Title: Too Much Repetition
Review: I love to cook too! I had never used Saffron before so I checked Amazon and found this book for 'beginners'. I thought I was going to get more info on how to use it and simple receipts but I was wrong. The majority of the dishes are for paella, which I get that its awesome but you can only eat it so often. I was looking for more info on adding saffron to chicken, salmon, scallops, tuna, pasta, etc. And, I wanted more info on could I grind up the threads and sprinkle them raw on top of food and is that ok? Or, should I always soak the threads in water? Can I soak it in wine or flavored oil? For that matter...can I sprinkle it on popcorn? Sounds crazy but hey, its a question. This book was visually nice but did not give much info on how and why. I can't remember the last time I bought a cookbook but maybe this is why. I've already found individual receipts for cooking w/saffron online which is what I usually do. I hope this is constructive criticism because along with cooking, books are a real passion with me.
