Title: Little guidance towards the "search for the perfect chocochip cookie"
Review: A collection of decent chocolate chip cookie recipe but lacks commentary on provided recipes. Expects you to make each recipe to figure out the outcome and decide for yourself if you like it or not. Would be nice if recipes were categorized in some manner (i.e. chewy cookies, crisp cookies, etc.)

Title: Lots of hits, only a few misses in this cookie book
Review: I don't usually bake, but when I do, I bake from this book.Seriously though, this book has all kinds of knowledge for the cookie baker and a whole host of recipes riffing on the classic chocolate chip cookie. Recipes are clear and approachable, and three out of four recipes tried so far have been great successes. The pumpkin recipe came out with a muffin-y texture, and while good, wasn't at all what I or other eaters expected. All in all a nice find for a cookie lover.

Review: This is a great book. So many options! But it also gives you information on how different ingredients affect the cookie so you can adjust recipes to suit your tastes - so helpful.Would make a great stocking filler for any cookie monsters!

Review: Being a bit of a chocoholic I absolutely love chocolate chip cookies, and really have been searching for the perfect recipe to make my own!Unfortunately, the first batch I made were horrible - dry and lacking in flavour, and I ended up with loads of them because the recipe only called for one egg and so couldn't easily be made smaller. The cookies eventually ended up in the bin, which was a real waste, and the recipe I used was the one for the winning cookie - supposedly the best!Have yet to try the other recipes in the book because I was so disappointed with the first, but have instead found my own favourite recipe for chocolate chip cookies in another book - The All-American cookie book - The All-American Cookie Book - The recipe in here for chewy chocolate chunk monster cookies is amazing! The cookies are crispy and brown on the edges and chewy everywhere else - just how they should be.Personally I don't think that this book contains the 'perfect' chocolate chip cookie recipe, but it certainly does have loads of options for you to try if you want to, such as :creme de menthe chocolate chunk cookies, spicy chocolate chip pumpkin cookies, orange chocolate chip cookies, sour cream chocolate chip cookies, double peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, and loads more.If you're a cookie fanatic with the time and resources to test out all the recipes in this book then go for it, but if you really do want the perfect cookie recipe, I didn't find it in this book.
