Title: Helpful book on a difficult topic
Review: There are almost no books on how to use cookie molds, an art that once was common in the German community. This book fills the void with detailed instructions and recipes. I highly recommend it.

Title: An important contribution to food history and the home baking repertoire
Review: This is an excellent reference for the food historian as well as anyone who is serious about baking with cookie molds. Her explanation of molded cookies throughout history is very interesting, and her long-lost secret ingredient will make you slap your forehead in a classic why-didn't-I-think-of-that moment. I've been using clay molds for years but because they are so tempramental, I never felt confident I could make a wooden mold work until I found Miss Watson's book. Her instructions work! They are expertly written with all the tips and extras needed for success. She has resurrected a dying art and make it accessible to the serious home cook. This book is a treasure.

Review: The only thing I didn't like about this book was the part explaining how cookie molds came to be. It seemed too simply written as if for a toddler. I did learn more about how to take care of, and use molds that I did with another cookbook I bought. That one didn't explain how to season the mold, or how to mix the cookie dough to get the most out of the mold. I really recommend this book for beginners and experts alike.

Review: This isn't just a boring book written by a baker. The author is an experienced author, and an entertaining one at that. I really felt I was being transported through time as she whimsically described the history of baking with molds, from country to country, all the way up to present time. Review: This book had repeated pages that made reading it a bit confusing at first….I have lots of cookie moulds and was not having any success releasing the dough from any of them. This book gives you the secret to getting the moulded dough out onto the cookie sheets…..so to me it was worth all the confusion and spelling mistakes to find this out.
