Title: Exactly as expected, works quickly and produces very nice shreds
Review: The companion to the larger OXO coarse cheese grater, this small model is also an etched grater that produces a fine shred quickly, but is uni-directional instead of bi-directional like so many graters these days. Like most any food, grated cheese begins oxidizing the moment it is shredded, so the flavor of cheese shredded from a brick is really much better than buying from a bag. Because it's etched, it's super-sharp, so I wouldn't recommend it for shaky or clumsy hands.PROS:• Nice, comfortable grip• Etched super-sharp surface lets you grate with less pressure• Narrow profile makes grating a less messy affair• Blade cover enhances storage safety• Super-fine, short shreds make for easiest melting and less messCONS:• Not suitable for shaky or clumsy hands due to extreme sharpness• Ultra-sharp grating surface can be a challenge to clean - rinse immediately with hot water after use before dishwashing

Review: This cheese grader is a huge upgrade from the last one we owned. My only gripe with it is that it's a little small. Its easy to hold, and super easy to use. I just wish they would have made it like an inch wider and longer. Then it would be perfect.

Title: So much easier than a box brater
Review: Easier, quicker, etc., etc. than a box grater for hard-medium cheeses I use a lot for cooking. Much better mechanics - easier handling and less "breaking apart" of medium cheeses during grating. Also easier to estimate and measure amounts on a real-time basis. Control and precision vs. blunt-force.
