Title: Great book!
Review: this is a X-mas gift for my mom, she loves trying new restaurants. And she always asks me to find her the best rated restaurants for us to go to. She watches all the Chicago restaurant review shows.I skimmed through this before wrapping it up, and it is great!It has restaurants from hole in the walls, $5/plate to upscale $50-100/plate. So great for any occasion, whether you're celebrating or just looking for a good bite to eat.I'd say, from what I saw they had in my area, that the restaurants are going to be great. They had all the best places listed from my town, and I live in a little suburb. They definitely did their research!Can't wait until after Christmas, so my mom and I can start trying out all the other restaurants!Plus it is such a great price!

Title: Comprehensive Modern Take on Chicago Restaurants
Review: I very much appreciate the comprehensiveness nature and very well written style of the Food Lovers' Guide to Chicago. It breaks Chicago restaurants down into digestible pieces to help the reader figure out where they want to go. You can tell that the writer takes her job extremely seriously and truly loves food, which is exactly who I want to take my recommendations from. I keep my Guide close at hand and thumb through it when trying to determine which of the thousands of restaurants in this food-oriented city that I want to try. This guide helps me find my way in a complicated and delicious food maze!

Title: Be sure to call first?..
Review: In this economic climate be sure you check to see if the places you want to visit are still open. Books like this one have been done for Chicago and they had to re edit and reprint to keep up with the closings. Some of this book is all ready wromg
