Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit helps you minimize the appearance and stop the spread of chips and cracks in your windshield. It removes air from the break, fills it with durable resin and makes it even stronger than before. For best results, repairs should be made as soon as possible after the damage occurs and before the break is contaminated by dirt or water. In addition, avoid the use of glass treatments after the crack has formed and prior to repair. However, glass treatments can be applied one (1) week after repair. The kit works best on round damage not more than one inch in diameter, and cracks not longer than 12 inches. It will not repair damage to more than one layer of glass.

Title: Easy to use and did fix a couple pits in the window.
Review: This gets good reviews so I went with it. The device is pretty easy to use. This is not going to yield professional results of a more expensive kit but it worked out pretty well for a couple pits in the window. I wasn't able to get the pit vanish clear but it work pretty well.

Title: Was skeptical at first, but it works!
Review: I was debating buying this kit or paying a company to come out and repair a nickel-sized windshield spiderweb crack on my car, and decided to give this kit a try. This was my first time using a glass repair kit and the results from this one were impressive! It took about 5 minutes to apply and then another 25 to dry and reapply additional coats a couple times. Instructions were clear, but I also watched a YouTube video before I started. Iâve included pictures before, during, and after.

Title: Works, but not as great as advertised
Review: It worked on my windshield. But still there is apparent crack you can see even though it already minimized the cracks. But for the price you can complaint a lot since you don't need to replace the whole entire windshield.

Title: It works!
Review: I got a spider web crack on my windshield that was a little larger than a quarter in size. It took a lot of resin and a little extra time, but if you follow the instructions, it absolutely filled in all the cracks and has held up through car washes so far. You canât even see it anymore. Super easy, cheap fix.

Title: Works well
Review: I had to fill a chip before a vehicle inspection but it was not a sunny day. Regardless, this still worked. It was cloudy, but bright out.I started in the garage simply following the directions. A lot of the resin came out the first squeeze. Itâs quite runny. It sufficiently filled the chip and covered well with the cure strips. After a couple hours, I peeled off the strip and used the razor blade to shave the excess material. You can barely see the chip lines.Iâd say itâs well worth the price.

Title: Leaky mess!!
Review: I will preface by saying that I have done a lot of maintenance and repairs on my car, and as an artist I have worked with resin casting and coating for years. That said, this was a tough kit to work with.I had two small chips in the center of my windshield I wanted to reinforce so I decided to give this product a try. The first hurdle was getting the applicator base completely centered on these tiny chips - though I will say that once in place those suction cups are not going *anywhere* until you pull the tabs, they're very strong and hold the base in place very well. The largest source of frustration for me lies with the choice in design for the resin bottle. The cap does not lock in any way, it just kind of sits on top and does not give any kind of seal to the bottle, which means it will leak. EVERYWHERE. Not only did this create a mess but this also means it's not good to store for a later use, making it a wasteful one use item. Finally, there is nothing stopping you from over tightening the pressure driver. There's no safety stopper, not even a marking or a diagram in the instructions - it simply says to tighten until it is "almost all the way in", which is vague and subjective. I learned very quickly that what I thought was "almost in" was enough to physically push the resin chamber up off my windshield. I believe that this step prevented my application from being as effective as it could have been. I kept checking from inside and could still see a dark spot indicating bubbles, so I kept adding more and more resin. By the end I had put 6 drops into the chamber and when I removed the applicator base from the glass, I could still physically see this tiny chip was still empty as all the resin started to run down my windshield. Luckily I had the curing strips in hand and could catch it all before it got too far. Ultimately I wound up peeling the curing strip back enough to apply resin directly from the bottle and that seemed to work okay, but the resin never quite filled it all the way (this chip's circumference is barely larger than a needle's eye, it should have been much easier to force the air out and resin in...)All these things combined meant that messes were all too easy to make. I believe myself to be a careful person, yet when I got in my car to park in the sun I had no less than 10 rogue drips scattered across my windshield and my hands still stink of it from repeatedly having to touch the leaky bottle. All in all, it took a full hour to fill two tiny chips. Did it work? More or less (which is why it gets 2 stars). But I will probably pay someone else to do this next time.

Title: This actually worked really well
Review: Final results were not perfect but the star burst lines were gone. I believe I pushed too hard when injecting the liquid resin. I will definitely try and be a little easier on injecting the resin into the chip.

Review: Tbh I didnât expect this to work at first, but the outcome is a pleasant surprise. Itâs not perfect, but it stopped the growth of that crack. And although I can still see a teeny tiny crack at certain angles, I think itâs good enough for now. Itâs so much cheaper than getting a new windshield. Worth every penny I spent on it.
