Title: Used for Coop - bulbs hard to find
Review: I want to keep hens and being mentored by a friend who has 4. She refuses to let me get them until I have all of the supplies and know what I am doing and is adamant. We installed this heater in the coop, and she was impressed with the quick heat-up and with the housing stayed cool to the touch. Her advice was to always keep extra bulbs on hand as a burst bulb in the middle of winter is not a good thing. I did a lot of searching and could not find the bulb type. I plan to contact the seller for assistance. I am hoping that once I find the exact brand that it will be an easy reorder as needed. I cannot wait to pass my "caregiver" exam and put this to real use, but was told this was a good buy as long as I can find a steady supply of the bulbs.

Title: Chicken coop only.
Review: that was good but not very good its not very heated for pets but for small place is fine. I wil suggest to fix it in small place and for chicken not for dogs and cats. I have chickens so i fix it in their small place or room. This heat not very high as for pets but chickens is good. Buy for your chicken not for pets.

Title: Better than expected, nice extras too
Review: Let me preface this review with this statement; "I do NOT order items that I do not intend to use myself". That said; my use is in my "girls" house, 5 adorable and spoiled rotten little hens. This unit is very compact BUT packs a BIG punch. Being radiant, use with a thermostat, which is MY installation, has to be well thought out. The thermostat needs to be positioned so as to pick up on BOTH the overall coop temp and the reflected heat from the enclosure itself, you will need to experiment a bit to get the performance you want but not a really big deal. Also you will want to have cooling area for your birds to escape the direct heating to avoid them becoming OVER heated, THIS is really important, they will control themselves well IF they have the room to do so. PLEASE keep this in mind when using this type of heater. My coop do to its color warms nicely on a sunny but freezing day all by itself so having the thermostat to shut down this heater is a MUST. Set it up right and you will happy, and have healthy and birds all winter long.It comes with 2 intensity settings and an extra bulb. I DO recommend it as it is a lot of bang for your buck.

Title: Wow really puts out lots of heat
Review: Once assembled, I was surprised at how much heat this thing puts out. It really is thoughtfully packaged, since it comes with an extra bulb, a long cord and two really long chains. Very practical, useful and it will keep all the girls toasty! Much better than the old style round lamp with the flood light bulb - and puts out so much more heat. The two way switch is an extra bonus.
