred. The stories can however now be stored on in the app & played on the bear while the app is open. I’ll add to this review once the manufacturers have released another update. Hopefully they’ll finally get it right .

Title: Smarter than your average bear
Review: I remember how Teddy Ruxpin was all the rage back when I was a kid in the 80s, but it was really expensive and required you to buy tapes and books to get all the stories. Fast forward 40 years, and you've got Poe, its spiritual successor that takes advantage of AI and the Internet to be everything kids in the 80s would have loved to have in a storytelling bear.Now your kids CAN have it, and it's wild how the AI can generate spontaneous stories using only icon-driven prompts. This is the real deal. 5-year olds will be captivated by it and older kids will find it fun to come up with wacky stories as well. And it doesn't involve that much screen time - imagine that!Nice job, Skyrocket! Like their Pandemic toy-pup Moji, this one looks to be a winner.

Title: Fun custom stories
Review: You get to make your own stories about anything that interests your kids. There are hundreds of pictures that you pick from (princess, baseball, dog, taco, etc) and the bear will tell you a story about those items.Bear is also cute.

Review: The interface between the app and the bear does not work as described. The bear will only download one story from the app, as a result it can only tell one story. The mouth stops moving.
