Title: Great recipes that are full of flavor, and a great gift
Review: this book is a great guide to make all your favorites from scratch (or if you just want the recipes, the author provides alternatives for making the noodles/dumplings from scratch) with helpful photos to demonstrate the more technical parts. itâs approachable for a beginner home cook as long as the passion and patience is there. this book is something where on my first try, everything was delicious, but i know after practicing that I will be able to get the full potential of the dish, so if you are a cook who is looking to improve their technique, this is a great way to learn. most importantly, everything I have made from the book is positively chock full of flavor in every bite! if itâs not for you, it makes a great gift for the far eastern food enthusiast in your life.

Title: Buy this cookbook, you wonât regret it. And the chili oil ð¥°ððððð
Review: First all of the recipes are delicious and so easy but thatâs not even why I love this cookbook. I am not normally a cookbook person because you never have what you need and you have to buy a million things for each recipe and itâs frustrating so you never actually make anything. With this book you get a list of 6 or 7 things to get and that makes 90% of every recipe! It is the ONLY cookbook I keep out on my counter because I use it so much. I just pre-ordered her next one and I canât wait for it to come!! Oh and the chili oil is ð¥ ð¥°ð¥°ð¥°ð¥°ð¥°

Title: Great book
Review: I bought this after seeing the stir-up from a non Asian writing an Asian cookbook. My mom is American, my dad Pinoy. My mom cooks great Filipino food, better than most natives. The book is easy to follow and once you have the basics down, as far as dumpling dough or noodles, then you're free to experiment with different fillings and tastes. The recipes she has written look great. I will try those first and then try some Pinoy fillings.

Title: Best Cookbook EVER.
Review: Wow. I am so excited for this cookbook. I have never wanted to cook every single recipe in a cookbook until this. Every recipe has photos and is so enticing. It has a full range of authentic asian recipes without apologizing for not having the ingredients readily available at your normal grocery store. The book is elegant yet playful in it's illustrations. The images are top notch and the recipes are mouthwatering. I cannot wait to see what else she does and for more books to come!!!!

Title: My new favorite cookbook
Review: This cookbook is amazing. Not only is it aesthetically gorgeous, but it is incredibly knowledgeable about the science of making noodles! In just making one recipe, I learned so much about what I had been doing wrong before. Also, this book is for vegans and omnivores alike. While many of the recipes are vegan already, many of the ones that arenât can be made vegan by subbing out egg or using aquafaba.Love this book! Canât wait to make more noodles!

Title: Disappointing
Review: I purchased this cookbook for my wife at Christmas. My wife and I are serious cooks and have been very disappointed with the two dumpling recipes weâve made. The ratios are all off and the dishes were bland after we cooked them. Iâm wondering who left all these five star reviews because this is not a good cookbook. For example, tonight we made the weeknight veggie goyza dumplings. The ratio of filling to wrapper is nuts. We added the 700g of cabbage as the recipe calls for, and there is so much filling left over that I will turn it into a salad tomorrow for lunch. Youâd be fine with 350g without much left over. Second, they were greasy.Yes, dumplings require practice, especially cooking them. One might have questions about recipe methods. Such as browning the dumplings, then steaming them, and then browning them again. Yes, those steps are important for a proper pan seared dumpling. Yet I found the method frustrating when they say to add about a centimeter of boiling water to the pan, cover and let gently simmer. Okay, my pan was set to medium heat, Iâve just added boiling water, hot oil spatters everywhere (expected that), but thereâs no gentle simmer. Itâs a full-on boil. So, do I turn down the heat to get a gentle simmer? Or keep the rolling boil? Based on my experience, I kept the rolling boil. And, it might also be helpful to remind people that when youâre searing something, it will loosen from the pan when it develops the crust and is sufficiently browned.Dumplings are my wifeâs thing. But not these. She isnât even interested in trying the noodles because she doesnât trust the recipes. No idea who tested these recipes. Unimpressed.
