Title: A cookbook for people who don't like cookbooks
Review: I am a fully trained professional cook, retired. Cooking is one of my life-long joys and I have owned three cookbooks for the last 15 years. Now I own four. I have had this one for less than a week and I have bought copies for four close friends and family members. What makes this book worthy of inclusion in my tiny cookbook library is the fact that it actually introduces useful and novel techniques for making the incredible food at Kripalu. I am fan of visiting Kripalu, it's a short drive from New York City, and I"ll confess that while I want everyone to think I'm going for the healthful rest and yoga, I'm going for the food. The food is incredible.I am now blessed to have food in the fridge that tastes like I brought it home from the cafeteria on the second floor of Kripalu. You can too. This book is easy to cook from, has a clear vision of what makes a recipe work, and will help you find your way to a diet that works for you. If you were my friend, one would be on the way.

Title: Fantastic!
Review: SO I like the hardcover book even though I know there is a ton of resources out there on the internet, I still like to be able to turn the pages, see the pictures and have a book in hand. This is a great resource for people who are looking to change their diet with easy to use recipes. I love the pictures and descriptions of the food...â¦â¦..it is made into an art in this book! I would highly recommend this book and thank you Kripalu for sharing these wonderful recipes!

Title: This is a must have cookbook regardless of the diet you adhere to.
Review: I have been fortunate enough to visit Kripalu several times and have had the honor of meeting Jeremy Rock Smith. He is a great chef and I am thrilled that he put out a cookbook. The photography is absolutely beautiful and the recipes are relatively simple, healthy, and full of flavor. I preordered this book months ago and so glad I did! It will make you want to visit Kripalu and enjoy Jeremyâs food while surrounded by natural beauty and lovely people.

Title: A Healthy and Delicious Approach to Eating
Review: My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health about two years ago and fell in love with the food offerings at the resort. Their dishes were healthy and delicious with enough variety to appeal to everyone. I purchased The Kripalu Kitchen in the hopes that I would be able to recreate these same meals in my home kitchen. The Kripalu Kitchen cookbook includes 125 recipes separated into categories for Breakfast, Breads, Soups, Salads, Buddha Bar, Mains, Vegetables and Grains, and Sweets and Drinks. The book begins with a long introduction to personal nutrition, mindful eating, cooking basics, and Ayurveda, identifying and encouraging readers to pin-point their own mind-body type (dosha), either vata, pitta or kapha. Recipes identify which dish works best for each dosha. This is a beautiful cookbook with thick, glossy pages. Photographs are included with many, but not all of the recipes. Recipes are often on multiple pages, resulting in the need to flip to the next page while cooking with (sometimes) dirty fingers. As for the recipes, for the most part theyâre very good. The Linguine with Pumpkin Sage âAlfredoâ and Kale Pesto was great, even though the recipe doesnât actually include any sage. I used frozen diced butternut squash to save time and pistachios in the pesto as that was all I had on-hand. The recipe came together quickly after work and was devoured in no time. The Mushroom Cheesesteaks were fabulous and had my carnivore husband remarking that he didnât miss the meat.I had never eaten tempeh before and was eager to try the Coconut-Crusted Tempeh with Mango Ginger Salsa. Itâs a personal preference, but we found the tempeh to be very dry. The coconut coating and salsa were delicious, so I might try this one again with chicken. The Coconut Chana Saag with the Vegetable Biryana was amazing, enough said.Overall, this is a solid cookbook that opens a lot of doors to those trying to eat more healthful diets. I will mention, in the interest of leaving a balanced review that there is no nutrition information included for any of the dishes; in a healthy eating cookbook, that would be very helpful.

Title: Fabulously mouthwatering
Review: The green pea mint soup recipe sold me on this book. Bought 2, one for me, one for a friend. We both love this book and the delectably intriguing recipes.

Title: this is a great cookbook
Review: It's hard to say what I like best about this cookbook. Probably it's how well it captures the amazing food at Kripalu. The book has all sorts of other virtues. Ingredients are straightforward & easy-to-find. I've made 15 or so of the recipes, and all of them come in at 30 minutes or less of preparation.Mainly, though, the recipes are just very, very good. This book is a delightful way to eat healthily, and I can't say that of any other cookbook I own.

Title: Yum!
Review: I preordered this on January 31st, as soon as I heard it was coming out! I received it on April 16th and was beyond excited! Itâs beautiful. So much valuable information, gorgeous pictures and the recipes are all so tempting. I think the Tofu scramble is going to be first recipe Iâm trying.

Title: Beautiful recipe book but not for me
Review: Beautiful pictures of food, dishes and the retreat. If you are buying for the Ayurveda aspect of it, it falls short. Many recipes have ingredients not compatible as per Ayurveda like milk and eggs together. Some recipes use Canned beans, and also includes some fish and chicken recipes.

Review: So good to find a plant based diet book written by a trained chef. The difference is apparent from the first recipe.Quite simply the best cookbook in the market. Amazing original and nutrient rich recipes, clear unambiguous information wonderful photos and inclusive of all tastes. I bought this book last year on kindle and use no other. About to treat myself to the hard copy. Thanks to all who went onto making this book I love it.
Customers say
Customers find the recipes in the book incredible, full of flavor, and easy to follow for vegetarians. They appreciate the helpful explanations relevant to the health benefits for the dishes. Readers describe the photography as gorgeous and beautifully illustrated. However, some feel the book lacks some recipes they hoped to see, has ingredients not compatible as per Ayurveda, and the spice combinations are uninspired.
