It's Tessa and Weston's first Christmas together, and Tessa is determined to make it the best holiday ever. But when her estranged mother shows up with a suitcase and plans to stay for two weeks, Tessa's hopes are shattered.
Bitter from the past and still holding a grudge, Tessa is in no mood to give her mother a second chance. The holiday season may be a time of reconciliation with family, but Tessa believes her mother will never change. Why get close when she's just going to leave again? Tessa realizes there is only one way to save this Christmas: avoid her mother as much as possible.
With the best intentions in mind, Tessa chooses to not tell her mother about Weston's disability. But when they meet face-to-face, Tessa is mortified and ashamed by her mother's insensitive remarks. Weston begins to think he is the real cause of Tessa's shame. His old demons resurrect to haunt him with doubts: What if, one day, Tessa stops loving him because of his disability?
Determined to prove his love for her, Weston makes it his mission to be the best boyfriend ever and works to reunite Tessa with her mother. Meanwhile, Tessa plots elaborate ways to avoid "mother-daughter time" at all costs. One scheme leads to another, until Tessa finds herself tangled in a web of deceit - and, worst of all, lying to Weston.
When the secrets between them force Tessa and Weston to face their greatest fears, they must confront the inescapable question: Is true love worth the risk of heartbreak? Is it ever too late to forgive and start over?
The Best Christmas Ever is a heartwarming holiday follow-up to 100 Days of Sunlight by Abbie Emmons. You'll love this touching story of forgiveness, family, and first love.

Title: Great continuation
Review: It is an excellent way of extending the story of Tessa and Weston. A very realistic portrayal of young people overcoming physical disabilities and then falling in love with each other.

Title: A cozy read; perfect for Christmas!
Review: I was so excited about this sequel. I loved 100 Days of Sunlight, and I definitely wanted more after finishing that book. This story felt like watching a cute YA version of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Itâs cute, cozy, and romantic. I finished the book in just a few days because it was a fun enjoyable escape.Iâm rating it 5 stars because I was engaged the entire time, and a few days after finishing it, Iâm still thinking about it.SpoilersThe âmomâ problems Tessa had to work out with her own mother really added to the story. In 100 Days, I wondered why she lived with her grandparents instead of her parents, and this is revealed in this story. I became emotional reading through some of the parts involving Tessa and her mother. Itâs probably because Iâm also a mom, and I canât imagine having to make the choice to give up my babies so they could have a better life. It may be a lot to ask of Abby, but I would love a story for Tessaâs mom. I think she has her own story to tell and Iâd like to see her meeting someone who makes her happy.Tessa and Weston are so darn cute. Theyâre definitely in the new stages of their relationship, but as their relationship gets more serious, they have to work out problems like how most couples do in relationships. A big issue is that theyâre 17 and just insecure in their own skin. My only critique of this book is I think that Tessa and Weston seem too serious for being in high school. I mean, I know there are plenty of couples who end up marrying their high school sweethearts, but personally, I think itâs too young to be talking about marriage. Maybe thatâs just me being an old mom, lol. Perhaps if Tessa and Weston were a little older, Iâd be ok with it, but they just seem so young in this story.Overall, I loved the little escape the story provided. I needed it. Looking forward to more from Abby!

Title: Light and Charming but also DEEP!
Review: This book was so touching. Abbie Emmons has a freshness to her writing. I love the Tessa / Weston story from 100 Days of Sunshine and this is such a wonderful 2nd book about their story. I love how it's told from their two different perspectives. It captures such relatable feelings of wanting to be loved, and the inherent vulnerability of knowing that we are appreciated and wanted for who we are. Such a great read! If you want to a cozy, christmas-y, romantic, and heart-warming feeling this is the BOOK!

Title: Good!
Review: Tessa wants to make this the best Christmas ever for Weston until her mom comes to visit and she doesnât know what to do.I read the second book right after the first book, 100 Days of Sunlight. I enjoy this so much more than the first. Donât get me wrong, the first is very well written but this book drew me in. I could barely put it down and it was super cute!I recommend this book so much! I would give it 7 out of 10 stars or 4 out of 5 stars.

Title: RECOMMEND 1000% Cute story. Great moral.
Review: I had to read one of Abbie's books. I have "just" as one of my go-tos too. Haha! The storyline was wonderful and after reading 2 Chapters, I went back and we read it for homeschool. To find the girl is HSed too. How neat!I've not read much YA but the fact the male character shows leadership, empathy, level headedness and shoots straight from the hip is refreshing. Too much androgeny out there. The boy is someone I'd hope for for my six daughters. The girl shows the lack of maturity expected (and I've experienced 4 times nowvto not include myself at 16) for someone who had a mother who did her wrong (as mine did). This was a delightful read and I'd RECOMMEND 1000%.I'm a pantser usually, but Abbie shows on her YT channel the advantages of plotting, which I'm doing for my next year's series. This book exhibits the thoughtfulness Abbie put into it. It's a great book. Seriously ð

Review: Not gonna lie, I didn't like Tessa ever since she was instroduced but I kept reading because I instantly loved Weston. And I'm glad I did! Tessa is particularly bratty in this one too, but she and Wes are the perfect pair, what are you gonna do! I think this is a testament of a good character, when they make you feel things about them, even feelings of disagreement.Abbie's writing is entertaining from the first page to the last. Even though it's a light reading, there's great character development.I love that we got a sort of continuation of this duo because 100 Days kind of ended too fast for me. I always wonder "what happens after happily ever after?" And we got the answer here, the whole whirlwind that is real love: doubts, hope, misunderstandings, mistakes, getting to know each other's flaws and limits, overflows of joy, learning to trust and forgiveness.

Review: I really like this book. It's so good I couldn't put it down, just like 100 Days of Sunlight, which I read before. The moral of the story is really inspirational and the characters are relatable. I look forward reading more books by Abbie Emmons

Review: I usually binge-read stories. Or at least read stories within a week. I binge-read the first book. I didn't with this. I actually DNFed it. I do plan to read again around christmas, but I don't think I'll like it the second time, either.I wasn't invested in the characters. I didn't care about the relationship. In the first book, I was. But this isn't the first book. The first book had its faults, like its beginning needing a rewrite. This book? Just fell flat. I should think "Maybe it should have been a stand alone instead of a series" but it's not that. The books - this one and the last one feel rushed. The first one it was the beginning and with this one it's the premise. What I was promised by the blurb. It was just not happening - or it was taking too long to happen (I don't know because I didn't finish reading).Great ideas. Should have had another draft of the work. Published before it was ready. BUT It's the second book published by this author, so she gets a little bit of slack. A little.Disappointed overall. Waste of money. Especially since the books are more expensive than they usually are. I payed for a kindle what I should've for a paperback. *sigh* The money wasn't an issue - I don't care as long as its a good book - but I thought I needed to add that.
